It has been at least a decade since I've been in an instrument shop that had folks this friendly and a top-notch selection of all different types of instruments from back porch picker to pro recording artist style! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Albuquerque area. I wish Stan and the boys were set up in my town. I'd even stop just to swap stories with them. Call Ricky

Guitar Vista is a great guitar shop! Eli and Stan are super nice people, very down to earth, and extremely helpful.
The instrument selection is top notch, with some unique options at good price points. Definitely a must-visit shop if you're a jazz, blues, bluegrass, country, folk, or classical guitarist.
They carry a mix of vintage/pre-owned and new guitars, and there's always something interesting to try out. They also have nice amps and guitar strings, as well as some gig bags/cases.

Wow!!!! What a great experience!! Visiting the area stopped by to check things out. As an old man beginner of about 3 years, I've shied away from guitar stores, I know weird, right? They made me feel like I was a pro and never treated me like a beginner, NOT like most other stores do and then try to only sell you $$$$$ guitars. They let me try out an Eastman 484 and gave extremely helpful hints regarding my bad right hand along with great tips to adjust my strumming technique. I felt I was with family or friends stayed for an hour, getting free tips, history of vintage guitars and listening to Stan play a sweet arch top Gretsch.
Folks please don't waste your time going to guitar center or other box stores, frankly they suck really bad. Instead visit this store even if traveling through Albuquerque, you will have no regrets and your supporting a local business, with expert knowledge and some of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure to meet. Really, these guys are the very best!!!!

I had such a great experience with this father and son duo. Being new to the guitar scene, they were patient in answering all my questions. They were friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend visiting Guitar Vista for all your guitar needs.

Wanted to grab a new tail piece for my banjo, and I'm lucky they had a great one in stock. Friendly owner and friendly customers who just love talking about music. Definitely a great place to pick up what you need. A great reason to shop local.

An amazing store with fine stringed instruments at remarkable prices.. What a gift to the community. The truly fair pricing and quality of the guitars is only exceeded by the expertise of Stan and his staff. If you play or you are thinking of starting, get your butt in here.

My favorite guitar store, hands down. Stan IS the man. Pleasant, knowledgeable and very accomodating. He has a rotating inventory of fine instruments for all player types and all budgets. I wish I still traveled to ABQ for work because I definitely miss dropping in. You never knew who would be there or who would stop in and start up a jam.

What an experience! All that a guitar store should be. As soon as I opened the door, I was received with "Welcome, how are you doing this fine day" most genuine greeting. Then, the owner sat down with me and let me play every master piece in the store. Friends walked in, sat down, and played with me. Meanwhile, a young girl accompanied buy her family got her first guitar and the whole store celebrated!!! Was an awesome experience, the knowledge, the charisma, the humbleness, the guitars. Thank you, everyone, for letting me have a merry experience.

Top class place, yet approachable. Don’t be afraid to sit and try out some of the finest acoustics in the southwest. Stan is incredibly friendly, so is the company he keeps. The shop normally has a few regulars in there hanging out, which will make you feel at home as an artist that likes to “talk shop”. Stan genuinely loves every instrument he stocks and wants to share them with his customers.
I was pining for a Guild M-20 for 2 years after playing it here. I took my father with me in December 2021 and left with a Guild M-25 for a Fantastic price, and my father left with a high quality Eastman limited edition. Great place, great instruments and great people all around.
Thanks, Stan!

I have purchased several guitars. I love the service. The owner is great and really is helpful. After checking around I thought the prices were very fair. I would definitely recommend it. His interest is getting you the best guitar for your particular level. For me that less expensive guitar

I am new to the area and was looking for a guitar setup and strings. I will never take my instruments anywhere else! I had a great experience at Guitar Vista. My guitar plays like new, was repaired for FAR less than I had expected based on chain stores and local estimates, and everyone I spoke with was so kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming.

This is the best shop in town, do yourself a favor and check them out. Super cool selection of stringed instruments and equipment as well. Looking forward to taking my ukulele here for the same treatment soon!

Stopped in at this guitar shop to browse. They are constantly revolving selection of vintage instruments, and boy, I was not disappointed! In the somewhat small shop, I managed to find three vintage acoustics and one vintage electric that I would’ve snatched up if I had Donald Trump‘s money! The proprietor of the business was extremely friendly and he and I chatted for 20 or 30 minutes about instruments, life, and all things music. He tells me they have a frequently rotating selection of used instruments so I will be sure to check back with them often.
