Yamato Japanese Restaurant

The past couple times we have come here have been so so experience. We came here last night for dinner on a Saturday with over an hour wait we were super hungry by the time we were actually seated. Our server was on top of everything before we could even ask for it. Then our chef was super awesome and we had a great conversation with him while he was cooking. They both made the long wait worth it. We highly recommend chef Thomas and server Cassie!!!! Will definitely be going back for the two of them!!!!

The Yamato restaurant is a special place to eat. A chef prepares the food and cooks it in front of you. There are numerous things done to also make it entertaining. On top of that, the food is great. My family went on my birthday. (I ate for free).

This is the my FAVORITE restaurant thus far. It is better than my top 3 restaurants in South Florida combined! The food is perfect in every single way. I don’t know what ingredients they use, but I feel I am transporting to another dimension while ingesting. The smells, atmosphere, and chefs all make it even better. The chefs each have an individual life story and twist to how they make the Hibachi which gives credence to the ambiance. The fried rice is the best thing I’ve ever taken. The noodles are better than all of the noodle speciality places combined. I hope to meet the owner one day. What a legend!

We had a wonderful time celebrating my mother's 70th birthday. Though it's a little pricey it was a well worth it experience!

Update! Went today upon opening and food was amazing and the cook did a fabulous job as well!

The food was amazing, however both times we have now been our cook did nothing but cook... Except the Onion flame.... The other cooks around us put on a show!

Both food and service was great. It was both of my son’s birthdays and they had the best time. Definitely a fun experience.

Had a very nice meal the chef was very friendly the food was great the service was great I saw plenty of bad reviews on here before going so I was a little skeptical but me and my two children really enjoyed our meals and watching the chef cook it was actually cheaper than I thought it was going to be and the food was really good compared to some of the reviews that say that it isn't good I don't know if it's just a hit or miss situation but I was completely satisfied

My 56th Birthday 🎂 here at Yamato's was a blast! My Waitress and Chef were phenomenal, my food was heavenly and the service was impeccable however, the hostesses in the front checking everyone in were wearing tank tops/shirts showing there abdominal area, I felt this was very inappropriate in such a setting as this.

This restaurant was wonderful. They cook the food right in front of you and I guarantee you will have leftovers to take home because you will not eat it all at the restaurant. Great place.

My two friends and I had a blast! The 2 other families we were seated with were equally as awesome and we all had a great night. The food is totemo yoi! The server was prompt and attentive....I was really hungry when I went so I might have been bias at the speed of service..lol but I can't wait to go back😍

We've been going to Yamato for many years. Our last experience was the best ever. Our chef who apparently goes by "chef with the Nikes" was by far the best we have ever had. He was not afraid to season the food properly, cooked it perfectly and was very friendly and entertaining. Our server who's name I believe is Isaac was very attentive to our every need without ever having to be asked. Thank you for a fun and delicious experience.

So good! We really enjoyed ourselves. It was our daughter's birthday. The guy who made our food was great! Very nice. The staff was very nice too!

Our chef and our waiter were both very good. Our server was very attentive to us and made sure that we had everything we needed. Our chef put on a great show for us, and our food was excellent.

It was my first time and it was delicious! Both sauces were incredible and if you don't want the noodles, you can substitute for double fried rice and they do not skimp on portions let me tell you. I would go again tomorrow it was so good

We went for our anniversary on a Friday night during dinner rush and there was a short wait but definitely worth it. The food was prepared in a fun hibachi environment and cooked perfectly for us. We had a fabulous experience and will be back for sure.

Our Chef was wonderful! Very talented and engaging with our party, even came out and played a song on his guitar the 6 year old in the group! Love it everytime we eat here!

Our hibachi chef was amazing! Very interactive with us and even let some of us *attempt* the skills. Food is always excellent at Yamatos. Reservations are a must because wait can be very long. It is a great place for special events with friends and family. Pictures are the vegetarian sushi rolls and tofu/rice/veggies.

This place is amazing for birthdays and dates. Their food is amazing personally I love the steak and shrimp. You can't beat a hibachi, the chefs are really fun and give a good show
