I have lived in Harleysville for 19 years and have always found the staff very pleasant ( especially Cindy) .
Sometimes there are lines, but due to cutbacks it’s expected . There has been “fill in “ staff occasionally and maybe not as experienced. Cannot believe some of these nasty comments !!!!

I have never had a bad experience with this post office. Always gets my packages there on time and even helped ship packages internationally for my business. I highly recommend

Rude counter help.

Updated 5/3/2017...Carrier actually folded up a cardboard mailing package (damaging its contents) so as to jam it into the mailbox when there were large package bins open and available.

Cindy, the woman working the counter, was absolutely rude and disrespectful. Not to me, but to a male senior citizen and veteran of this country. It took all of me not to cause a scene. The people in line took notice. I've lived in the town a long time and grew up knowing to respect people, especially elders. I believe they've earned it. I worked in customer service my whole life, when a customer needs help, you go help....you do NOT point, especially when the gentlemen was wearing hearing aids and clearly couldn't understand what envelope you were pointing to.

Today I was refused service because I didn’t choose to put my return address on a package (for privacy) that I was sending for an online sale. The woman with brown hair and glasses was extremely RUDE and refused to send my package. I asked her twice.

I went to another US post office and wasn’t even questioned. It is recommended but not required!

The mail carrier picked up my mail from my mailbox, delivered all my mail except the package that was on the truck. They coded it "no access to delivery location". Except, you DID access and deliver the rest of my mail. So, there's that. THEN, I was promised it would be out for delivery the next delivery date (today). NO mail at all. Call customer service, only to be told that it doesn't even show its out for delivery, it's at the Harleysville post office and they don't know why. I just want my package. If they forgot it the first day and didn't feel like looping back around, don't lie about why you didn't deliver the small package. Just deliver it as promised the next business day, today. Nope. Now, you are "looking into" the matter. I asked if the package can just be held at the post office and I'll get it myself, was told by customer service they will put a request in, hopefully it will work. This isn't the first time my packages have gone missing. And it isn't the vendor. It's USPS Harelysville.

This facility is a perfect example of why the govt should ditch the postal service and let it be run by a private entity. Staff is rude and slow. Only one register open on a Saturday which is the only time that many people can get there. Stood in line for 20 minutes just to mail a small package. Lady at the counter didn't seem to care that she was moving so slow. Don't even get me started about the mail delivery - I love when my neighbors stop by with my mail; its always fun to exchange electric bills, 401k statements, magazines, and all the other things that get misdelivered.

This is the most unhelpful post office in history. The lady in the counter was rude and treated me like I did not exist. I needed help sending a package and was told to fill out a customs sheet. Filled the customs sheet and went back in line. Then the lady tells me that the customs sheet, the to address and my address All gotta fit on one side.
That is when I just had to walk out. Do not send packages from this post office. Go to Kulpsville post office instead.

I am not one to write reviews but I just had to share my disbelief and disgust over the incompetency and disregard of the majority of the individuals I have dealt with at this post office. Top three issues: I was told that absolutey no mail for me had gone through that post office, this was later proven to be a lie when I later went there and picked up the mail they had for me. I was told that there was no sort of database containing which clusterbox number corresponds with which street address and I would have to call another day to speak to the mail person on the route of my new house because that is the ONLY person who would have that information. I paid $30 for the lock of my mailbox to be changed because the seller of my house neglected to forward the keys to me and the person who changed the lock taped the keys to the door of a house on a completely different street! I am interested to find out if they are capable of even managing to deliver the correct mail to me...we will see!

When Al helps me at this location, he is extremely helpful and nice.

Whoever is the short haired and glasses wearing attendant/supervisor is EXTREMELY short and rude when I've had to interact with her and does a disservice to the USPS name.

Horrible experiences for many years here. The folks at the counter couldn’t be ruder if they tried and worst of all, packages that arrive in the facility to be delivered to me (around the corner) inevitably end up being sent to a different postal office in the city or even further away! How can service this horrific continue without government intervention?!
