Mac's Corner Cafe

I patron this place frequently since I work just across the street at Spring Valley Wireless. I have not yet ordered anything off of their menu and thought it was horrible. They serve up great tasting down home food and the service has always been friendly. They do employ a lot of young teens to run the place which is awesome because they do a great job for the most part and I am sure that it is a great learning experience for them in customer service. This place has also become the new date night place for the wife and I when we are in a hurry because we got to get to the movie within 30 mins. She loves the food too by the way and she tends to be a bit of a picky eater. In summation Mac's is Carroll's best kept secret!

Stopped on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. My Mother & I are from Spencer & my Son is from Ames, Carroll is about 1/2 way to meet.
I looked up good places to eat in Carroll on the internet. Mac's has a 4 1/2 star rating! My Mother had her favorite a hot roast beef sandwich that was huge & amazing! A French dip that my son said was the best he had ever had and I had a turkey, bacon ranch wrap that was wonderful! My Mothers day was made when she discovered they had what she calls hard ice cream in a sugar cone! Thanks for the fabulous food, we will stop again!

Love the food! One of our favorite breakfast picks and great smoothies! Frozen yogurt and topping bar is awesome but a bit expensive.

Breakfast and lunch specials are very good, price is a little high but this is your best option for "thinking outside the box" place for breakfast, lunch, and Starbucks. Price right where Starbucks is with food and drinks, but most likely at the level or close to where Starbucks is for Carroll, IA.

The hot beef sandwich is phenomenal. I would love to eat here again, and the pricing is quite competitive

Wonderful place, I ate at lunch at grabbed a seat right away and had the food in a few minutes. The french dip was wonderful.
