A definite hidden Gem located right on the curve of the road across the street from apple Annie’s next to the oak glen retreat ,Homemade Authentic Mexican food ,cozy inside with a fireplace and outside seating if you want to enjoy the scenery the owner Leo and his wife were friendly and inviting and the food was absolutely amazing! From the birria ramen to the chile verde we even sample their mole and enchiladas,Taquitos and nachos all the food was amazing it’s definitely my go to spot whenever I’m in the area ,I highly recommend you check them out and on Fridays they may fish tacos! Plenty of choices even for the kids

So great! Every time we come here it’s just a delightful experience. Not sure what you want? Ask the waitress for her recommendation. This is the kind of place where you feel at home. They go the extra mile in everything the do. The food, drinks, staff, ambiance. It’s just fantastic!

Food is great and the guy serving us was super friendly and had a great attitude. Second time here and won’t be the last. Brought friends this time and was hoping it was good as they wanted to eat somewhere else and I talked them into it but everyone was happy after eating here!

Coming from a gringo who ordered a torta off the menu "gringo".. it was super good. Will most definitely be back. Loved the fire place to keep warm.

This was our second time to eat here. Both times we had an excellent experience. The owners served us and were very gracious. The food is all made in-house and is very good. The atmosphere on the patio under big shade trees was very relaxing. We plan to keep returning over and over.

Food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS, Ice Cold beverage, Service & Music is ALWAYS GREAT. Restraunt & Bathrooms are ALWAYS CLEAN. Amount of food they Serve is GREAT & they Do Not skimp on the Guacamole. This restaurant is located in a perfect setting of Beautiful Oak Glen. It is a nice drive & there are shops you can visit.

Good food, nice atmosphere, and friendly service!

My fiancé and I have enjoyed very much the wonderful food. I love Taquitos and these that are made here are the best I have ever eaten. The owners are so nice and make sure that we had a pleasant experience.
The outdoor patio is so pleasant and with a gentle breeze. El Mexicano Restaurant in Oak Glen really is fantastic!!!!

Good food, very small, so food will take a while. Don't come super hungry, I didn't mind the wait, enjoy family conversation. Will come again.

You come into this restaurant with trees and vegetation. I think it's a relaxing environment and being in Oak Glen it's close to apple Annie's. The only thing about the food was it did not enough seasoning in my meat. I had the pork. Other then that the chips and salsa are good.

The service was nice but fast too. I ordered my kids food first and it came out in a timely manner in my opinion. My family and parents celebrated one other their birthdays dinners here.

We had lunch today. I've dined all over the country and this restaurant really stood out. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Management was very personable. I had chicken enchiladas. The meat was very moist white meat. Rice and beans were fresh also. Excellent . It was hot today and the quaint , tree covered back patio was perfect.

We ate here our first night in Oak Glen. It's a Thursday so not busy at all. Our food was quick and delicious. Chili Colorado, Chile relleno, chicken tacos, quesadillas for the kids, large ice cold Modelo and Margherita. Amber was very friendly and an excellent server. Will be back this weekend.

Having a great time at this restaurant. The service here is great Mario has been absolutely wonderful. The salsa is the bomb the food is great the beers are cold. And Mario even brought me a fresh cold glass with my next beer. Love this place I would give it 10 stars if I could

Real, actual Mexican food! Sure you may wait a bit but in oak Glen that's normal for any food place, especially September through November during apple season. Try the Glen's nachos if you want something huge and filling but also tasty! The back patio area is charming and shady...check it out for some authentic fresh Mexican food.

So after leaving a near by restaurant for the horrible service, we stumbled upon El Mexicano and thank God because service was great food was delicious with a relaxed atmosphere felt like we were in Mexico eating outside listening to live music. We're excited to hopefully have them cater our next party! Thanks for keeping our Father's Day awesome!
