Boarding House Books

This place is so cute. They have a variety of books, new and used available. The atmosphere is great. It actually IS in an old boarding house. Much of the book options are up a flight of stairs, so this will be hard if you are handicapped. There is very helpful staff at this location that I am sure will be happy to help you. Also, if they don't have a title in stock, they will order it for you. They will also pre-order books for you before they are released. This place feels special. I like it.

My husband and I absolutely love this store. They have a great selection of books and authors. If they don’t have it, they will try to order it for u. You pick up when they get it in. Staff is very personable and very informed of what they have and where it is!! We love the old bookstore feel. Idk about u, but I like a book in my hand. Not an iPhone!!

I love to come into this store, the creaky old staircase is one of my favorite parts... the tons of books are just bonuses. ;)

What a magical place! The selection of books, and knowledgeable staff at Boarding House Books of Claremore OK are truly a treasure to our community! I love perusing the isles and the many upstairs rooms full of such an amazing variety of books. The owner Janice Whittaker is often on premises and quick to aid anyone looking, or just new to the store. They also sell new books, and can order any books you want that they might not have in stock. I will definately recommend them to anyone looking for an enjoyable, in person, local, book buying experience.

It was huge and really awesome to step into a 100 year old boarding house. The selection of books is amazing. And the staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend I'd you are in the Claremore Oklahoma area!

My kids and I LOVE this book store! The staff has always been so helpful and friendly and the selection of books.....OH MY!!!! There are plenty of books in each genre that all 3 of my kiddos are able to find something that peaks their interest! I highly recommend this book store to everyone!

A must stop when coming through downtown!! My wife and I discovered a hidden gem from her families hometown. We really enjoy the atmosphere of the upstairs and always find something to leave with.

Great place with a surprisingly impressive selection. I love browsing here, but they are also very handy when looking for a specific book. Don't forget to check their website that features an inventory search feature! Keep up the good work guys!

This is a fantastic locally owned bookstore. They have everything you can imagine from the newest author releases to used books for all ages. Great atmosphere in a cozy historic building.

So historical I loved it! It felt like I was gonna be walking into Narnia. Excellent bookstore I highly recommend you stop here for your book needs. Will be returning with my family.

Great spot for new AND used books. Place is SUPER organized. Staff is helpful. I live in Tulsa, but have no reservations about the drive to Claremore to shop. Love it.

Great selection and friendly service. They take the time to help you find the books you want. Be prepared to spend a while browsing. Each room contains one or more genres and multiple cases of books.

They can special order books for you. They host monthly book club with a nice variety of titles. The book selection is awesome, both new and used. Friendly people and a neat old building.
