Sydney Cafe Thayer

Came here for lunch today and tried the savory toast w/fried egg and the macarons. Both are stellar! I'll definitely be craving the toast over and over.

They have a lot of options on the drink menu that I'd like to try next time I come.

Service was quick and staff were friendly. Restaurant is clean and bright and a nice place to sit during my break.

The coffee was incredibly warm and delicious especially since it was around 30s outside when we visited.
Loved the food. Liked the coffee.
Will definitely be back.
Place is pet friendly too.

This is a perfectly lovely coffee shop with fast wifi, adequate seating, breakfast options, and yummy cold brew. I worked remotely here while in Providence and found it ideal for my needs (it would have been too loud for meetings, FYI, lots of Brown students milling about).

The breakfast sandwich, though delicious, needed a fork/knife to eat because it was so messy. But I persevered!

Super cozy and the woman at the counter was lovely :)

As a Brown student, Sydney is the best place I want to stay in for the quiet working time.

Sur place l’ambiance est très studieuse calme avec une petite musique jazz que j’ai adorée. Le chai latte au « oat milk » est délicieux. Et le macaron chocolat un délice ! Les prix sont très corrects pour les US.

The food and staff are very nice but I got a coffee and it was so hot I got an extremely bad burn in my mouth even after waiting a few minutes to drink it. Not sure the temp they steam the milk to but PLEASE lower it. This has to be the worst mouth burn Ive ever gotten from a hot drink.

Overall great service and ok drip coffee but mostly was just disappointed that all drinks, even if “for here,” are only served in disposable cups

The person at the counter said the almond croissant isn't filled with almond cream, just almond favored. I got a butter croissant instead, which was heated without asking. It wasn't flaky, more like a hot buttery dinner roll.

The only other time I went here we got really burnt cappuccinos and the person taking orders was eating at the counter.. :/

Its too bad because the atmosphere is great for working.

Coffee is burnt and the pastries and dry. It’s a fine place to work
