Stu's Surf Side

We ordered take out.. We are so glad to have found Stu's !! .. Ordered and back on the road in 10 minutes.. The husband ordered a #1, and I ordered a #9 .. Outstanding subs !! You can actually taste every ingredient of the sub because they compliment each other without overpowering, seasoning, sauce, condiments. Hat's off !! We will definitely return to try out the large menu !!

Stu's is our go-to for a quick lunch if we don't want to fight traffic to leave the south end. Sandwiches are always great - my usual is the islander add sprouts. Now that they've expanded there's plenty of tables to dine in. Calling in for pick up is always a breeze. Thanks Stu! ☀

BEST SANDWICH SHOP. Our family has been coming here for years and it only gets better. We all have Stu's shirts and we don't advertise just any sandwich shop... The French onion soup is amazing. Every sandwich is incredible honestly and with all 12 of us we've probably tried them all. They have tons of chips and drink options and they have at least 20 specialty subs. The last time we visited (Dec 2023) two of us got meatball subs and the deliciousness of them was the awe of passers-by. Seriously two people said, "Wow where did you get that sub??" That's the kinda sandwich you need in your life.

Best subs ive ever had! Had them twice in one week. Fresh and tasted delicious. They are very big, loaded with ingredients and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the #2 and #8. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking can be tough around here so keep that in mind. They do have a bathroom. Indoor and outdoor seating

Broccoli & Cheese yummy. Good sandwiches and a dog friendly place. Friendly service staff. Definitely come again!

Can't put into words with this taste like. I was in the area and decided to try it, and omg!!!! It's called "The steak bomber."

Hands down my favorite place in South Carolina. Their homemade bread is the best!!!! They expanded the restaurant and now have a lot more indoor seating and a restroom. The restaurant is clean, the staff is super friendly, portions are large, it’s affordable, and service is quick. The Jedi is my go to, but everything we have ever had was delicious! If you have a chance—you should definitely eat here.

This place is the bees knees! The customer service is great, and the food is better. Had the #18, and it did not disappoint. Great sandwich for a good price. The bread is so soft and fresh, you won’t only want half of a sub! Can’t wait to come back next year and get myself some Stu’s!

We tried this place for dinner while on spring break in HHI...the subs were fresh, stacked and delicious, not to mention huge. The potato salad is a must try.

great sandwhiches very filling! tastes good. only 1 small issue is you cannot sub one mest for another or make your own because everything is presliced to make the sandwiches faster

The sandwiches are absolutely delicious! The service was great; friendly and warm! We got The Local(with no cheese and add bacon) w/ the chili and The Asian Persuasion w/ chips. Definitely will be back again.

The sandwiches are great and very big. The soups were delicious, we had chili and French Onions. Would highly recommend.

What a Local Sub shop should be. Excellent subs, soups, even salads.

The amazing bread is wider than most, perfect for a Cuban which they offer.

Stu's is always the first place we visit on the island... except this time. Thanks Florence :( but we did get there eventually. Sandwiches were as fantastic as always. The bread is just so fresh and yummy. Service always with a smile! Only thing that sucked was my Ms pac man game.

We stumbled upon this place with 2 screaming toddlers, ready to eat. We walked in 5 min before close and they didn’t seem to mind. I grew up in San Diego and was hoping it was going to be similar to the subs I had along the beach. BAM! It was amazing. We ordered 4 different menu items and they were all top notch. They did not skimp on the guacamole and the sprouts were fresh. They noticed my wife ordered the veggie sub and brought out a new veggie soup for her to try before it hit the menu the next day. SO GOOD. They didn’t mind the screaming kids and the food came out quickly. I would definitely recommend Stu’s time and time again.

First experience here and it will definitely be on my list if I ever come back to HHI. I got the Fat Boy and it was absolutely amazing. This was probably the best sub I've ever had. I got mine Hot and that was the way to go the bread was toasted just right. Everything on the menu sounded great so I don't think you will be disappointed with anything.

1/2 sub is plenty for a nice size, packed sub on a fresh roll. They customize on request (no mayo, xtra lettuce etc..) Fast turn around, too.

A highly recommended local restaurant in HHI. We were shopping in and around the Coligny shopping center and came across this restaurant. A small place inside, but you have comfortable seating area inside and some really good options on the menu. The bread was fresh and good and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Would definitely visit again.
