Community: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. The Retreat at Church Ranch is a community in the fullest sense. The staff, caregivers and residents have created a lovely environment where everyone looks out for each other.
My dad moved here after a hospital stay and rehabilitation. It is a small welcoming environment where everyone cares for each other. The staff and caregivers are excellent at providing exceptionally compassionate assistance. Their patience and understanding are epic. The residents even help each other when they can. Everyone follows the Golden Rule "treat others the way you want to be treated yourself".
The property is well maintained and nicely decorated. There are numerous activities each day. The meals are appetizing.
This is the right place for my dad to enjoy his final years.

I have gone to the Retreat at Church Ranch for many years as a Nurse who visited their facility. I am so very impressed with the care of the residents that live there. They are very interested and involved with the health, safety and happiness of all their residents. They have a wonderful staff that are caring and dedicated. They have excellent management in place that are knowledgeable and strive for excellence. I was so impressed that I recommended several of my patients move into the facility when they needed increased care. I would highly recommend them for consideration for assisted living placement.

The staff at The Retreat at Church Ranch were an incredible source of support throughout my father’s stay with them. They showed him compassion and caring that made me feel he was in excellent hands when he needed it the most. We were lucky to have them!

I'm truly impressed with The Retreat at Church Ranch. I'm not writing this as a resident or as a family member of a resident. I write this as a primary medical provider who's been in a number of senior living facilities. To start with, when you enter the building, it's bright and lively feeling. Everything about the place feels warm and inviting, from the furniture and the wall art, to the inspirational pictures that adorn the walls. I spoke with a couple residents there and they both attested what I already felt, which is the staff truly cares about the residents here. The Retreat at Church Ranch is not a place to go and die, but a place to go and "live out" your final years. It feels like no other senior living facility I've ever been in. I hope this place or another like it is around when it's my time.

I have known the owners of the Retreat at Church Ranch for many years and have watched them design, build and operate wonderful, assisted living communities. The Retreat is their best! Its recent renovation complements its high-quality care and now ranks among the very best! I visited them yesterday and participated in their holiday’s employee party. I do believe it’s the finest team they’ve ever assembled. I highly recommend them to everyone who needs a family member to be taken care of with competency, heart, and great activities and meals!

As a therapeutic musician who has worked in the field of geriatrics since 1999, I can say with great confidence, that Retreat at Church Ranch is a very special place where your elder family will not only be well cared for in every way, but treasured. I had the privilege of serving the community at Retreat with therapeutic music for those residents who may not get out of their room as often as they’d like, and serve them with individualized music at the bedside. This is a very unique and special alternative/complementary service that not all retirement communities open their minds and hearts to, but Robin and Cindy do. The staff are warm, the residents are happy, the building inside and out is welcoming, and the overall vibe in the building is extremely positive, which is palpable the minute you walk in the door. In all the retirement communities I have worked in between Maine, California, & Colorado where I’ve practiced, Retreat at Church Ranch is one of the best.

My mother has been living at the Retreat for over 3 years. Her quality of life has improved a lot. The staff is positive and very caring for the residents. My mother loves the meals they create. Her health has improved greatly. She enjoys the activities they do each week.
The staff is very diligent to keeping the residents safe and protected from COVID.

My mother lived at The Retreat for seven years. A friend told me what great care her grandmother received there. We are so happy we found such a lovely place for her to live. The staff and residents were so kind and caring right up to her last minute of her life. They became her family and mine also. I cannot express how much love and care she received from everyone. The staff, management, food service are the best. THEY ARE TRULY SPECIAL! Mom stayed with them for four years and never voiced a negative
comment. First thing I noticed was their wide variety of activities to engage their clients minds. Mom asked often, "How did you find this place?"
Their care and cleanliness is exceptional, you are treated like family. They are always striving to improve the comfort of their seniors.

We never dreamed we'd find a home where Mom could be so happy and contented...friendly residents, engaging activities, loving and compassionate caregivers, an atmosphere that really feels like home, and such personalized attention and care...the Retreat is a hidden treasure - a sanctuary for our whole family. Mom found a real home at the Retreat when she could no longer manage on her own. As new health challenges arose, the incredible staff and management always went the extra mile to help her (and us!) get through it. We never had to worry knowing Mom was in such good hands. We'll never be able to fully express how grateful we are for having discovered this absolutely precious place and for the love they lavished on our Mom. Thank you Cindy and Suzie and everyone at the Retreat! You guys are simply the best!

