River Market

I had such a great experience here. My girlfriend and I drove to see hawks nest and we just kept going. We were hungry so we stopped. We got delicious sandwiches from the deli counter and were greeted with warm smiles by a couple that must own the place. We paroused the isles of fresh baked goods and local jams as well as a fun collection of toys and trinkets that were entertaining to look at. We got some coffee for the road, but if we had more time we would have grabbed a table to drink our coffee there by the fireplace. Stop in and you will be glad that you did.

What a welcomed surprise! I stopped for a cup of coffee with my toddler and husband on our way for a family weekend, and wound up having a scone with my coffee, a few toys and snacks to keep my toddler happy, and my husband picked up some live bait! Had no idea this market was so awesome. And the food was good! And the coffee was perfect! Lovely setting. Lovely environment, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I've saved it on my GPS for the next time we head this way.

Such a lovely place, nice atmosphere. Old time country store, sat in the back, had a coffee, read the paper and used the wifi. Everyone was so nice!! Coffee was excellent! They were baking cinnamon buns in the morning and I was able to grab one, hot & tasty!! Will stop by again when I'm in town :-)

I liked this place neat clean staff is very professional and respectful, i got a sandwiches and soft drink and was very good, price was responsible.

I love the food, the display, the environment, owners are so friendly, staff is very professional, food is excellent, this is what shows what hard work is and how committed you are in owning a good restaurant that really cares for us the "guests". They have from jam to jars to books to food. I highly recommend it if you are traveling or live around the area, so cool to bring your friends and family over. My favorite during the summer is the buying steak, ice cream and beer!! Go River Market !!

I was on my way up to my kids visiting day at camp and stopped into the store. I was truly amazed - the staff was extremely friendly, the decor and displays were outstanding and clean, the selection was excellent, the food delicious and it was really busy. The sign of a fantastic and successful store. This will definitely be a place I visit again.

I stumbled upon the River Market while I was passing through town. Such a very quaint and clean country store. You can tell the owners really put all their efforts into keeping the staff and customers happy. This place had everything, great selection, amazing and friendly staff, free wi-fi and amazing coffee! Definitely recommend trying the River Mud blend. It gives Starbucks a run for their money. Everything was in tip top shape. On my first visit I couldn't find what I was looking for and asked a woman from the store if she could help me. It turned out she was the owner! She was an absolute delight. So friendly and kind and she even went out of her way to show me where to find what I was looking for. She even offered some great places to visit in the area as well in addition to places in NYC I should definitely visit during my stay. Not sure what the negative review was about below. You can please everyone I guess. If you are in the area, this is THE place to visit for a great cup of Joe, wi-fi and groceries.

You wouldn't expect to see such a great selection of different beers and groceries in a little town with only one other grocery store but this place was fabulous. Spent a long time just looking around at all of the unique but kind of high end foods and gifts. Will definitely detour via Barryville on our way to visit our daughter again.

Incredible little gem here in the woods of the NY/PA border! Super friendly staff that go above and beyond! The gentleman that helped me today, saved me from having to drive 30+ minutes into Milford for a single tomato! Will definitely be there more often to try out their deli selections and check out what all they have to offer!

Stayed at a campground in the area last weekend. The camp staff recommended this place, awesome choice! Store had free wifi which we couldn't find anywhere else, the owners let us use their landline to make a personal call to my family at the campground, (take note there is no AT&T cell service in the area at all). Got a few great hogies before heading down the river which came with free soda and chips, really nice touch. The subs were massive, nice place!

Cool little country store that basically had everything, toys, camp stuff -which we needed. Coffee to go was pretty awesome! The old timey feel was cool, we just kind of hung out for about an hour while it was raining, there was enough for us to browse. Got a decent sandwich to go, free pickle and a coke was a nice touch.

Friendly attitude. They aways carry super fresh food and have exactly what we need. Their sandwiches are simply amazing (Try the "Tipped Canoe Panini" Awesome) and they have the best cup of joe in town. I'll aways come back when I'm in the area.

I’m not from the area so I had a hard time finding a place to eat. Thank the lord I found this place. Amazing food, great service and a nice atmosphere. If you find yourself near here you have to stop in and grab something to eat. I had a #6 the Rafter. It was amazing to say the least and the potato salad was to die for.

This place is theeeeeeeee BEST! The food is so delicious -- you can immediately tell the products are fresh and high quality. The staff is amazing and they really go out of their way to help. Kudos to the management and the staff for making River Market the place to go in the area for great food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere :)

I have nothing but good and amazing things to say about this place and the owners. They had everything that we needed from food to supplies to camping gear. The owners are so super warm and lovely and welcoming. If you are in the area this place is an absolute and definite must.

Love this place. We stay in Eldred every year for our family vacation and the Market is always on our must visit list. So many treasures and cool things you can't find anywhere else.

Good vibes, lovely people and nice offerings. Excellent breakfast wrap and coffee, small town homey feel, highly recomend it.

I always stop in for their fresh muffins when I'm in town. Love them!

Had a large order for coffee and they were very accommodating and the service and prices were great

Loved all the sweets I bought today ill definitely be back before I head home
