Azteca Grill Mexican Restaurant

This was our 2nd trip to Big Bear Lake and we were thrilled to find this place after reading all the reviews. The food is excellent, it came out super fast and great tasting. The margarita was amazing, I could not ask for better. Oh and the dessert the young man recommended was out of this world. So glad it was open late on a Sunday, you cannot go wrong here. Will definitely be coming back for more.

We came to visit and met my friend who is a local. She recommended this place and it was not a disappointment. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great, they had live music and food was very good. We had the avocado fries, bacon wrapped shrimp and a Don Juan burrito that was enormous. The owner was on hand and made sure our experience was great. The margaritas were delicious. We got a pitcher of watermelon margaritas. They made them Cadillac style with shots of grand Marnier on the side. I highly recommend this place.

This place was perfect. A comfy joint conveniently situated on the main road, their ginormous portions are served at low prices and taste phenomenal. Our waiter was very upbeat, the atmosphere was very nice, and they played nice music, which sealed the deal as a fantastic experience. I definitely recommend this place, and I will come back.

The restaurant is very cozy and even in cooler weather you can sit outside and the staff will prepare for you outdoor heater which was very lovely.
The food was great and the staff very nice and they really make sure to take care of you so you leave happy.

Small, cute and cozy place. Drinks and food on point!! Found this place by reviews and it surpassed the level of satisfaction. We ordered Avocado fries, steak fajitas burrito with green sauce and their special Mole green sauce chicken. So flavorful and so delicious!! We definitely return here!

The food is delicious, the drinks are awesome, the staff are very nice, polite, and professional. Great live music and cool atmosphere. I strongly recommend!

We found this restaurant from reviews on here the food is amazing I order bacon wrapped shrimp and it was on point 😋. Customer service was great. The atmosphere is really cozy as well. Also if you have dogs they are welcomed and they even have a menu for them.

Amazing all around! Service was great, outdoor and indoor seating. I got the fajitas and it was delicious and HUGE! I saw someone get a burrito to their table and it was massive. There was live music playing (Saturday I was here) and it was really nice and not too loud, that was pretty cool to have.

I thought it was kind of expensive when I first saw the menu but it is a resort town in California so that’s kind of how it is.

Only thing I wasn’t ecstatic about was I got 3 little corn tortillas with my fajitas, and when they brought me 3 more, they charged me $1 for them. I would still highly recommend this place.

Really good Mexican food and the service was great. All the servers are very attentive to drinks, napkins, condiments, etc.

Taco Tuesday is the day to come and eat. Soft or hard shell.
Shredded chicken or beef or ground beef only. Great deal for a buck fifty.

This place was so good! The drinks, the food, the vibes! Very welcoming, fast service, food and drinks were huge and delicious ! They even have doggy meals to go that are cooked up hot. We got a small one for our dog. Definitely recommend stopping here!

Highly recommend!! The service was insanely good here. The food was crazy good too! The burrito is MASSIVE! Chips and salsa were killer. This was best meal we’ve had in Big Bear. Our server was excellent and the owner popped by twice during our dinner to ask if we needed anything. You won’t be disappointed!

The food was amazing, had great flavor and the steak and chicken in the burritos was cooked perfectly tender and juicy. Customer service was great. The atmosphere was very lively and friendly. The burritos and quesadillas are huge! As you can tell from the pictures, there was plenty of leftovers going home with us and we were stuffed! Definitely recommend this restaurant on your trip to Big Bear.

Great place for Mexican food. Their Chile relleno was pretty tasty along with their chicken taco. The stars of the show for me was the tortilla soup and chili Verde. The soup had a good vegetable soup base with a pretty surprising depth of flavor. The chicken was a bit overcooked but the flavors were very good

Their drinks were pretty good too. The Jamaica drink was not watered down and was pretty darn good. The horchata drink was a bit sweeter then my wife liked but it tasted just right for me.

Definitely coming back for more!

Top notch Mexican restaurant just before the main town in Big Bear. They have great tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas. The chips and salsa was also good.

They had a live folksy soft rock musician playing on Saturday night.

The place is small, but the service was fairly quick and they had a nice bar and television screens in several areas of the restaurant.

They also have outside seating, with some fire heaters. 5 star all the way.

We went for drinks and snacks and it was great! The service was friendly and fast (and I was with some very high maintenance people 😬), the drinks were strong and fun, the salsa is so good, and the food was exactly how you want Mexican food to taste: delicious and hot!

Excellent Service ( too bad today was our waitress last day! 😥) She recommended the Tortilla soup - was best I ever had. Huge too half home!! Also enjoyed a Mexican coffee! Yummy.. gave nice buzz to motivate me to put my chains on on freezing weather!! Lots chips & sauce!

We really enjoyed the cocktail drinks here. We got birria and it was really hot. Perfect for the cold weather. Foods were so yummy. Prices are reasonable too.
