Island Savoy Market

Visiting Alameda for a week and stumbled upon this charming market in the local neighborhood. Everything I needed was there....a combination of organic food store with a coffee cafe, a deli with plant based meats as well as regular, organic produce, local artesian food products, a curated selection of locally made gifts ( think pottery, dish towels, cards), local craft beers and wines. And the Thursday night dinner were complete and delicious (take out). Owned my a local couple and family owned....a real gem in the neighborhood.

I just found this establishment after living in the area for a while. It is a beautiful little market with some general "convenience store" style groceries.

It has a coffee station, so you can get your favorite coffee beverage. It also has an artesian sandwich deli where they will hand make sandwiches for you.

They keep the inside/outside very clean. The customer service is top-notch! Highly recommended!

Specialty items are both rare and of excellent quality. The staff is helpful and friendly and we love the board games in the cafe!

There's a friendly vibe here, with smiling faces and lots of locals walking in and enjoying the company. There are so many choices plus local treats to savor!

Plus you can find some quiet tables to sit outside too.

I love a place where I can do two things at once. The sandwich was great and picked up some healthy snacks for later. Friendly faces from beginning to end.

I heard great things about Savoy and finally decided to try it out. I was told Deli has a nice vegetarian selection. A bit disappointing: the only veggie selection is the grilled cheese sandwich. Admittedly, it was good. Theoretically, you can build your own sandwich, but again - not a lot of variety for a vegetarian preference.

The wine selection is good if you are looking for a mid-price wine: $13 to $30 range.

Overall, not the place I would run into for a quick shopping trip. Items offered are of high quality but not enough variety or choices. Has the basics covered, but that’s about it. My corner “mom & pop” store offers more items for lower prices, so I will likely stick with that for my daily routine.

What I did like about the Savoy Market is the spacious atmosphere, ability to sit down to eat the sandwich (have not tried outdoor patio yet) and to drink a beverage from the coffee/tea counter. This place is definitely a great addition to the neighborhood.

I just happened to stop by because I needed to snatch my son something quick for lunch. I was blown away by the customer service. And the food options are A+. Couldn't have asked for a better experience in a shop.

Really enjoyed the grand opening! Great turnout and the staff was amazing the whole time. Great coffee, great sandwiches and a good selection of local beer and groceries too.

I would like to take this time to thank Lucas and Renzo for their phenomenal customer service. They both went above and beyond to make me the best sandwich I’ve had in Alameda. I had an earlier experience at at a different restaurant called Moseley’s where they served me cold broccoli on hummus served on warm toast. I walked out of that restaurant and specifically came to the Savoy Market for their customer service.

This is a nice place to have coffee have a pastry and visit with a friend or to get to know somebody. Has a variety of health b foods and other products. There's also a butcher you need to get some dinner quickly. I'm glad they replace the old grocery store and updated it and have a nice place for people to go and a nice place for people to work at. Thank you

Small footprint but wonderful selection of items. And, really friendly staff. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area, and even might go out of my way to do so

I love this store. Their deli on the weekends makes amazing sandwiches. The store is always clean, and everything is nicely organized. Staff is very friendly too!

Tasty sandwiches, and a solid neighborhood grocery store with a variety of options for snacks to grocery shopping.

Open airy and clean facility, friendly staff , well displayed items in a clean new space. Very inviting coffee bar and staff of same are front and center as you enter to greet you.

Lovely place with nice staff. That said they just don’t stock much grocery / convenience wise and are very-very expensive.

Really great selection of food and local products. Nice little area to have coffee with games to play. Will be back to try the coffee & sandwiches!

Awesome selection of natural products and will go back for coffee and look around more. Found great seedy bread made in Alameda! Very helpful too.
