15 Lakes Butcher

This butcher shop is the real deal! High quality meats at very reasonable prices. They have a huge selection of sausages and bratwurst. Great marbling on his steaks and even his pork cuts. I've never seen pork look so fresh and good. I'm not even a pork guy and I was blown away at how good it looked.

The owner really knows his stuff and stands behind his products. He greeted my wife and I as soon as we entered his shop. We just stopped in to grab some bratwurst as we were heading back into the city. He was happy to show us his sausage freezer stocked with over a dozen types of sausages and ground meat. He boasted about the quality and heritage of the different meats he offered. I was shocked that he even carried bone marrow!

Don't be fooled by the surroundings of where the shop is located. This is a top tier, high quality butcher. The inside of the shop was clean, elegant and sophisticated. I take my meat selection very seriously and this butcher checked all my boxes and a few I didn't know I had. They are a decent drive from where I live but next time I'm looking to cook some meats to impress my guests, this is the butcher I will be stopping at.

Added note: I'm really looking forward to the steakhouse restaurant that they'll be opening soon.

Love going here as staff are super helpful, informative, and friendly. The quality is definitely a lot better than box stores or other places you can buy meat. Highly recommend to anyone looking for good cuts of steaks, burgers, and other options. Every thing we've gotten here has been fantastic.

Speechless....super clean and welcoming atmosphere. Best steak my family ever ate. They said to call middle week to see if they have available items so they can have it ready for you for the weekend, so call ahead if you want something specific. Excellent experience!!!!

Awesome service and quality.
I suggest trying some of the house made hot sauces, the 3 I have had so far have been amazing!
It goes without saying, all their meat is delicious too.
Support local small business, and do yourself a favor… try them out!

Stopped in when they first opened and was very happy with the quality of meat. I've been going ever since because the quality and cuts they offer are far better than anywhere else. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have so many different cuts of meat that are hard to find anywhere else. This is my go to place for any kind of meat now.

man, must have driven by this place numerous times but never really noticed it. was looking for some ribeye last night and the missus mentioned this place. as others posted, a bit more expensive than the local grocery marts but the quality is superlative. picked up a couple ribeyes and a small filet, grilled them up. perfect.

Sam behind the counter most helpful. will definitely make this THE stop for protein products!

OMG came down from Racine to get exotic meat and wanted to hit a butcher shop... I will be driving down from Racine regularly. That steak was amazing!! On MY new flat top ❤ I can't wait to go back for more delicious 🍖 meat!! They guys were so friendly! Go there!

Awesome customer service. These dudes are knowledgeable and friendly, plus the meat is high quality. They have all sorts of delicious brats and sausages as well. We love this place, keep up the good work!

The best meat in the area that I've ever eaten. Everybody there is very nice every time. I ask for something they can get it or find it. I deeply appreciate what they do for the community

I went on reviews alone, and it turns out it's worth every penny. Expensive, compared to your local supermarket, but the quality is something of legend. I asked for the best and was given it, hard to argue with experts let alone my own tongue.

I turned around and stopped in on a wimb when I saw they were open. My neighbor has said many great things about the place. The gent at the counter was super kind, helpful and informative about what they do. I have no doubt it'll be good.

Further review a day later: I got the Hot Italian sausage. I started cooking it up and slicing it for dinner tonight. .....Wow! The spice blend is perfect.

I typically don't give reviews. But this is a worthwhile place to check out.

Amazing steaks! Our family was in from out of town and we stumbled upon this butcher shop. We are so thankful we did. The variety of steaks we ordered were fantastic and the customer service was even better. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to end our family trip with a delicious meal!

Their bone in pork chops are the best I’ve had so far. Definitely have to cook them like they suggest! Oh…. And they are more than happy to give their knowledge and suggestions. 45 day aged burgers are unbelievable. Ribs are phenomenal and the brats were a hit for everybody! They recently got a new Denver steak in and the flavor of this steak is to die for. My only gripe would be that I would like them to stay open until like 7 😂

My wife needed to get beef shanks for a holiday meal and we looked all over. We finally tried 15 Lakes (because it was literally right up the street from us) and found them! The butcher was very knowledgable and generous. He explained where the meat came from and how it was locally sourced and grass fed here in IL. We spent a pretty penny, but well worth it for quality products. Can't wait to come back and see what's new next time! Thanks guys (We didn't get their names)

Oh! And they make their own beef jerky that is just unbelievably good. You gotta go and try some!

Stopped there for the first time today. Great meat. Excellent homemade jerky. Great service and very knowledgeable. Even has dry aged steaks. I'm impressed.
