Walmart Photo Center

Walmart is not synonymous with the term customer service or excellence but the Walmart Supercenter in Dawsonville has to rank in the worst of the worst even for Walmart.

I typically get my photo prints printed at Walgreens but did not want to drive the distance today to have something ordered. Against better judgment, I went to the local Walmart and used their Fuji Film Kiosk to place my order. The Kiosk is actually user-friendly and offers a great way to order and transfer images from a device with their available app. The difficulty came when it told me to take my ticket to a staff member to complete my order. Ha ha, although the sign says the photo center is open 9 am until 9 pm it was not staffed at least for the 40 minutes I was in the store trying to get help.

I tried to ask other employees for help and the reply was all an: "I don't know anything about that" and despite multiple people trying to get assistance in the Photo Center, it remained un-staffed. A trip to the service desk only found yet more staff who don't know anything but did relate that they get lots of complaints.

Maybe a member of management can remedy the issue? No, even calling the store standing at the Photo Center results in calls being transferred to a line that goes unanswered. Calling the Walmart 800 number for customer service is not a solution either.

It is amazing that an entire store full of people and nobody knows anything. But, it is Walmart and that seems to be the status quo with them.
