Blue Bonnet Cafe

Boise City, Kansas. Quaint, generous and and tasty! We were told to sit where we wanted and I headed one way and my husband the other. I joined him when I noticed but the local farmers here pointed out with a big grin that "She said we could sit where we wanted" (even if it were two separate booths.) The high school across the street has 80 kids... 1500 people in the whole county. The waitress says the same farmers come in for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner. She knows what they order every day so puts in the order as they drive up.

Excellent breakfast experience. 2 pork chop 2 egg breakfast w/hashbrowns extra crisp. Made to my specifications.

I try to time my drive with a meal time at the blue bonnet. I have had breakfast and lunch here a few times. I have enjoyed my meals here.

This visit we stayed overnight near by. I had a traditional breakfast. Sausage, eggs, hash browns and toast.

All was very good. The hash browns were very crispy.

Extremely fast service. Patty melt plate was good. We will stop back in again as we come through here often

My husband and I stopped in here almost 2 years ago. It was totally awesome. I had the chicken fry, he had the chicken strips (when the food is that good, you remember)! Real pan gravy, real potatoes, tender steak and the chicken wasn't dry.
The waitress was awesome.
We were going to go back, but I lost my husband in September. Now I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm sorry.

This is a great local place to go for breakfast. Very friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, and great food for an incredibly reasonable price (less than $15 for two of us). It was a little slow, but we weren't in a rush so that wasn't a problem.

Went 2 days in row for breakfast. One large party 1st day and next day smaller party of people. Service was excellent and food was very good for a very reasonable price. I will go back.

Great Chicken Fried Steak! Friendly and affordable. My girls enjoyed their burger and side salads. I love supporting small businesses like this.

Go by and see Karen and the crew when you are in Boise City. I usually get the lunch special, which has a main dish, sides, desert - the whole deal. This is a good sit-down, non- fast-food dining option for Cimarron County.

Always good, and fresh! I recommend the chicken fried steak. Its a special on Friday's served with corn and mash tators

Nice honey atmosphere. Food was good. The waitress was very nice. We enjoyed it.

This little cafe is a great find. Their green chili is a specialty you should have on burgers and chicken-fried steak.

A great local treat, especially the jalapeño gravy over chicken fried steak.

Blue Bonnet is a great friendly & clean cafe. I always enjoy eating there when I come home to visit my mom.
