Dr Tichy is wonderful. Resourceful and great with animals, she has helped our pets with care and compassion. The whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable. When our old cat passed away, everyone at AVC was so kind. When we later got this kitten we knew just where to take her for care. For new companions to senior pets and beyond, we’re so happy to have AVC in Damariscotta!

Dr. Tichy is a very skilled and caring veterinarian. She takes her time with both of my dogs when we come in. The clinic is clean and welcoming. The staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I found all of the staff to be kind and caring people.

I am so happy I found Atlantic Veterinary Care! We came from a fear-free facility out west and had struggled to find similar care locally. The staff at AVC were so accommodating and took notes of how to keep my pup comfortable. After an especially nervous visit they sent her out with a tennis ball, her favorite, to keep her relaxed. They respond to concerns and questions quickly, and every single interaction has been friendly and welcoming. Please read the signs when you arrive and be patient, the staff there deserve it! Dr. Tichy and her team are the best! We couldn't ask for a better group. Their compassion, friendliness and humor is so genuine. They act like our pets are the best things they have seen all day. They know them really well and make their experience as pleasant as possible. When our dog passed away at home, they handled him as if he was the most precious dog in the world. They knew him well and loved him too. When we brought him in to prepare for transport for cremation, one of the techs suggested keeping his blanket with him so he would have "something familiar with him." How truly amazing is that? Just a wonderful place. My daughter's dog was very sick and old and it was "time." Dr. Tichy squeezed us in at the end of the day. She was so gentle and sweet, offered for us to stay with her after as long as we needed, even though it was way past hours. Such genuine care and cmpassion.We really love Dr. Tichy and her whole team.

This vet clinic came recommended to me by a friend and I could not be happier! Having just moved here from WA, I was hopeful to find a vet office who felt welcoming and gave me the time to talk through my giant dope’s needs. Dr Tichy and her staff did just that! Thank you all so much!

This is a great veterinary clinic. Dr. Tichy and her staff are warm, knowledgeable, and pleasant, and our pets respond to them well. They have gotten us through a number of emergencies (an encounter with a porcupine, for one) and were there for us when we had to say good bye to one of our cats. I highly recommend Atlantic Veterinary Clinic.

They are truly AMAZING! Dr. Tichy is the best bet ever. I have trusted her with my dogs for MANY years. I travel two hours to get to her and I'd travel further if needed. She is one in a million!!

Excellent service. Dr. Tichy is highly skilled and professional. The office is so popular that you need to make appointments at least a week in advance.

Dr Tichy and her staff are truly angels on earth. I have never had a vet care so much as Karin. She has been with our Kodiak since he was a puppy 8 years ago and was with him at his death recently. I would go no where else, EVER. I tried a vet closer (Dr Tichy is over an hour and a half drive for us). I RAN back to Dr Tichy and will never leave. She and her staff are caring, compassionate and human.
She has diagnosed issues others couldn't find. She diagnosed a heart issue on Kody. When he was taken to Tufts University Vet hospital for DM treatment (ALS) they missed the heart condition and missed her notes STATING the condition and lost Kody on the anesthesia table twice!! THEN they heard the heart issue.....almost too late!! Dr Tichy TAKES THE TIME to REALLY listen and she REALLY cares!!!
I would tell EVERYONE who has a pet that they care about and want the BEST care, call Dr Tichy. LOVE THIS VET AND ALL THE STAFF!! THANK YOU ALL for helping us through Kody's illness and passing!
