The food is amazing 🤩🤩 I ordered steak tacos and expected the normal 3 little tacos! But no! The tacos came out the size of 3 in 1! Great deal for a great price! My girlfriend who criticizes everything was so happy! 10 of 10 recommend! Will be back! Oh a the cactus to die for! I love going to support small businesses and I’m so glad for this visit!

Great authentic Mexican food. The flavors are incredible... The Nachos are so fulfilling...and their fresh waters are top notch. Prices are very affordable. Great Family Environment...

I’ve door dashed like 10 times from here. And seriously.. THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD in North Georgia! I’m from south Texas. And this has felt like homemade south Texas Mexican food. I’ve tried other mexican restaurants. This beats them all.

Was in the area and stopped by here. Very picky about Mexican food and my husband is Peruvian but eats Mexican weekly. We were both pleasantly surprised. He said it was so good he wants to come back before we leave tomorrow and maybe best Mexican he has had. We live just outside Atlanta, so that means something, since we have a lot of options. Food was fresh, margaritas were on point, and atmosphere was good. Would highly recommend, if in the area.

We just had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner in the event room (~60 people). The manager and staff were overly responsive and helpful. The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed the evening because the staff took such good care of us! Highly, highly recommend!!!

Went here with my Mexicana friend, who told me the food was good and he wasn't kidding. Appetizers are a little pricey, but the food was bomb-diggity. Service was above and beyond. Atmosphere was condusive to relaxing. 😌

Tilapia and shrimp plate was fantastic. That was the best tasting tilapia I have had so far. I think that there are people out there that might not even like fish who would still like that tilapia. Good service too.

Just realized this place was here in Dalton. I used to eat at the one in Colledgedale and was thrilled to find this one here! Servers are friendly and prompt and food is fantastic! Be sure to stop in...you won't regret it!!!

Very good service and super friendly and personal. Marisol was our server and was fantastic. We each got something different that was fresh and seasoned well. I recommend and will return soon.

I first reviewed The Chop House with a 1 star. Then I noticed the name was changed to El Maguey. I finally had a chance to try their Mexican food and it was good. Guessing most of the poor reviews belong to the chop house because Google uses geographical locations and not company names.
