Camp Critter Country

Moose came to live with us when he was two years old and along with him came several behavioral issues. Since he was a rescue one can only guess at what his life was like, but whatever it was made him one very large, lovable hunk of chocolate Lab who is extremely anxious and reactive anytime he's outside his home. Therefore, Moose requires structure, time, and his own space before he feels comfortable in an environment. Camp Critter Country understands that each pet's needs are different and is able to provide a facility and care that can accommodate each pet where ever they might fall in that spectrum. The accommodations and services are customizable and provide a safe environment for both the guests and workers. Each afternoon they post pictures of all the pets' day and text when there are issues. We are so grateful to know that Moose was safe, exercised, socialized, and loved while we were able to cross off a couple bucket list items. We've already booked Moose's next visit!

Camp Critter Country is AMAZING! I love this place! I never have to worry about the care my dog will receive every time. They do a tremendous job in offering safe, and closely supervised enriching experiences for your dog or cat. My dog Archer had such a great time that we missed him more than he missed us 😁. Archer recently stayed there for 13 nights and on a daily basis they posted pictures of the dogs participating in various activities. Every time Archer always seemed very happy and healthy! These pictures gave me a tremendous peace of mind that he was being very well cared for, so I could truly enjoy my vacation without worrying about him. 5 stars are simply not enough for Camp Critter

One of my dogs has separation anxiety and actually enjoyed staying at camp for 6 days thanks to the wonderful staff. Both dogs come home exhausted from their camp vacations! Definitely a five star doggy camp! Thanks again for the wonderful care you give them.

If you love your pet but travelling with them isn't an option. Take them here. They will love your pets as their own! My dog usually wants to stay at camp when I pick him up! The staff is amazing! The picture is my dog when I said it's time for camp!

We love this place! Great amenities for the pups and we trust the staff. Food is included too.

Wonderful place for your loved pets, they take such good care of our fur babies, we highly recommend Camp Critter County, the staff is absolutely fantastic, they make it very obvious that they love what they do, they have various special activities for the fur babies, Camp Critter County goes above and beyond for their campers!

Camp Critter takes such good care of our dog. She gets to interact with other dogs and gets love from the staff. We feel so comfortable leaving her here. Also, their nail trims and baths are far better than anyone in the Kalamazoo area. Thanks for taking care of our girl!!

We recently boarded our 10 year old dog for the first time and were so impressed by the care he received at camp. We were pretty nervous to leave him and were so impressed by the kindness of the staff who answered each of my questions. Moose has a lot of separation anxiety and the second time we brought him to camp he jumped out of our van, tail wagging, and ran in the door if that tells you anything! The staff post pictures of the pups every day on their Facebook page which gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to truly relax and not worry about our boy while on vacation. The staff seem to truly care about their campers and Moose came home exhausted after his fun 10 day vacation. We are very grateful for and impressed with the care at Camp Critter Country!

We have been boarding our dogs at Camp Critter Country for over 10 years now. They are amazing! We have moved out of the area but still drive an hour each way, out of the way, to board them there because there is no other place we trust as much as them! I never have to worry if they are being taken care of as well as they would be at home.

My daughter loves this kennel for her Aussie. They are very clean and offer great service. Paid extra for a bath and nail clip but he smelled incredible and was so soft! Pictures are posted daily of all the dogs. Our dog loves it there. Highly recommended.

Camp Critter Country is the best dog boarding facility in the area. My high drive shepherd mix LOVES spending time with their staff & going on hikes or having 1 on 1 time. She is always happy at drop off & pick up. They treat her as if she is their own & I will ALWAYS recommend them to anyone in Michigan.
We recently moved out of state & have yet to find a facility as awesome as this one!

First ever boarding experience, and so I was incredibly anxious about leaving my baby girl. Camp Critter Country posted pictures and videos daily, easing my worries. They took care of Moose as if she were their own. The facility was incredibly clean. Many different boarding options, flexible pick up and drop off times, and reasonably priced. Moose even got a little report card at the end! Straight A’s of course! ;-) I couldn’t recommend this place more for people who believe pets are an extension of family. If you have to board, board here!

There are many wonderful dog lovers in the business of boarding and grooming who are well-intended but lacking in depth of dog knowledge. Camp Critter Country is the rare combination of dog lover and serious dog knowledge. Their attention to detail, the little things they notice, and their honest and open communication skills are exceptional. I drive 45 minutes each way for boarding, grooming, and even nail trims. Well worth it. Seeing how happy our dogs are there, how they walk in and out wagging every time, is the proof in the pudding!

Emily and staff are FANTASTIC! Was very nervous leaving my lil Bella. But they were SO good with her! The daily pictures on their website are brilliant! I could see Bella getting less & less apprehensive! She was very well taken care of! BEST PLACE EVER!!

We boarded our very bratty and aggressive bulldog here. We were concerned that she would act out during her stay so we elected to have her isolated from other dogs, and paid for extra hikes. Staff was not concerned about our hesitancy, and acted with complete confidence with her, which is exactly what she needed. When we picked her up she was happy and had no indication that she was mistreated or fearful! We would absolutely take her here again!!

Camp Critter Country is soooo Pawesome!!! They treat their campers like their own!! There is no other place I would take my precious fur baby!!

Since we had many animals, we always had a house sitter, our
remaining "group" were not use to being kenneled.
We were concerned about separating our cat from the dogs as they
are a pack. Camp Critter accommodated us with one of the wonderful
rooms they have. Also unusual from most kennels, they take the dogs
out five times a day. Although we do not travel much, it is a relief
to have such a wonderful facility. The staff truly do seem to enjoy the
animals.

We rarely need to board our cockapoo but with both of us traveling we choose Camp Critter Country. We are very glad we did...the staff, facilities, service and grooming were just great. With daily activity and hikes the final cost was quite reasonable. Would definitely choose to come here again.
