The Serpent’s Key and Sanctuary is a great place to shop. You can find herbs, oils, incense, candles, art, and more here. The atmosphere is always calming and welcoming. Bec, the owner, is fabulous to work with and always makes you feel welcome.

When I told the Bek human I hadn’t gotten my order from October they made sure to double check the address and they sent me a bunch of super rad stuff.
Being a one human show is difficult, and Bek handles it well.

a few weeks ago i got the most beautiful pair of earrings here. definitely worth the price, they are my favorite. the shop owner is so sweet as well. can’t wait to visit again :)

Don't listen to the few hateful reviews, they're just mad. Serpent's Key is such an amazing shop! Beck is one of the sweetest humans I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their positive attitude is infectious. There are so many things to be enjoyed in this shop. Tea, candles, jewelry, perfume, and tons of other amazing local goods. There is nothing evil or bad about this shop, I can promise you. I'll be back again and again :).

All around awesome shop!!! Not just metaphysical shop, there is an array of Artisanal items. The owner and staff are fantastic, so friendly and knowledgeable. Super comfortable vibe and probably my newest favorite discovery.

The Serpents Key really brings something so special to the town. Beck’s energy is inviting, knowledgeable, and truly heartwarming! I had the best time browsing the beautiful collections from local artists (and purchased many!!) that they also found beautiful and brought to the store. We had the best conversation! Truly a must-stop in experience!

Absolutely the lovliest people working here, we drove 2 hours for my wife's birthday just to visit this shop, and were not disappointed in the least. They knew everything about every product and all about the people who made them. They were busy with their inventory when we arrived, and yet they wasted no effort in making sure we were more than well attended to. They even pointed us to some other great small-owned places in the city, so it was even better knowing these small businesses support each other. By the time we left, it just felt like we were visiting friends we had known for years.

This store is very authentic and that’s what I love most about it. I walk in and instantly feel welcomed and can just feel the good energy put into everything that is offered in the shop. Beck herself is very friendly, caring, and professional. They answers any questions you have with no judgment. You can tell they put pride into their work. They are very environmentally conscious. From cleaning up trash in the community to buying products for the shop that leave no carbon footprint.(another one of my favorite things)

This place is an absolute dream. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. They have such a wide variety of wares from jewelry, to metaphysical tools, candles, herbs, teas, bath products, books and so much more. The owner was super helpful and approachable and gave me a tarot reading that lended me some much needed insight and perspective. I even picked up a new indie handmade perfume that my partner and I both can’t get enough of! This is definitely my new go to spot for all things magical as well as for just all around great vibes.

This shop is a breath of fresh air to downtown. The owner is amazing and has organized groups of all faiths and backgrounds to clean up trash around the square. Their energy is so uplifting.
All of the items in the shop are ethically sourced and they are always open for questions and discussions, with no judgement or sales pitches. I brought my son in and he bought his first artwork and some stones and incense. Beck was so sweet explaining the zodiac imagery in the print he chose and patiently listened to him as he told them stories. :)

I love quaint shops like this in beautiful little towns that offer something outside secular norms. This shop and it's owner are a gem, and should be protected, and supported.

It's sad to see so many "loving Christians" that have never stepped foot in her shop, have never even had a conversation with the shop owner spewing hate filled biased opinions about something they have no idea about.

I know very little about the spiritual views espoused at this shop, but I do know a well-grounded person when I meet one. This shop is run by a very delightful young entrepreneur who did a fantastic job in designing her shop. I will go back to buy some interesting things later.

Never been here, but after hearing about the social injustice the Hanover police department did to the shops owner, I plan on visiting and taking my daughter. Follow the owner on TikTok!!! Harmony and good vibes ✌

A beautiful shop with so many awesome trinkets and curated products and the staff has so much general and specified knowledge on anything you would need to discuss! We went to see an Artemis/Hecate presentation and it was just wonderful! The staff are wonderful individuals and we appreciate you inviting us into your space❤

Stopped by for a piercing change, and was pleasantly surprised to find the Serpents key in the front of the store. Owner Beck is so welcoming and inviting they really made me feel a home. I was able to take time to look around this magical environment with calmness and peace. Their energy really fades your stress away. I got a few pieces and will definitely be a return customer/client.

Local and even non locals in the Hanover area, put your pitch forks and torches down and open your mind a bit and go check out this amazing human's shop!
They alone run this shop and do an amazing job all while trying to better the community by doing regular trash clean ups downtown, drives for cat supplies for local shelters and is a major supporter of other small businesses in the area.
Crystals, herbs, handmade items, literature and anything else you may need to help guide and encourage you on your own journey in a relaxing, safe space!
