The Hotel Laurel at Seneca Lake

Very clean simple motel room.
Comfy beds, private balcony. Bathroom a bit too small. Beautiful view of the lake. Great location to begin your wine day on Seneca Lake. Staff was super welcoming and personable, even the chef would come out to check on his patrons. Restaurant has good food, menu is growing. Very chill enjoyable place to rest your head.

Great value for the money. The rooms were basic but very neat and well maintained. Great views of the lake. I recommend for a weekend visiting the wine trail.

This was our Firt stay at the Laural. The rooms are very clean and nice. The view was amazing. Beautiful view of the lake. We had dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good. Our waitress was pleasant. The device was excellent.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Before we even arrived, communication with the staff was very easy and helpful. The rooms are freshly updated. They are stylish and clean, and we appreciated the designer's attention to detail. The light fixtures, marble topped bedside tables, and built ins really were beautiful. The bath towels were plush. The views from the balcony were gorgeous! We ate at the bar and our food, drinks and service were wonderful. The hotel is centrally located and right in the middle of everything. The only negative thing of note was the smell in the room because of the installation of new materials, but obviously that will fade, and can't be helped. If we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again.

We came across this place while doing a simple Google search. The initial draw was that it was half the price of other places right on Seneca Lake. If you are looking for a decent, clean place to stay and not interested in luxurious extras, then you will be very happy here. It is obvious that a lot of time and money has been invested in renovations. The private balconies and public deck with beautiful lake views are a definite plus, as is the location which is a two minute ride into town.

First time staying at The Hotel Laurel and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were beautifully renovated. There were only a few small issues I could find like no shelf in the shower to hold shampoo etc..The showers half glass door wall is not enough to protect the bathroom from getting wet. Unfortunate for the toilet paper since it hangs just outside the shower. The lighting is a bit harsh. Warmer bulbs in the rooms would fix this. More plugs or lamps that have plugs or USB ports to be able to plug things in. It sounds like alot, but it really isn't, and the staff is so amazing that it is easy to give this place a break on the few changes they could make. I was already planning my next trip to watkins glen and planning to stay with my family here. OH!!! AND I CANT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT THE EGGPLANT FRIES!!! Sooooo Good!!!! I just stayed here for a weekend in July and it was perfect! I love the rooms and decor - it felt like a brand new hotel! The prices were affordable compared to other places and that’s what sold me. Our room had a back deck that overlooked the lake so we watched the sunrise and sunset everyday we were there. It’s very peaceful and I barely heard the road traffic when we were on the back deck. I can’t wait to come back in the fall and hopefully next summer (the pool wasn’t open but when it is, it’ll overlook the lake too)!

Lovely stay. Refurbished rooms with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Old school keys and pull up to your room parking. The view from the balcony on the top floor rooms is spectacular. It’s not a luxury hotel but it’s clean, well appointed and was perfect for college move in week. About 40 mins from Ithaca and away from the hectic move in traffic.

Came to this place when it was a different name ! An old lady had it! Went to the room looked around pulled sheets down an it was coated in bed bugs horrible! I requested my money back an left an never have went back! So I hope they exterminated this place before redoing it!!! I hope maybe one day we’d be able to stay here under good terms! Refurnished old school motel. Comfortable bed and huge bathroom. The view is everything. Each room has an outdoor balcony or patio that overlooks Lake Seneca. Perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Also benches closer to water.

Rooms were very nice and staff was amazing, will definitely stay again and recommend to others!

On a drive from Brooklyn to Buffalo, I stopped in the car park to soak up the incredible views.

I would like to extend a thank you for the receptionist at the glen motor inn. He was very helpful in providing my mom, daughter and I a room for three nights. We originally had our hotel reservations at the Plum point lodge which the owner an receptionist was rude and gave the room that we reserved and paid for to someone else. The Plum Point lodge moved us from two double beds to a queen size bed for three people. We got our money back and had to find a hotel. We traveled 6 hours. We stopped in at the Glen Motor Inn and they were so accommodating to us. Thank you for everything. The room was very cleaned. We had no issues. I would recommend this Motel. I wish the new owners the best of luck and success. Again thank you. Trudy

The place could use a bit of an upgrade, not a make over. It was clean and quiet. Great view of the lake from our "deck". Over all the place reminded me of the motels from my youth, a step back in time. Charming would stay here again.

Nice and close to downtown Watkins Glen. Great views of the lake and very friendly, helpful and laid back staff.

Gorgeous view of Seneca Lake! Go back in time to Watkins Glen’s race car history. Anyone who was anyone has been here and had their picture here to prove it! Very nostalgic, old motor inn, but very clean! We’d definitely come back again! Thank you Andrew for your hospitality!