Now that my friend has settled into his new home at The Retreat, I’d like to share the comments he’s made over this past month:
~ First and foremost, the people are so friendly here. They take care of my needs and are very respectful. I like the way they treat me.
~ They clean my room!
~ There’s always fresh coffee with the best choice of flavored creamers.
~ The food is good! I’m glad that I have the choice of whether I want to eat in the dining room or have it delivered to my room. On the rare days I don’t care for the meal, I can always order something else.
So when I asked my friend if he liked his new home, he replied “I love it here!“

The Retreat At Church Ranch is full of kind residents and the most wonderful staff. The staff care so deeply about each individual resident and their families, and you can really feel that love and care. They think of all the details too, from entertaining live music (in non-pandemic days) to a beautiful outdoor garden that I absolutely LOVE taking a stroll through.

My wife and I were talking about possibly moving our grandmother to another facility, and we love Retreat at Church Ranch. Unfortunately, we were unable to move her here due to her requiring a high level of care; however, we were so impressed with this place. The minute you walk into the facility you feel a sense of peace. The owners (who are very friendly and present in the care of their residents) have created an environment that is loving, welcoming, and feels more like home than a facility. Their staff are smiling, appear happy, and seem to genuinely care for their residents. This is a beautiful place, and I would put any of my loved ones here.

My wife's family was searching for care facility options for their elderly mother, and were getting no helpful information or assistance. I shared their frustrations with the owners of the Retreat at Church Ranch and quickly learned that the other facilities were not providing clear, concise, and critical information to the family.

The family consulted with the Director for The Retreat and gained more insight in an hour than from the previous weeks of futile research. They found a great apartment for their mother, and found significant relief in knowing she had immediate access to skilled 24-hour care.

The Retreat at Church Ranch has an ambience that I did not expect - wide halls, light and open feel, an intimate staff and a resident population that's a bit "Goldilocks" - not too big; not too small - just right.

I moved my Mom in here about 5 years ago and couldn't be happier. They have taken great care of her. The facility is pretty small, which appealed to us and very comfortable. The price covers everything, so that's a plus and compared to other places we looked at, its totally worth it. The caregivers and staff are friendly and genuinely seem to like what they do and my mother has been happy there, which was not a given. She can be pretty difficult at times, but they are patient and loving and make it work. I would, without reservation, recommend the Retreat to anyone. If you are shopping around, go for a visit and see for yourself. As far as Covid goes, they've been amazing keeping everyone safe and still feel connected. Really an A+ establishment.

How could we have known we were finding angels on earth when we found The Retreat at Church Ranch 4 years ago. What a blessing they have been. Not only do they provide wonderful food, fun activities, and a friendly atmosphere, but they sincerely love and care for each and every resident! The respect they showed my mom near the end we will never forget! You have an outstanding staff that goes above and beyond their call of duty each and every day!

It has been my pleasure to work at The Retreat at Church Ranch and for Cindy Avery for the past 16 years. Though I am stepping away, I could not do so if I didn’t know the heart of the staff there. I saw as a co-worker as well as a customer, my mom and dad both lived there, the quality of every staff member there. These are the finest people I have ever known. Truly angels who walk earth.

As a long time gerontologist and (retired) Vice President Academic Affairs with AARP, I became a professional acquaintance of the owners of The Retreat at Church Ranch. Their Care Model came to my attention professionally and I visited their lovely community on a number of occasions to see for myself what was going on there. What I found was a heartfelt and authentic orientation to the health and happiness of the residents and staff that created an uplifted, happy and positive aging experience. Their Care and Concern reports led to greatly reduced hospitalizations by catching illnesses early and preventing serious decline. The Retreat's coordination and working relationships with the larger community of medical care providers are a shining example of coordinated care. Quite simply, it's one of the best models of care I've seen in the United States.

Great place for my parents in the final years of their lives. Very clean facility and good food. The owners are great people. I'd recommend this facility to anyone interested in moving in or placing a loved one.
