Ming Tree

Not technically in Knoxville, but this is probably the best "American style" Chinese food in Knoxville.
First: do not get take out. Eat inside. Everything is so crispy, sauces are perfect, but it's but going to be the same in your hotel room.
Possibly the best shrimp toast and general tso chicken I've ever had. To notch.

They have my favorite chicken pad tai out of anywhere! It's usually quiet and relaxing when I've gone. Staff is friendly and the service is pretty quick. Overall, they are reasonably priced, and the serving sizes are generous. I recommend giving them a try if you've never been.

Visited during a Saturday for dinner time. It was pretty busy but we’re served our food very fast. Portions are a good size and can be easily shared with others in your group. Jesus, our server took really good care of us. Food was good.

We have frequented the Ming Tree for over 25 years and have always found the food to be consistently good. On Jan 10, 2024, paid for lunch for 3 people about $33 while getting enough food to take some home. They just recently renovated the restaurant to make it look very nice.

There seem to be mixed reviews, but I had a good experience here. For airport adjacent Chinese food, I thought it was tasty and reasonably priced. It was certainly better than anything you could get in the surrounding infestation of fast food restaurants.

I’m from Franklin Tn … Franklin thinks they are fancy and the best but this Asian food by far exceeded my expectations…. So very good I hade the family meal sweet and sour delight

I ordered eggdrop soup and moo goo gai pan, two of my favorites. Both were very good and served hot.

Everything was wonderful, except that the green peppers were not cooked quite long enough.

Even though I gave the atmosphere a 3 star, the food & service is excellent. I've been going here for nearly 30+ years and I am never disappointed. Yes, it needs some updates done inside but I'd rather have great food than a pretty place to sit. If you love Chinese or Thai food, you should give them a try. Highly recommend the Hot-n-sour soup (add some wonton dumplings), the Mu-Shu Pork, Ginger Shrimp, Sweet-n-sour Pork, fried chicken drumettes (wings), and so much more.

I usually only do new place that I go to. However I have been going to this place since 1995. It has always been consistent and great food quality. I feel I should give them a new updated review I have recently been and it was just as good as always.

This restaurant is a cozy jewel in busy Alcoa Highway. We visited at least once a month. Their service is always outstanding. Their food is consistently delicious. Highly recommended!

Great food! Not a local but I wish I was because I did enjoy the Thai portion of the menu. I had the massaman curry and it was perfectly flavored; very well balanced. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant itself is cozy and clean.

My sister and I went for supper and the food was great as usual. Go during the week it isn't as busy as weekends. You can eat and relax and enjoy the company you are with.

It's almost as good as my favorite restaurant that closed. This is now my new Chinese restaurant.

Great food!!! Had the stir fry shrimp and vegetables and Hot and Sour soup. Cooked perfectly. Our server was also very prompt and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to any who like Chinese cuisine. I will be back!!
