This is Alta's main on-mountain dining restaurant to stop at for a break during your day of skiing. The food is expensive but it is solid. The oatmeal raisin cookie is probably the best one we have ever had. It was amazing! There is also a small gift shop within Alf's that has tons of cool Alta branded stuff.

The new renovation at Alf’s offers even more beautiful views of Alta. My kids get fries, and my husband loves a good CHETO (grilled cheese sandwich with tomato). I highly recommend heading to the furthest side away from the checkout registers for the best tables with windows overlooking the runs.

Decent sized restaurant halfway on the mountain. Serves typical ski food.

I love this ski area. It's a throwback kind of place with great skiing. If you hit it on a powder day it is just fantastic.

Food is a bit spendy, but typical of other resorts. Excellent sandwiches! I think they cater to a higher end clientele, so they don't cut corners. High-quality ingredients make for a more memorable eating experience.

Alf's is always crowded, and with good reason. Their chili and fries are the two stars of the show, but the deli and Grill food is good too. Prices are definitely higher than you'd pay down in the valley, but it's a good place to go relax in the middle of your ski day.

Great place to start the day off. I like to get here early, with the old timers, and grab a breakfast burrito & coffee, just enjoying the view up the mountain and getting ready for a great day on the slopes.

Dining done well by Alf, not sure he’s still around tho. Plenty of great food and good history to commiserate with warm friends and family🍽

Amazing little lodge at Alta ski area. Drank way too much beer but the burger was amazing.

Great sandwiches custom made. Prices are moderate for a ski mountain. Best of all is their little extras that tell customers that they're valued. Buy a hot chocolate, get a free refill. Unheard of for a ski area. I love Alta, and I love Alf's!

This is for sure my favorite lodge up at Alta. I tried the daily special which was a bowl of Thai Red Curry with rice and was super impressed. The only gripe I have with the experience are the high prices which are pretty much guaranteed if you come up skiing. I'd totally recommend the curry if you see it on the menu but since it's a special I have no idea if it will be up there again. Other than the curry I really like the beef chilli in a bread bowl and the hot chocolate. Would totally consider coming up here if you get hungry on the slopes.

The chili is divine. Get the sour cream, cheese, and jalapenos. You won't regret it. The only downside is it can get busy around lunch time, which means it can be tough to get a seat. If you go outside of holiday hours or on Sundays, it isn't too bad.

Busy and fast. Fast food, but pretty good. Great view!

Sadly it is summer and Alf's is closed (also being remodeled it seems) but the hike up was beautiful with wildflowers in every color as far as you could see. It was very crowded though, may be a bit better to go up later in the day when the morning hikers have left and the sun is cooler.

Wonderful on mountain Lodge at Alta. Convenient for our group of varied skier ability, some skiers we're at the easier runs of Sunnyside and Supreme, while others were at the more advanced terrain on Sugarloaf and Collins and we could all meet at Alf's for lunch. Also a great place to stop at the sub zero day we skied. If you buy a hot drink you can use your receipt for another free hot drink anytime the same day, and the prices are quite cheaper than most other Utah places.

Nice little place to eat and warm up! We got two amazing powder days one with sun and one with clouds but it’s all good when you can sit down and get a cheap pitcher of beer and some fries.

Lots of seating and heaters along the windows, which is great for feet and hands for the little ones,or gloves, the second cup of hot chocolate is free if you keep your receipt. For indulgence they have the best chocolate cake donuts ever.

Alf's has great chili and hot sandwiches. Prices are very fair considering it's on the ski hill. The staff here is always friendy and you can tell they really care about their jobs.
