Great place to ride or dirt bikes. Plenty of roads and trails. Plus not crowded at all.

I did a overnight motocamping and it was good. A little road noise from I-70, but with earplugs you can get a good night sleep

Boondocking on designated sites. Spaced out for privacy. Clean up after yourself to keep it nice. Thanks to previous campers Our site was Clean. Btw no fires. Also remember don’t leave paper in the fire pits. Not a trash can. Love the panoramic view

Great camping area and trails right next to it. I’m here in the off season and the only one here. I have a Class A RV and had no issues on the dirt roads.

Nice spot for a quick overnight when driving though the area. Most of the sites are quite uneven, but the large lot just past sites 5-6 was flat and had lots of room for rugs of all sizes. It was quiet on a Sunday night, but I’m sure it’s quite busy on weekends.

Free, safe, off highway camping if your not afraid of the out doors. Love this place. In the evening we saw antelope and jack rabbits and woke up to prairie dogs. So cool. #vanlife !!

It's remote, FREE, and wild. No services, but what a great stop if you've got toilet and water onboard.

Still under redevelopment so had the place to myself. New picnic tables and what looks like gonna be horse stalls.
Didn't see any fire rings so didn't have a fire.
Brand new unisex pit toilet.
NO running water
NO Power

We camp here a lot when passing through. Some very nice secluded dispersed sites with fire rings and tables scattered in high desert terrain. Free. No water.
Some of the access roads to the remote sites can be rough for low clearance and larger rigs, and a muddy nightmare when wet.

Lot of ohv and dirt bike activity sometimes. Some world class mountain bike single track too.

Beautiful place to camp! Camped in our subaru outback and booked as soon as we got there. Not a problem reserving on labor day weekend

The designated camping spots along Rabbit Valley Rd are ideal for the larger rv's. When you pull off of the interstate and turn south, within 1/4 mile is the entrance to the McInnis Canyons Conservation area. For camping, there is a self registration kiosk to fill out. Continue another 1/4 to 3/8ths mile and turn left on Rabbit Valley Rd. There are designated camping spots along the next 2 to 3 miles; to include a larger group camping location.

Currently (January 2023), the group camping is under improvement projects. The area has several road improvement type machines, as well as wooden stakes all around the location. I didn't see a closed sign for the group area, but I would say that is implied (with the exception of using the pit toilet there.

WARNING: most of these designated camping spots are on the south, downhill side of Rabbit Valley Rd. It had been raining the day I arrived, and was exceptionally muddy. I picked a site that appeared to dry. I did walk the site and only had a millimeter of sinking with my shoes. When the 19000 lbs of truck and trailer pulled in, all traction was lost. So, this was the spot I was going to have to stay. I was fortunately able to move my truck when I unhooked the travel trailer. The following day, I drove the truck back and forth so as to pack down the 1 inch deep very slick clay material. The next day, that compacted area had dispersed water puddles all around my tracks (ground water seepage). The day after that, I hooked up and departed before sunrise so as to take advantage of the more frozen ground (within an hour after sunrise, the surface dirt thaws and is slick again).

During our stay, we hiked on the dirt roads, as well as bushwacked across the grasslands to get to the Colorado River. 48 hours after the rain, the dirt roads were all very muddy, as well as the grasslands area. So, be careful!

Very private, quiet at night. Bathrooms are not directly at the camp site, but walkable.

Free! Bathrooms are clean, but no sinks. Standard campground, picnic table, soft gravel area for tents and a fire pit. Super windy the night I stayed so I had to put rocks in the corners of my tent to keep it from flying away. Highly recommend!! Right off the interstate for travellers.

Free camping right off the interstate! This place is great if you’re headed to or from Moab, or in your way through CO at all. Close to Fruita and GJ. Tons of room and area for camping either in your car or tent, or RV or whatever. Super nice views. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to camp for free. We came in the night and it was a little confusing but just read the boards and you'll be fine. There are multiple camp sites for rv or tent. We camped with a tent and it was great. The tent spots were sand so it was comfortable. The views are also amazing. We will be coming back.

They've upgraded and there are now fire rings and new posts and borders around some of the camping spots. Looks really nice. And the trails are fun and go for miles.
