Vincent has been kind and friendly while helping us with all of our postal needs for years, and we love having such a cute and cozy post office that we can walk to.

Vincent has always given me and my Mother great service. My favorite post office! Being a polite and patient customer is well worth the effort.

This sweet little post office is taken care of by one man who is genuine and helpful. I’m glad we have a little post office in Shell Beach for charm and convenience.

Quaint cute old tiny old town PO.

Mediocre service. Although I was the only customer, employee was impatient and indifferent. Mocked my one question. (I love my Burbank post office & the USPS in general - this location is a lemon).

THIS PLACE IS FILTHY! Although Vincent may be kind to those he knows, he is not kind to all! This place needs a sweep and a mop. Are you kidding me?? Disgusting!

Wish I could give this place zero stars. Don't waste your money. The office closes at 1pm so if you work normal hours, forget trying to pick up any packages. Speaking of packages, this post office does not accept UPS, so if you online shop. You'll be driving all the way to Santa Maria to pick up your stuff. The main guy working there puts mail in late on the regular, and has no answer when you ask what's going on. Just pick a different post office. Trust me.

My husband and I both have given this location multiple tries. The gentleman that works there is an absolute displeasure. Every single time he is rude, disrespectful and appears to be unwilling to be civil or helpful in any way. While I understand he cannot be at the counter all the time, he has no way of you politely letting him know you are there and need services outside of a PO box stop. I would rather drive into Pismo and go to the main location and they are barely better. You would think in this very small location the job would be pretty good. I never encounter our residents being anywhere near his level of rude.

USPS Tracking® is the only USPS mechanism that provides end-to-end item tracking and is automatically included with all USPS domestic shipping products – except commercial Standard Mail parcels. For Standard Mail parcels, the tracking feature can be added as an Extra Service, for an additional fee. USPS Tracking® does not expedite or guarantee delivery.

Thanks for the Alert, I will ask for this prior to mailing. The reluctant attitude towards good service at the Shell Beach Post office is well known. I only use when I am not leaving town, otherwise, I too avoid this office. Hoping enough honest reviews, catches the eye of a training supervisor.

This guy takes FOREVER to appear from “the back” after making my presence known. Totally unhelpful and unfriendly, to the point of rude. He makes me feel like I’m not allowed to be there, and how dare me disturb him. I’m a Shell Beach native, of 10 years, it’s our only P.O. for miles. Why is the USPS not reading these reviews?

I had an awful experience at the Pismo Beach Post Office when I took in a package which had a pre-paid label on it. The clerk scanned my package and indicated our transaction was complete. I asked her for the Sales Receipt which includes tracking information.

The Postal clerk said, "We don't do that." When I asked why Pismo Beach P.O. does not offer that service that all other U.S. Postal Service offices do, she obviously became annoyed and just kept repeating that "we don't do that."

Later I called to let the Postmaster know of this opportunity for improvement. The supervisor who answered the phone, Loni, said he was busy and that she could help me. I told her what happened and she then said, as if lecturing a child, that carriers do not have the capability to issue a Sales Receipt. I repeated that I was calling about my visit to the P.O that same day. She obviously was not really listening to me.

If the two female employees I dealt with are the norm at the Pismo P.O., there is a big problem there. Fortunately there are other Post Offices in the area. Too bad the P.O. does not have quality measures in place to follow-up on customer dissatisfaction.

It's been 2 weeks in a row that I have not rec'd the Tuesday shopping ads. It has happened before. I realize our area is used as a training area. Please remind your trainees not to skip that smaller section of community mailboxes in the Pismo Dunes Resort (Senior Park).
Thank you.

What an unpleasant experience! I will never go in this post office again. The man working there was extremely rude. It is worth the time for me to go to another location - even though it is farther drive.
