Katana Sushi & Hibachi

First off. I'm very ticky about the food. I order from restaurants this evening. I was craving some shrimp fried rice and thought why not try this place. It was a few dollars pricier then the place I usually go. But I was worth it! Lot of flavor in the rice! Will definitely be back here to eat again!

Our first try this restaurant. Very nice impression, dining area is clean, the food was fresh and good quality, our server was great. Overall we was satisfied and happy to find a nice sushi restaurant in a small town. We will be back.

Met friends here for lunch their sushi was amazing all fresh and super clean environment.

To find a GOOD sushi restaurant in Texas, is like finding a diamond in a coal mine. Our meals have always been top quality at Katana. We try to go at least once a month. Weve had it as take away, but it's still better fresh. Can't wait for our next visit. Best Japanese food for hundreds of miles.

So good. The rolls are generously sized and there are rolls in every price range. We're so fortunate to have a good sushi place here. We also ordered the children's chicken teriyaki hibachi plate, which was also a hit. Can't wait to visit, again.

While traveling I found Katana on Google maps and tried to call. They didn't answer so I worried they wouldn't be open but after stopping in I was blown away with the cleanliness and atmosphere... as were my friends. The food was top notch but they didn't have the kind of hibachi we were expecting. That's ok we were very satisfied and came back a few more times to explore the menu. Udon noodle was huge, rolls were done right and the place is beautiful 🤩

This is the BEST sushi I have ever had. The wait staff is excellent. The place was clean and quick to bring out our food.

Awesome, place!!! Have eaten there 5 times now alway great food. The last time I set at sushi bar .The 2 chef were runnning crazy by did awesome job. Fresh product will go back next week.

Had the Rock's Roll... Twice in 2 days. Fluid blend of fresh flavors. Delicious.
Definitely recommend the yellowtail sushi.
Tried the takoyaki (octopus); it's wonderful.
Miso was ok, clear soup great.
Staff is friendly & attentive. Excellent service.
Lively yet homey atmosphere.

Update:
This has turned out to be my favorite restaurant. The seaweed salad is fantastic, and they are happy to substitute cucumber when asked to not use lettuce in it.
The sushi is delicious, many options available. But best of all, the staff overall is super friendly and work hard to please 🙏 so glad they are in the area!

Good sushi. They offer seaweed salad, one of my Favorites, but they put it on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which I hate, so 3 stars instead of more, which I would like to give- but seaweed salad is pricey enough - lettuce added means less good product. Sad. But will return for sushi, lots of variety in that area. The server the first time was a bit rude, and impatient with my friend, who is hearing impaired, another reason for less stars. But the next time, we had a different server who made us glad to be there. Improvement could happen. Will return.

Everything is attractive, flavorful and well prepared; but our parties tend to prefer the teriyaki dishes. I usually leave with something reading. If I enjoy a tremendous windfall someday, I might splurge on my fill of sushi; but the rolls look like a satisfactory preface thereto. The service is very attentive, too.

We really enjoyed the food. They do not cook in front of you. I didn't try any sushi so I can't comment on that.

I’ve ordered to-go from here a couple of times as the dining area is really very small and have been really impressed so far. The portion sizes are reasonable for the price and the food always has a better flavor to it than some of the other hibachi places I’ve been to.

Placed an order to go and it was ready in 20 minutes. Got chicken hibachi with fried rice and it came with soup and salad. and demon roll.

just as good if not better sushi than in midland or DFW. a little pricier but this isn't your average China buffet...

Great addition to Brownwood! We had hibachi and sushi, and it was amazing. The hibachi is made in their kitchen, not in front of you, but that did not matter to us. We loved the food and the service! The sushi comes on a plate with plants for a beautiful presentation. So impressed!

Prices were perfect for a group of 3 to share 4 different sushi rolls. The waiter was very attentive and helpful, and all of the rolls we got were really good. The music isn’t too loud and the lights aren’t too bright, and it’s a comfortable, clean environment.

Place really makes it feel relaxing,clean. Staff was really pleasant great attitude food definitely awesome.
