Dr. MacKinnon and Cassie Padilla, our family cannot thank you enough for all you did for our family on the morning of December 28th. We woke up that morning to our worst nightmare, our oldest, almost 15 year old black lab couldn’t walk and was very sick. It came on so suddenly, it was a shock and I didn’t know what to do. I got ahold of you all and you were at my house within 30 minutes, before working hours. Dr. MacKinnon and Cassie came into our bedroom since that is where our fur baby was stuck. Dr. MacKinnon laid our baby’s head on her lap and stroked his muzzle ever so gently. It was the calmest I had seen him in over two hours. She did her exam and gave us her honest prognosis, we weighed pros and cons together. We made the hardest decision to put our baby to sleep. Dr. MacKinnon and Cassie allowed us the time we needed to say goodbye. As hard as that moment was I will be forever grateful for their time and love during one of the hardest days of my life. I cannot thank you enough!!!

On Nov. 13, 2023, we had to take our sweet boy Turner in to be put down. They were so wonderful and caring on this very difficult day. It was such a hard thing to do, we had our boy for 15 years and he was the best. The Vet and her staff treated him with respect and dignity.

New, first puppy and all the concerns and questions that come in with the package --- Echo Ridge has the expertise, patience, understanding I need. Helpful recommendations, efficient scheduled appointments and super "extras" like Puppy Play Parties for the partially-vaccinated, largely socially awkward pups. Full marks!!

I brought my elderly Norwegian Forest Cat, Tonka, into the hospital on an emergency basis the morning of June 5, 2023. A few weeks prior, he had suddenly lost some motor control of his hind legs. However, Tonka being Tonka, he did not let that slow him down. Over a couple of weeks, he had slowly been losing his appetite until about June 1st, Tonka had stopped eating. We tried everything to entice him to eat. We were quite worried and people from here to Norway were praying for him. On March 20, 2023, my beloved Fallon, Tonka's dad, at 17 years old suddenly died in my arms. Now, it looked as though I would lose Fallon's son. My heart couldn't take another catastrophic loss. On Monday morning, June 5, I brought Tonka to Dr. MacKinnon without being able to give her specific information about what could be Tonka's trouble. Looking for clues and answers, Dr. MacKinnon ran several tests, including an ultrasound, but all results were normal. The baffling part was that Tonka was asking for food, but refused it when offered. Dr. MacKinnon suggested an anti-nausea injection and an appetite stimulus. On Tuesday morning, I dutifully gave Tonka one of four pills and a topically applied appetite stimulus that Dr. MacKinnon had sent home. This morning, Tonka ate a small breakfast but that didn't feel like a small victory; no indeed. It felt like a major breakthrough! Tuesday evening (this evening) Tonka ate a hearty supper, which made us cry with relief, but that wasn't the best part. For more than a few days prior, Tonka was very inactive, disinterested in his housemates, refused food, his eyes were dull, and nothing could get this once happy-go-lucky boy to purr. Until this evening. A miracle happened here in Malo! Tonka was tapping my legs to say he was hungry, a habit he had abandoned several days earlier. His eyes were bright again, and he was !Animated! !Interested! And wanted to eat! He followed me around as I put dishes of food out, waiting for 'his' bowl. The best part? He was purring! Purring so hard he squeaked at the end of each purr! And he's trilling again! He rolled over for his belly rubs and when I brought out the vacuum, he laid down right in my path asking to be vacuumed. Yup, my cats all love to be vacuumed!
Dr. MacKinnon, Emma, and all staff that helped my wonderful Tonka that day:
You are miracle workers! Thank you! My wonderful, loving, mischievous, playful, happy-go-lucky boy is back! You took a shot in the dark with the anti-nausea and appetite stimulus. It was a well placed shot; your instincts were spot on! Thank you for bringing ForteFlora to my attention, Dr. MacKinnon. Fallon was getting it once a day for years. Why I didn't equate that over to Tonka for his 'drips', I don't know. Maybe a mental block because it was 'Fallon's'? I'm still deeply grieving him. Tonka received a dose this morning and tonight, he had noticeable improvement.
Most gratefully,
Annie and Tonka Davenport

