Great little gem of a shop! Great selection of art supplies for all; whether you’re a beginner, somewhere in between or an avid artist. The small sized art classes that are offered are excellent! Very personal, and comfortable for any level. I’ve taken an acrylic class and a watercolor so far! Highly recommend stopping in!

I have shopped here a couple of times. Between Walter greeting me with tail wags, the attentiveness of the staff (Walter included), the quality and quantity of supplies, and the local art featured I was beyond impressed. Recently my girlfriends and I took an art class with Emily Bookmiller. I can't recommend taking a class with her enough! She was such a great teacher and so fun to spend time with! We did print making and we had a blast! We will definitely be taking another class and I will be back for more supplies.

A hidden gem in the community. If you’re, like me, dissatisfied by big name stores and looking for a local alternative, The Art Shoppe is the place to be. It gives a personal touch each visit and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a fun and exciting trip for me. I found everything I needed and was welcomed to test out pencils as I decided on the type I needed for a project. To me that goes above and beyond. I’m already planning my next trip back and even looking into the classes being offered. Thank you everyone at the Art Shoppe!

Mohawk Valley Art Shoppe is such an awesome addition to Schenectady. I have enjoyed taking the different painting classes offered and Devery has everything an artist needs. She also displays the works of local artists which are available to purchase. Devery is a supportive part to the growing success of Downtown Schenectady! Go see her beautiful shop, you won’t be disappointed!

Mohawk Valley Art Shoppe is an amazing place. Devery is knowledgeable and kind. A quaint shop with something for everyone from novice to experienced. The weekend Art classes are excellent.

My new favorite art store. High quality materials i could not find anywhere else. You can also buy locally made art and a portion goes to charity.
