Chengdu Taste

The Fried Lamb with Cumin was spectacular.
I am picky about how lamb is done and often don’t like it but it was excellent. Lot of Sichuan flavor. Really great meal with just white rice.
We had crab Rangoon as an appetizer which paired well with the spicy from the lamb to balance it out.
The Braised Beef Noodle Soup was good but no where near as good as the lamb. Very plain noodles.
My date had Beef and OX Tripe in Chili Sauce. I didn’t try any because I am not a fan of tripe but he ate the whole thing so it must’ve been good.
I already can’t wait to get the spicy lamb again. It seems like it was probably a really nice restaurant inside before COVID maybe. They seem to do more take out now. They have Hot Pot tables and stuff which are maybe popular still on the weekends. I would like to come back and try it; it seems to be reasonable pricing for it.

You wouldn't expect Providence to have Chinese food that blows away any Chinese restaurant in Boston. But here you have it!

We’ve been searching for a good Sichuan restaurant in the area and this one is SO GOOD! You have to get the Dan Dan Noodles, Chong Qing Chicken (make sure to get the side of white rice, it helps with the spicy overload) and Pork Dumplings in chili oil. So so so good. A must try!! Service was also very good!

Best Chinese food I’ve had to date. Highlights: Chef’s Special Spicy Wings, Crab Rangoons, & Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil. Was referred to come here by a few friends and am so glad I made it. Perfect location to celebrate National Wing Day yesterday!

Great crystal shrimp dumplings & soup dumplings. Large menu and offerings including lamb, Hunan dishes, and whole fish. Great to see authentic > Americanised. Glass noodles in chili sauce, pickled vegetables, pea shoots, mapo tofu, and dry green beans were fantastic too. Pleasantly surprised to find decent authentic Chinese food in PVD. Calm place with booths and parking outside.

A must go place for authentic Sichuan Chinese food. A small place with adequate parking space. Food is yummy and service is fast. They were willing to accommodate substitutions so that my vegetarian girlfriend can have her soup. We order a tofu corn soup (modified from it's original chicken corn soup), mapo tofu w/o meat, Chengdu fish fillet, sour & spicy shredded potato, Sichuan spicy cold noodle.

BYOB Szechuan spot with great prices and ALL the flavor. Highlights were tofu with minced pork and pork dumplings. The extra sauce for dumplings goes great with the Dan Dan noodles as well! FYI they are moving to Smith Hill neighborhood in Providence in November 2019.

Special place. Providence has a lot of hidden gems but this is probably the best there is. My favorites are cumin lamb, chongqing chicken, smoked duck, and garlic ribs.

Truly great Chinese food. not the typical "American Chinese food", but proper, authentic Chinese food. Careful with some dishes as such, as they are properly hot, like real Sichuan food is supposed to be.

In terms of the food, this is the BEST chinese food in Rhode Island (authentic chinese food). The service does come off as rude but i personally think it’s just a matter of cultural differences. They just need to get an experienced server that understands how to interact with Americans.

As a Chinese I am very picky about Chinese restaurant here in the states. This one is the best, period. Love the spicy deep fried chicken. Double cooked pork with leek will take you to heaven.

Best Szechuan food in RI! I can't speak for the American-Chinese dishes but the Szechuan menu is awesome. If you're into spicy food, I'd recommend the diced chicken with peppercorn and green bean noodles. To balance the heat, I also had the cold sesame noodles. The sauce is sweet, savory, and creamy. So good! The Shanghai pork buns (dumplings) and sliced pork belly with garlic were great also but I ordered too much food so I could barely get to them!

*Tips:
1. You have to mix the green bean noodles as all the seasoning is at the bottom.
2. Try the pork belly in the air fryer to crisp up the edges! Yum!

I remember the classic Little Chopsticks that used to reside here back in the '80s, and this current spot couldn't possibly be more different. This is relentlessly authentic Szechuan cuisine, but don't be intimidated by the menu if you're only familiar with Americanized Chinese food. The staff is helpful and can offer advice if you're stuck. As others have said, the wontons in red sesame oil are incredible, as is just about everything I've had there, although I thought the spicy glass noodles with pork were too "saucy". This is definitely a place for spice lovers and anyone looking to explore. Atmosphere is minimal and decor is dated, but you should be here for the food.

Family style meal with a group of six (that comfortably fit in one giant booth). Everything was delicious, I barely remember half of what we ordered because it was so sensorily pleasureable I was drunk on the food before I even took a bite. Even a seemingly plain dish like boo Choy and mushrooms was prepared and plated with the quality of fine dining. Best food I’ve had in ages. Definitely going to be a date spot.

Unassuming location but amazing Szechuan food. Our favorite dishes include Xiao Long Bao(Soup dumplings), Dan-Dan Noodles, Cumin Beef, Hot Pepper Chicken and their Hot & Sour Soup is easily the best I've ever had. You know when a chinese food place is good when there are chinese folks eating there, and there are some eating there every time we've dined in there.

We found this hidden gem just googling chinese restaurants in rhode island. We had never been there before, but decided to try it. It was the best decision of our lives. It's a family run restaurant and they know how to cook. We ended up there on the Chinese New Year without realizing, so they were really busy, but the food did not disappoint. Everything is fresh and they bring one dish at a time, and give you plenty of time to enjoy it, before bringing more. I could really see why the rest of the patrons had decided to come in large parties to celebrate their New Year there.

We will definitely go there again and probably make it one of our staples to go to. If you haven't tried this place, you must go at least once. The food is just out of this world.

Food was great, there timing is a bit off but the food was hot and delicious. We got Fried Tofu, Fried Lamb with Cumin, Pickled Veggies, and the Fried Rice.

Have taken out regularly from Chengdu, usually multiple dishes for a wide range of tastes. Food is always good and reasonably priced. Not overly fried or greasy like many similar places. Highly recommended
