Heather is a fabulous artist and teacher! She invited my daughter’s Girl Scout troop into her studio for an origami workshop. The girls made Christmas swans and giant snowflakes. My daughter LOVED it and can’t wait to teach our family. 💚

Heather, owner of Ethotera Art Studio gave my daughter and I a knowledge enriched opportunity to expand on a passion we all share, art. My daughter (8) and I began taking private lessons last year, as soon as we moved to Ocean Springs, to be able to bond and build on our relationship, you know, mom and daughter stuff. What we didn’t expect was how much we would actually learn! We accidentally stumbled upon one of the south’s most amazing art teachers. We have learned techniques like shading, graphing, proportions, and have been dabbling in jewelry making, collages, block stamping, and painting. I don’t see an end to our lessons. We thoroughly enjoy it and Heather is just such a wonderful teacher/ friend. She’s knowledgeable in so many categories and always has something new to share with us. I highly recommend treating yourself to lessons and/or the several workshops she provides at her studio! I’ll share some photos of our projects and of us learning enameling, stamp blocks, and drawing technique.

Heather is a talented teacher! I took a drawing class and left with a resulting great pencil portrait drawing. Great for beginners or for people who have been drawing and want to expand their skill set. If you have any interest in developing your creativity, this is a great place to start. Highly recommended!

Love the new location, the space the students have to move and breathe and interact makes ethotera an even more inviting space to create within. Heather is great as always—as an artist and a teacher—and her husband has added some neat finishing touches on the place. Don’t hesitate to visit and/or enroll here. It’s also super convenient—parking and access.

10/10 would recommend taking any art class from Heather at her studio. We hosted my family of 8 and did the block printing class. She was super responsive and helped my family and I have an excellent experience! For anyone coming out of town this a true Ocean Springs art activity to do!
