One of the best, easier peaks to reach with great views in the White Mountains. Shortest is the Mt Pemi trail (3.5mi & 1250ft), but I prefer a loop that includes the Indian Head trail and a snowmobile trail back to the start (4.6mi & 1,500ft). I have a writeup with maps at Trailspotting.com.

Great hike for our group. Some technical locations for newer hikers but we came just after heavy rains so that may not always be the case. You get a good view at the top and there's nice flat boulders you can relax on before your hike down.

This was a strenuous trail.  Essentially it was 1200 feet elevation increase in 1.5 miles which is steep incline.  It's lots of large stepping on rocks and tree roots.  A hiking stick is definitely recommended.  Overall it was nice though that it is pretty much straight up once you get to the real part of the trail.  I say that's nice because some trails have 200 feet elevation change in the end but it was accomplished through 700 feet of up and down throughout, at least here you know what you are getting into.  On a clear day the views are absolutely astounding.  It feels like a great accomplishment with a great payoff.  The trail is well marked the whole way through.  A tip for starting the trail is take exit 34A of the highway I-93 and park in the Flume Gorge parking lot but park near the bus parking (off to the north or left) since that is where the trail begins.   It took us like 3 hours to do the trip and coming back was much quicker than going up.

Very convenient from Lincoln - Woodstock area. Relatively easy hike for decent views. I hike it regularly for some quick exercise (approx 2 hours round-trip). Good for dogs too :)

Great hike near Lincoln. Was able to do in a few hours including a nice break at the summit. Great to do on the way back from Loon or surrounding area in the summer.

That's a great hike-it's suitable for a range of abilities with it's many switchbacks, but there are quite a few step inclines that may prove more challenging for some. Of course a great view.

We went in early April and had snowshoes, as far as I'm concerned they are NEEDED the snow was really deep. The view from the top is outstanding! (Bring a snack)

Easy hike with a great reward. Go early and avoid the crowds. Bring breakfast and eat on the summit overlooking Lincoln.
