Reading the menu will make you drool, but when you get there and the menu comes to life it DOES NOT disappoint.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the menu items are gorgeously presented, the desserts and coffees are delicious, heck we even loved the pretty water glasses we drank out of.

They have multiple gluten free options and multiple types of gluten free bread. Our two appetizers were made on gluten free bread and you could not even tell the difference.

** Bring wine. Bring Prosecco. They have the juices to make a mimosa or a bellini on their menu.

Stopped in for some good eats, and good eats is what we got! We tried the Roman Bruschetta, Tiramisu French Toast, Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and The Grumpy - rustic hero. Everything was delicious and the servers were warm and friendly. They made sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Went for lunch on Friday afternoon. Started with some caffeine, a "Dirty Chai", then some brussel sprouts, and one of the days specials, a cheese steak. All was excellent. Can not wait to try their breakfast.

This was my first time there and I will definitely be back! The first thing that hit me was that there were so many great choices on the menu.It was difficult to narrow down to what I was going to order. The dishes were very creative and excellently executed. I ended up having the fig grilled cheese which was delicious and don't miss the brussel sprouts which to me were the highlight of the meal! My friend, visiting from Chicago had the lemon french toast and raved about it! The presentation was absolutely beautiful! I really enjoyed the caramel latte as well! I can't wait to go back and try the Bombalone! Service was warm and friendly and the atmosphere was intimate & cozy! What a great find!

This place the BEST food in Hillsborough. The fresh ingredients are amazing. Owners are super nice and care about the town and serving the beat food !

My wife and I ate here on Sat. 4/20 and everything from the setting to food / service were excellent. We recognized the name from when they were in Raritan and we glad to check it out not knowing they had moved in Oct. Friendly greeting, amazing food & nice size portion.

Today I enjoyed a delightful brunch experience at Cafe Basilico. The ambiance was inviting, and the service was exceptional. The menu offered a diverse selection, and the food was both delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying the Nutella Waffle it was a standout! Overall, a fantastic brunch spot worth visiting.

Went here for lunch. This place is amazing! I loved everything! Such unique flavors to choose from. Not your typical food. I had the cheesesteak. I’ve never had one as good as this one. It also came with fries that were cooked perfectly & not greasy! I shared the brussel sprouts, We ended our meal with the pistachio cake. This is definitely a great place that I will go to again& again!

My son comes here from Oregon, and the first thing he wants to do it go here, and we went back again the next day! The food is incredible, you can choose either a healthy option or something wonderfully indulgent. They have the BEST avocado toast ever, and the french toast with cannoli filling, OMG! Kari is an absolute doll- don't miss this place, its such a treat and wonderful addition to Hillsborough!

FLAVOR: If you're looking for the perfect sit down breakfast/brunch spot, Hillsborough wins with this addition here!!! This place is hands down some of the best flavored food offered in town! Beautiful choices like deep creamy burrata cheese and sweet pops of pomegranate pearls over the perfectly toasted sourdough... just one example of the types of flavors you'll get here.

ATMOSPHERE: With super cute and clean vibes, this chicly designed cove is perfect for a brunch out with the ladies or a little date breakfast 😍

SERVICE: Very personal and home feeling care is given by these owners and you can feel it when you walk in the door. They genuinely want you to enjoy your tasty delights and prepare it and serve it with you in mind. Even the glasses for drinks are unique and create a special experience!

Cafe Basilico is what hillsborough has been missing all along. The food is phenomenal, service outstanding, and their specials out of this world. One of the best places for dine in or takeout!

Cafe Basilico is such a gem. The food is excellent and the atmosphere and service are great. I’ve had several menu items and specials, each one is better than the last. Go now, you won’t be disappointed.

Had the Buffalo Chicken and Waffles, very interesting take on savory and sweet. Would definitely get that again. The wait for food was a bit longer than expected, but recently opened is understandable. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Incredible food and atmosphere! Love the variety of menu items, perfect whether you are in the mood for brunch or lunch. And you can’t beat byob for make your own mimosas and Bellinis!

The sandwich that I had at Cafe Basilico was the best .bite of food I've had in Hillsborough. Oh, and the fries that came with it were a 10/10. Can't wait to return. Amazing!

What a great new addition to Hillsborough. The food was delicious and generously proportioned. I loved the fun takes on classics. For example the bruschetta is served on thick
Sliced bread with Buratta and the Greek Salad has white beans and farro. So good! Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Just had lunch at Cafe Basilico, and based on one experience (plus the intriguing menu), it is a great addition to Hillsborough’s food options. Great ingredients, well executed - can’t wait to go back.

Amazingly delicious food!! Every time I go in, I have a new favorite. Try the Fritatas, tiramisu French toast and grilled cheese !!!
