Amato's Woodfired Pizza

After a day of Train Watching, my son and I stopped by for dinner. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff delightful, the food was indescribable. Our server, Roxanne, was the perfect mix of attentive and informative. The Bruschetta was excellent, followed closely by the pizza. Sadly, I'm not a beer person since they have a microbrewery on site as well. Will definitely revisit next trip. ( I did have to sneak a dessert though which was just as good)

First time here. Our waiter was fun, friendly, and made great suggestions. We only had to wait around on him when we were waiting for the check. This place was hopping with all ages, from high schoolers having their prom dinner, to elderly. We saw no children there whatsoever and no high chairs. It definitely feels like this is THE downtown place where people flock to when they come to Marion!

There was an outdoor eating area with a man playing acoustic guitar with songs by Stephen Bishop, America, Bread. It was just lovely.

No booths. Regular tables and chairs, "high" table (not bar height but counter height) up against the windows. A birthday party was going on in the private room.

At about the halfway mark of the restaurant, there is a bar 🍸 and on the right is the door where you will be seated outside.

**If you wish to eat outside, go into the restaurant, NOT outside, and let them know you want an outdoor table. The courtyard seating is lighted and has a beautiful walkway and plants. I watched an employee plant strawberries into 3 stacked milk crates and I bet they will be just beautiful in bloom.

When you order pizza you have your choice of sauce: Marinara, Pesto, or Olive Oil.

I ordered a drink and it had a heck of a lot of alcohol in it--actually, too much.

We also got a charcuterie board and the board was a cute State of Ohio cutout. There were little breads, 3 meats, honey comb and spiced mustard as well as cheese and garlic dill gerkins.

We each ordered a pizza but our mouths watered when we saw the size of the meat portions of dinners as well as the humongous garlic bread.

This is one of our new favorite places to go when it's just the 2 of us. I highly recommend!

The wood fired pizzas were outstanding, and the food was out to our table quickly! Huge selection of toppings and a large menu filled with pastas and sandwiches too. Our server was fantastic, he was friendly and knowledgeable, and kept our drinks full! All the other employees who we interacted with were also very friendly. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and there is a nice patio that would be great in warmer weather (we visited in January). We will definitely be back - and have already recommended it to friends!

Just had the most amazing meal at Amato’s in Marion. The server was friendly, the pizza was incredible and the atmosphere was perfect. My only issue is the chairs. I found myself sliding off of mine through the whole meal. Just a bit frustrating. Otherwise, it was perfection.

This is a gem. Clean, great location. The parking is just around the corner. We were greeted and seated quickly. Fabulous service and excellent fresh tasty food.

This location offers a large space to host large gatherings for FREE! We threw my mom a suprise bday party and all of the staff were amazing and went above and beyond. The food was fantastic and service was amazing (shout out to Roxanne who was the BEST!) I can’t recommend this place enough. If you have a large gathering I highly recommend reaching out to them, they’re quick to respond and go out of their way to help you!

Wide variety of creative wood fired pizzas. Love having one of their signature cocktails on the patio in the summer. Great Pesto bread and the staff is always nice and attentive.

Very good food and service. Went for lunch and had small pizza. Was hot and fresh when arriving at table. Looks like there are a lot of future menu options to try and the craft beers look very interesting today the least.

Fantastic experience! We were one of several large parties after a dance recital. It was Memorial day weekend...and I don't think they expected everyone to stay in town to eat. They handled it like Champs! The server was incredible he got support for 2 others to handle the groups. The food came out timly and was unbelievably delicious. Our kids loved it! Meatball sub and spaghetti for them. The apps and entries were great. I highly recommend the Hulk pizza. Top ratings to all of them!!

Such a treasure in downtown Marion. Great pizza, great beer, amazing atmosphere, great for kids, great for big parties perfect location for meeting friends and colleagues.

Great atmosphere food was on point. Delicious!

Amatos rarely disappoints! Pizza, pasta and apps are all great. None of us has ever had the sandwiches, so we can't speak to them. Our server was excellent and attentive.

Always a pleasure when we dine at Amato's in Marion, Ohio.
I tried the Lobster Ravioli this time, it was amazing.
I've never regretted my choice when dining here, I think I'm half way through the menu by now and I have enjoyed everything I've eaten.

Appetizers were wonderful, and so was the pizza!!! The drink selection wasn't my #1 pick. The stuff I would like was sold out. Waitress said it was the most popular so may just have to carry more! All in all, we'll definitely go back!

First time trying this place and it was excellent! Very clean and classy - wonderful atmosphere. Plenty of seating and nice bar area as well. Was disappointed to see so many comments here about thin or burnt pizza because it’s literally in the title - WOODFIRED pizza. It’s unique compared to a regular Pizza Hut pizza but it is SO much better. Appetizers and pizza with 2 regular drinks cost us 32$ so also not outrageously priced. Absolutely will go back!

The food was amazing! We had pizzas and appetizers..all the ingredients were so fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. Our 5yr old grandson had the best time and he LOVED his pizza. Highly recommend.

Amato's was fantastic! The wood fired flavor was subtle and pleasant. The crust had the perfect bite and was not over sauced. The service was superb and attentive without lurking. I will have a pizza here every time I visit Marion!
