Michelle, one of the owners came to our table and explained that all orders are freshly made, authentic Mexican dishes. The rice and beans are vegetarian too.

So while you wait for your food, there is chips and salsa or add some freshly made guacamole and one of their awesome margaritas or your beverage of choice and relax!

I ordered the chicken Chimichanga, which came with rice and beans, my friend ordered, the Tacos Ahogados, with just the rice. Both dishes were delicious.
Our waitress Taya, was pleasant and accommodating.

My first time trying casa ruiz. The food is fantastic! The portions are big.the burrito was huge We had the bistec a la Mexicana and steak burrito. The quality of the meat is awesome. No chewy grissle. The meat is soft and very tasty. My wife and i found our new favorite spot. Next time we will dine in.

Amazing Service and Food ! We had the most amazing waitress Nancy 💜💫💫 thank you for such great service! Highly recommend this hidden gem right in the heart of Antioch. Their home made sauce is delicious, with just the right amount of picante and flavor.

Authentic. Delicious. We will be back. Simple setting, everything made from scratch, I heard them blend the margarita fresh, which it great (but will take more time as others mentioned). This isn't your "2 mins and food is on your table" type Mexican. They are way more chill! It's delicious and the corn tortillas are made really well!

Wife stated "best taco salad I've ever had". So that's positive. She got the chicken and highly recommend, well flavored.

Came here on a Friday night, got sat down immediately, the service was great, the waiters were friendly and gave recommendations. Food came fast! I ordered a burrito and it was delicious! Definitely coming back, one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. I don’t usually write reviews but I had to give this 5 stars!

Love! Love! Love! Casa Ruiz. Being a resident from aurora driving up north was worth the drive for their tacos. Definitely the best in town! Overall I’m fascinated by how homemade their menu is, the Mexican culture represented in their interior design and the family friendly environment. I recommend this place 100% if you’re ever around Antioch or what the heck…. Just find your way there! 😋

Overall enjoyable. Highlights: I suggest the handmade sopes and handmade tostadas. These are delicious, flavorful and well done. I ordered chicken as the meat, the toppings were perfect and I was happy with my order. My daughter ordered the steak tacos and she found a lot of fat on the steak. The tortillas were store bought corn tortillas. However the chips and salsa were also a highlight. Salsa is homemade traditional (not pico) very flavorful and not spicy. Chips were homemade as well. First order is complimentary and second order is $2.00, worth it.

Amazing food!! I had the chimichanga and my daughter had the steak tacos. Very good and came out pretty fast. Made fresh on the spot when you order. Met the owner Michelle and she has a great personality. As a Realtor I understand running a business and this is a small business in my hometown Antioch that everyone should come in and support.

What a find! Much better than the vault! A little slow on service, but the fresh food is worth the wait! They just opened, so give then a break to find their groove. Their soupe was incredible! Highly recommend!

Michelle and John Michael have created an amazing food experience. Their recipes are their own. It truly is a treat for your tastebuds. Their house margaritas are so yummy if you’re wanting a libation. I love the homemade salsa and guacamole. The salsa is served slightly warm and it’s filled with just the right amount of spice! Enjoy and tell them Danielle says, “Hello”.

Was driving by this place this afternoon to get fuel for my vehicle, was intrigued.

After getting fuel, decided to stop in for a late lunch....so glad I did.

Was seated promptly and was served fresh chips & salsa, server was very nice and helpful explaining a few menu items to me.

Very impressed with this place, love how clean it is, nicely decorated and the colors.

Will definitely come back, prices are pretty decent too for some delicious 😋 authentic Mexican Food.

Fantastic chips, great salsa and they knocked the Picadillo taco out of the park (that rarely happens for me) We liked the atmosphere and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive.
I’m thinking we will make this a regular place.

Great authentic food. Guacamole was superb with large chunks of avocado. I had the chicken and steak tacos. They were seasoned to perfection. Service was exceptional, especially with the extra help getting my eldery mom in the restaurant. It was appreciated.

Best Mexican food in town, hands down!! The owner Michelle is such an amazing person, very knowledgeable about food and ingredients. She takes care of all her patrons, and always personally makes sure they're having a good experience. Their guacamole is amazing, a must try! Also their horchata! Also tacos ahogados!! Love this place! The owner is so kind and loves what she does. Glad to have tried something new and loved the food. I had the Mole and it was amazing! My favorite part was the guacamole. We thought it was weird to have warm salsa but it was so delicious and Michelle explained why it was warm! Will definitely be back!

By far the best Mexican Restaurant we have been to! The food was amazing, had tons of flavor and huge portions. Service is equally as amazing. The waitress took the time to have a actual conversation with us and gave us a few places to check out since we are new to the area. This will be our go to restaurant for dinner from now on and I can't wait to go back!
