Susy Kitchen, Authentic Mexican Food

The food here is very delicious and the owner is super friendly. We ordered fish tacos and the size of fish is even bigger than the tortilla lol The wait time for the food might be longer but it’s definitely worth it.

Susy's Kitchen is an amazing little stop off the 101 Freeway. You can tell by the quality of her food that Susy takes pride in her recepies and that she cooks with her heart. Anytime that I have gone to her restaurant or gone to the mobile food truck she has in Paso Robles, I've had nothing but phenomenal experiences. Everything taste so fresh, from the quesabirrias, to tacos, to burritos, tortas, sopes, menudo, anything in the menu gives me feeling of that home cooked meal my hispanic mother makes. Susy's salsa's are some of the best I've had anywhere on the Central Coast and I'd wager she makes the best Salsa.

Excellent experience! Not only the food was great but the service was top notch. They brought out a variety of salsas and chips for us to try as we waited for our food and even brought out carnitas for us to taste. Fun atmosphere with delicious and authentic Mexican food!

Great place fresh ingredients made to order. Even the pico de gallo with tortillas was fresh and home made.

Driving back to Seattle I was passing by through Atascadero looking for food, came across Susy Kitchen. I got 3 tacos asada,chicken and fish. Each bite was full of flavor. My favorite one was the asada one, enjoyed every single bite! Susy also made fresh tortillas chips which were amazing! Definitely recommend if driving through the area or even if your a local. Susy is friendly and welcoming

Susy is sweet and makes delicious food. She made me fresh homemade tortillas for my birria plate. I am from Sacramento and will definitely be returning when I’m in the area. Best Mexican food I’ve had since I’ve been in town for three days. This place deserves 10 stars.

This is a really cute place. The owner of Susy stopped and chatted with me as I was sitting outside. Her son who was behind the grill did an amazing job. It’s hard to find healthy food when you travel, but here I found an amazing vegetarian burrito that was grilled to perfection. Full of tomato, lettuce, onions, avocado, beans, and rice. It was delicious and filling And healthful!

Amazing stop for food, the Salsa Roja is the best I've had, insanely delicious and just the right amount of spicy. I ordered the quesabirria tacos and a huarache and they were not only larger than I expected, but immaculate in taste. 10/10 must try. Susy is an amazing hostess and has an amazing story of how she built her restaurant up from nothing. Please stop by, talk a bit, and have some great food!!!

WOW I just tried this place for the first time tonight and it's some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I was a bit wary at first because there were literally just 2 people working in the kitchen on a Friday night, including Susy herself (I'm pretty sure). It's a tiny place, and I think calling ahead seems to be the best way to order, which I didn't realize, so I just showed up and ordered at the counter. Then I almost felt bad because it was as if Susy herself had to go cook an entire home-cooked meal from scratch after I put in my order. I joked to my husband that it's almost like, you order sour cream and then they go in the back and milk the cow. There weren't any other people at the restaurant while I was waiting which made me start to wonder, but two separate people showed up right as I got my food, who had clearly called ahead. Lesson learned for next time. Anyway I got home and we dove into the food and WOW, we were blown away. My husband was like "I think they made these tortillas themselves," and I was like "They did! She told me it would take 10 minutes." You can really taste all the effort they put into making everything from scratch, you really don't get that in typical American restaurants. I'm a little worried about how these guys can possibly do all this with such a small staff but that is some amazing food so we will be back for sure!! And will call ahead next time. ;)

Susy’s kitchen is an amazing spot and Susy is the sweetest! Very kind and the food was delicious. Had 4 tacos and tried the pollo, asada, and birria which all had amazing flavors! Also had their guacamole which was delicious and perfectly seasoned. A must visit when in the area, I can’t wait to come back!

Great little casual place run by the owner, Susy. She made all our food to order, and even made me a veggie burrito though it wasn't on the menu. Quesobirria was excellent, as were all the tacos and the cheese quesadilla. Salsas are tasty, and the salsa roja has a kick. Plenty of outdoor seating. Nothing fancy, but the place was clean and cute. Definitely worth a stop for a meal.

I wish I had taken more photos of the food but it was too good to stop eating! The chicken burrito and carnitas huarache were both excellent. We loved our stop at Susy’s - highly recommend if you’re in the area! She even stopped by our table to see how we were doing. Lovely family establishment.

Genuine Mexican food, absolutely delicious. It feels like you've just sat down in a Mexican mother's home and get food brought to you. The place is small, but that's part of its charm. The owners are so so so very kind. I told them I liked spicy food, so she brought me a special sauce and grilled me a jalapeño to eat with my tacos.

Because the place is so small and humble, you really get taken care of when you sit down. You will eat well and be treated well. 5 stars, I'm so glad I stopped here on my drive and will be stopping by whenever I pass the town.

This place is amazing. Felt at home right away. I met Suzy and basically was comfortable enough to tell her I’m hungry for breakfast and I’ll eat anything she gives me! Voila!
She’s so nice and food is so good.
You don’t find this in big cities.
Suzy recently lost her long time husband and what makes her happy is feeding customers. It was 10 am and I was her first customer.

As a very picky person, I can safely say the food is authentic and cooked with love and integrity. Susy is a fantastic person, strong in faith and very hospitable. If you're driving by, I highly recommend this place; you will feel right at home. My family had tacos, tortas, and quesadillas, and they were all delicious.

Don't let the look of the building fool you. It's like going to your favorite aunt's house that loves to feed you. With great spirit and God in her heart. You'll leave blessed and spoiled with love. Homemade tortillas. Carne asada taste like it's been bbq by the best. Fresh salsa and salad. My picky eating son ate his chicken enchiladas, rice, and beans so fast you know that it was GOOD!! Absolutely incredible food, family owned and operated and everyone is so kind. Every meal we have had is off the charts will definitely be coming back!

Very good Mexican food. First time there & I could not decide on the type of pork, sooo she made me a plste with pastor, canitas and chilli verde...wonderful.
