Gabriele helped me get my medication strait with my insurance within 5 minutes after two days of complete negligence and failure to produce any results at the CVS on West Broad street where I had been for the past three years. I merely waited ten to fifteen minutes afterwards and my medication was ready. The line was long but it didn't matter because it moved quickly. Isaac immediately assisted me and got the medication followed up with a face to face communication with the actual pharmacist himself who then filled another prescription within the following five minutes. I wish I had gotten the pharmacist name and next time I will do that so I can update my review. I am so pleasantly surprised with the service, kindness, and genuine understanding of the associates at this WalMart pharmacy on Lucy Lane!

Honestly the best and most efficient pharmacy around. Was scared to come here because I don’t like going into Walmart bc of its chaos but the pharmacy is so well ran and organized I am so glad I switched.

I love them. Been getting my medications, my children's, and so forth for almost 4 yeara now. Never an issue, and usually ready in abouy an hour. (So to the person complaining about an hour, it's an HOUR! Considering how many meds they have to fill on a daily - which I'm sure is A LOT - I'd say they work rather quickly and efficiently at getting ur meds out!)

Also, the pharmacist sounds like he was doing HIS job, as well. He went to school to know proper dosage of certain meds, and how much is TOO MUCH, and so forth. And just like the snappy know-it-all stated in a previous comment, don't always except the first answer - which sounds like, what the pharmacist was doing. Based off of his training and schooling in the field of meds, and correct dosage, and what not, it sounds like the pharmacist wasn't going to not question concerns about the dosage with the doc. Sounds like the pharmacist was doing just that! His JOB!

The lines can be a little long but so many people use this pharmacy. The staff are so helpful and kind. Even when my credit card was being weird they didn’t judge they just helped me get the Walmart app to pay.

Unbelievable! Dr. Faxed a prescription to this pharmacy. Pharmacy did not have medications to fill entire Rx. DID NOT call Dr. back with this information. Prescription was marked critical and yet they failed to inform Dr. ALSO...the woman behind the counter, who information me she had been there 30 years, seemed not to be able to read or understand the fax sent by the Doctor. She had me re-write my name on a piece of paper....what?? She may not have been able to read??This medication was faxed in by a Veterinarian so I guess they don't hold veterinarians in high regard and don't think those RX are important. The actual pharmacist said they are to busy to bother calling the Doctors about such things as medications being out of stock. I say FIRE this bunch and hire people that act want to do the job!

Pharmacist playing Doctor...

On 05/08/2018, my doctor prescribed a refill of the same medication I've been taking for quite some time. After waiting a while for the prescription to be filled, I called the pharmacy, as I normally do, to see if it was ready to be picked up. Whoever answered the phone informed me that there was an issue with my medication, said the pharmacist would be contacting my doctor, & told me to call back tomorrow. Okay, not a problem. I wasn't thinking anything of it at that point because there have been times in the past when the pharmacist simply wanted to confirm everything with my doctor for insurance purposes. On 05/09/2018, I called the pharmacy around 11 AM to see if whatever the situation was had been taking care of. When I was told that nothing had been done because they were waiting for me to contact the doctor & then my doctor contact them back, I asked to speak to the pharmacist himself in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue...My first question was why was I told he would be contacting my doctor if I was expected to? He had no answer for that. My second question was quite simple: What's the problem with my prescription? The Pharmacist's answer was, "I'm refusing to fill this prescription because the dosage is too high & you need to be weaned off of it." Say what now? My doctor has been prescribing this specific medication in this specific dosage for a reason. (Just a quick background into why I'm on certain medications: I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which is a form of Muscular Dystrophy & I deal with chronic pain on a 24/7 basis because of complications that can't be corrected surgically.) Already being in pain & having my prescription delayed because the pharmacist decided to play doctor put me in a rather short & snappy mood to say the least, so I called my doctor's office & explained what was going on to the nurse (she is such a sweetheart & always makes me feel better whenever I have questions or problems, but that going to be in a completely different review - with significantly more stars). This is when the situation becomes a bit comical, at least in my opinion. As I was telling the nurse that the pharmacist was refusing to fill my prescription because the dosage was too high, she started chuckling & without missing a beat asked the rhetorical question, "Is he a Pharmacist or a Doctor?" She then comforted me by saying, "He's not your physician & he isn't the one who has spent time getting to know you as a patient & a person. There is nothing to worry about because he can't dictate what the doctor wants you to take." About an hour later, she called me back to let me know that she had spoken with the pharmacist & wasn't impressed, but the situation had been taken care of. My doctor called the pharmacy himself & within 2 hours of that happening, I had my prescription & finally some relief from the pain (the pain is never completely gone, but tolerable most of the time with proper medication).

Always Look on the Bright Side: Even though it can be quite frustrating when someone with a certain job tries (using the word "tries" very loosely) to do a different job in which they have absolutely no business doing, being persistent pays off. We, as customers, don't have to simply accept the answers given to us, ESPECIALLY when it comes to our health & well-being.

Poor service and it takes an hour for a prescription to be filled no matter if it’s called in by a doctor or yourself or even if you take it in there . So 15 min
Is not so at least not for my family
