Haven Beach

Beautiful place to relax. There is one portapot and no running water. Plenty of trash cans. Parking spots for about 15 cars. I went on weekends during the fall and had plenty of parking. Beach had a few people spread out very distantly. Nice place to get away for a day.

Visited this beach with my boyfriend and kids while on vacation! It was so pretty and had some cool shells and rocks. I don't "do" water shoes typically. I have now ordered a pair because the bottoms of my feet are so cut up from the water. So be very mindful of that and wear sandals or water shoes when walking in the water! Also the beach had a lot of broken glass on it so I'd keep shoes on at all times or just be very careful. It is easy to get to and there weren't a lot of people there. I would definitely go again but just wanted to leave a review to let others know to be careful!

Welcome to the most haunted beach in the USA. There have been many unexplained phenomena dating back centuries including several sightings of the "woman in white". I took several photos and noticed a strange aura/distortion.... Who knows?!

I feel guilty leaving 5 stars because it seems like such a hidden gem, and it was my first time there. Be prepared to find another place as parking is limited and it's not a giant beach.

Beautiful public beach. Very quiet, not very busy.

Lovely quiet beach that is great for crowd free relaxing & walking. Suggest you wear beach shoes as plenty of rocks in the sea & some glass on beach.

Pretty place with no public nuisance! Love coming here with friends. Please be careful of glass and a few horse flies here and there but besides that best beach besides the Eastern Shore in my opinion! Enjoy and be safe! :)

My favorite beach to go to. Kinda hard to find if you dont know where you are going- not many signs to point you in the right direction. That's probably why there are very few other beachgoers all the times I've been. Also, there is a porta potty on site. Very nice clean beach and great if you're trying to avoid the crowds.

Cool place to hang out, fish, or swim in the water. The sand is fairly nice and it looks like it is mostly good sand in the water where you would swim. I would still probably bring water shoes in case of any rocks.

Need new bathroom or additional bathroom "port a potty" also needs a lock on it aside from that its always amazing experience when we go. Very zen thank you Mathews county for your hoapitality wether we are in town or the bay area you all are always appreciated😊

Very beautiful and peaceful at night. I heard that it's haunted.. me and my Lil brother was looking for a supposed Ghost Ship?

Love exploring this beach. Look for the Ghost ship or you might catch skeletons looking for treasures! Arrgggg

Nice place to take your family and friends for a nice calming ocean-like experience. A nice place for solitude as you smell the salt water.

Haven Beach is a gem. Its secluded, unpopulated, pretty, and well kept. I'm glad it's there.

We go often, Great place. If you're looking for VA Beach it's not here.

It was horrible, don't go there because we want the beach all to ourselves and we're obnoxious people that wear ugly bathing suits.
