Vietnamese Grille

The food was delicious with quick setvice! The couple that works there was very friendly and provided with a smile. The tables were a little sticky but there's nothing a quick wipe cant fix!

The portion sizes for price are very generous and the food was very good! Unsure if they always do it but we talked about splitting the spring rolls and they cut it into 6 pieces for us and gave us two sauce cups.

I love to eat out and I love finding unique dining places where you get to know the people who run the establishment. This is one of the best Vietnamese food spots to get quick, quality, yummy service. I will be sad if this business ever closes. Kit and Jimmy are phenomenal! OH one thing if you are in the area, they are closed until July for summer break.

Went to Vietnamese Grille for the first time and it’s now my new favorite spot! The menu is straightforward but full of classic dishes anyone could love. Ended up ordering more than I could eat bc it all looked amazing and it was! Super neat spot located in mid town Gainesville. We ate the beef bahn mi, chicken pho, both chicken and pork dumplings, and omg THE BEST egg rolls I’ve ever had, just so crispy. Oh and the Vietnamese coffee! That all came out in a timely manner.

Service was amazing as well, the lady took care of us and when I walked up for a Togo box, I didn’t even say anything and she had one ready for me and came and bagged up my pho, to kind.

Chicken pad thai was alright (some vegetables were too hard for my taste). Pho with beef was delicious and tender. Both had very generous portions and flavors were good. The place is quite small and dimly lit. The staff was nice but seemed aloof.

The Vietnamese Grille is a hidden gem in Gainesville Florida. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very good. The crispy salmon was a complete surprise! I normally don’t eat salmon that has been cooked because quite often it is over cooked. They prepared it superbly! The pho and their dumplings are also very good! The couple who runs the restaurant are very nice and pleasant to deal with. The serving size is more than generous. I highly recommend that you give the Vietnamese Grille a try if you want good reasonable Vietnamese food in Gainesville.

We ordered the beef pho (32 oz) and a pork bahn mi. Both were fantastic - by far better than other restaurants we've been to in Gainesville. The broth was savory (a lot of places can be sweet), the veggies were plentiful and crisp, and the meat for the bahn mi was well marinated and had a delicious bite of char flavor. The baguette was also well toasted and soft. We also had a Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee - both good but the coffee better (imo) than the tea. The total cost was between 20 - 30 dollars, which is fair considering how much food we got. I would highly recommend going here for delicious, authentic Vietnamese food.

I came here on a freezing Gainesville evening in search of some hot soup to beat the cold. I ended up splitting the Bon Bo Hue (I don’t think it was actually called that here? Try like spicy vermicelli soup)
I believe it was around $13, which isn’t the worst price i’ve seen for a bowl of Bon Bo Hue, yet still runs a tad expensive for the relative size. Nonetheless it was absolutely delicious, especially with the lime and bean sprouts that obviously come with it. It tasted authentic and hit the spot and definitely will warm you up if you walk in from the frigid cold.
The place itself is rather small yet we loved the atmosphere and the people working the counter! Super caring and attentive should you need water or extra chopsticks or anything. It’s also situated in a cute indoor plaza that I’d recommend to anyone at UF!!!

I’ve had this chicken noodle bowl over 100 times at this point over my 4 years of being at UF. So I think that speaks for itself that I HIGHLY recommend this place. The food is phenomenal and the couple that runs it are incredibly nice. Please support the Vietnamese Grille!

I got the seafood pho. The broth was really good. Very light, yet full of flavor. This is the best pho I have had in Gainesville. Portions are great and the owners were really nice.

The food is amazing! Everything is fresh and high quality, the bahn mi is packed with meat, the pho has great flavor, and the service is fast and they are very nice.

Hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant in the entire city of Gainesville! Their pho is out of this world and their stir fry’s are excellent as well. I ordered online for pickup tonight and it was arguably the best pho I’ve had.
I’ve been battling a cold for a few days now but their pho I picked up tonight made me feel so much better. If you’re in the midtown area, give this place a try!

BEST VIETNAMESE FOOD IN TOWN. Its one of those hidden hole-in-the-wall place that makes outstanding food. Dont let the size fool you. Its big flavor. And they speak Vietnamese ‘cause its real!

Very warm and friendly staff that'll guide you in the right direction. Their beef was delectable and the prices are fair for how much food you get. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting some good Asian food. 8.7/10

I keep coming back for the bahn mi and beef pho! Prices are incredibly good and portions are very generous. Hard to find a $7 bahn mi and $12 pho anywhere else.

Food is very delicious, my bahn mi always comes out warm and with crispy bread and fresh veggies! Will definitely try to frequent here more.

Solid Pho, my pick for best pho in GNV. only thing that sucks is theres rarely any street parking, so you have to pay for the parking garage.

You won’t find watery, sweet or bland beef pho at this place! The broth is rich and a bit funky in a good way. The owners are from Central Vietnam and you can taste it in their recipes. The staff are nice and the service is good - you pay first and bus your own table so you can be in/out quick! Come try this great regional Vietnamese gem across from UF.

Got the tofu pad thai. The portion is pretty generous and the noodles were really solid. Ordered to go and my food was ready in about 5 mins. Prices no more expensive than any other local place right now. Definitely will be back.