Both the Vet and staff at Echo Ridge have been nothing but kind, welcoming, and compassionate. After a not-so-great experience with a different vet in the area for my senior age dog, I decided to look around and find a different vet. I found Echo Ridge while searching for a place to get a feral and stray "fixed". I was nervous bringing these cats in, they are definitely not the most friendly to strangers - the staff at Echo Ridge treated them with love and top quality care. I will absolutely bring ALL my current and future animals to this vet.
ALL interactions I have had with any staff member (both over the phone and in person) including the vet, have been nothing but positive and helpful - even with a parking lot full of cars. All my questions are answered, my concerns are discussed, and I am confident my animals are being treated with kindness and skill.
Thank you for being so awesome and being the BEST vet in the area!! I know all my animals are in good, capable hands!

Our older dog needed was having some medical issues and needed to be seen right away. Echo Ridge was able to fit him into their schedule, and they were very professional and efficient when it came to conducting his blood work, X-rays and ultrasound. His condition was beyond surgery, so we had to make the difficult decision to let him go peacefully. The staff was very compassionate and stayed with my dog and I until the very end. I highly recommend Echo Ridge and I plan on taking my pets there for their regular checkups. Thank you for everything!

This is the only vet I trust my animals at in this area. They have always been caring and kind towards my animals and answer any questions I ask. My family as a whole has completely switched to them. Even when it's time for your pet to cross the rainbow Bridge they are beyond empathic and caring. We've even had techs cry with us. And they think of the animal over the money. We had a 10yo overweight dog that another clinic insisted needed surgery to repair a torn tendon and tried to schedule it before we even made a decision about it. When we brought her here for a second opinion, Dr Mack told us that the surgery would be high risk and she wouldn't even put her own dog through it since there was a chance of the same thing happening to the other leg while recovering. Echo Ridge staff has always been amazing to my animals and my family as clients. I cannot imagine trusting my animals anywhere else.

This is THE BEST VET!!!! They truly LOVE animals and it shows!! My puppy got into some sleeping pills and we found her at 3 am chewing on the bottle. I literally panicked and called the emergency number. The owner was so kind and compassionate. She told me everything I needed to know and spent a good 30 minutes with me. She even remembered my Buttermilk after telling her who it was. Our pets are in great hands with them! We couldn't be more happy with them and their love for our pets. Amazing service!! Thank you so much Echo Ridge!! ❤❤

I took my friend to have her cat euthanized and we didn't have an appointment but they were amazing. They worked with us in so many ways. The doctor even came out to the car to talk to my friend. The technician was exceptional. Extremely polite and you could tell he cared. There was a little bit of a wait but it didn't really seem like it. It's never easy to lose a friend but I think they did a wonderful job of not adding extra stress to an already extremely stressful situation.

Always a good experience. We recently had to put our beloved old dog to sleep and they went the extra mile and then some. Same for our new puppy's well check. Couldn't recommend them more.

I’m from out of town and was just in visiting family. These guys were super friendly and got me an appointment ASAP for my dog. They seem fairly priced and actually cheaper than my vet at home. My dog was prescribed a medication and they offered to refill it if need be and I could fax the information to my vet back home. Definitely felt like I was treated like part of the family and not just someone stopping in. They are easily located and have a good amount of parking.

Have a sick dog and they were booked but they had us drop him off so they could examine him. He will stay there today and Dr will treat him. Just moved here from Ohio and grateful to find a vet who does this. Will be taking all of our rescues/4 legged family members here!

Every visit with the vet, vet technician, vet assistant has ben packed full of info, along with prescriptions of techniques and medications to fix our animals' problems. My questions are answered every time, with respect. My animals are always healthier afterward. Personal touch everytime.

I am so glad that this place was recommended to me for my precious pups. I have seen both doctors and both were very knowledgeable and caring. My babies are in excellent hands. I love that there is an emergency number for after hours. Great comfort to know they're a phone call away.
