Excellent diner food and great service. Exactly what we were looking for after driving all day.

Good food, great service. Very friendly staff. Cookies and brownies are giant and delicious.
2019-July: had another good meal. Salad, grilled cheese, tornado fries, and mashed potatoes were amazing. The cod and perch were a little over cooked, and on the dry tough side. They breading is ligt, so I think they would also be amazing if cooked right. Staff was still very friendly and gave great service. Still a great place to eat.

Short handed staff but oh so much comforting food! Not one thing is small or unflavored! Try the giant cookies! French dip or meat loaf! Yum one of my favorite date nights! Be patient and you won't be disappointed!

The hubby and I usually get breakfast but we decided to try lunch today. I got the BLT wrap with the side winder fries. So so good! My husband got the patty melt and he really enjoyed it as well. Each meal was 13.99 and the portions were good. The service was great as usually. We will be back within the next few weeks for sure!

They were busy and accommodated our group in a side room. Did not expect that. Previously we just pushes a couple tables together. Good food. What am I saying GREAT food. I really liked the big windows that let in so much light.

We've stopped here a few times over the years as we pass through Rose City, and we really enjoy the food here. Great quality and the portions are big. On this trip we had the fish and it was excellent. I had the Whitefish dinner and my wife had the fish sandwich. Pictures attached. We can't recommend this place enough whether you're local or travelers like us.

We found this place by chance years ago. This is top notch home cooking. The staff is always friendly and the food is always on point. But beware... They get busy sometimes because it's such a good place to eat. Definitely recommend.

Took a rainy day ride North for lunch after seeing Cafe on Internet. Owner welcomed us as we went in, Waitress was excellent, restaurant was extremely clean. Lunch came in a timely manner and portions were amazing, and very tasty. Will definitely stop again , and tell everyone how wonderful our experience was. Thanks to all at Rose City,MI Cafe!

I love this place great food, friendly, and it just feels comfortable.

They were absolutely slammed today due to a major power outage, but the staff was wonderful! Hustling around providing amazing service to everyone there. Turning the tables over quickly to get everyone served. Fantastic job!!

We stopped in for breakfast and ordered two different omletes with their homemade whole wheat toast. Everything was fantastic. We were still talking about how good it was a few days later.

Good food, fast and polite service, very reasonable prices, good value. We would go again in the future.

Our waitress Wendy was great. Very helpful and helped for a great experience. The food was home made and very delicious. And the cheese cake was amazing.

After reading some reviews, I was hesitant. But I'm so glad we came to Rose City Cafe!

My husband and I stopped here on a Monday morning on our way back to the Detroit area after camping in Rogers City.

First impression: Parking was plentiful. The restaurant was well maintained, very clean, homey. Bathrooms were nice. (I'm picky about cleanliness.) They make their own baked goods - and let me tell you we were head over heels after tasting the molasses cookie.

My husband ordered the Irish Omelette with a side of rye toast. The rye toast was incredible--huge pieces, served with a delightful home made jam.

I had the messy monster bowl with a side of biscuits. It was delicious!!

They kept our coffees full and the waitress Sarah was so kind.

So glad we stopped!

They were busy it was a Sunday. We did not have a long wait. Food was ok had scrambled eggs they had a greasy taste. Pancakes were great. Nice place to stop on way home.

The food at Rose City Cafe is very good. I've eaten there many times when my boss and our crew came in for lunch while in the Rose City, West Branch area. The service is really good also. They are always friendly hosts and they are always there to help any customers when they need it. The atmosphere is very calm and quiet, even with a packed dining area. It's a Great place to eat with Great service and a calm, normally quiet atmosphere. I recommend Rose City Cafe to anyone and everyone whether they are just passing through or live in the area.
