I didn't even know that this store existed until I looked it up. I had been traveling from Columbia Heights all the way to Virginia for my dog food. Today I came here to pick-up the Hills Science Diet for healthy mobility for my beat friend Archi! While I was roaming the aisles I also got him a peanut butter filled chew bone, as well as, a pack of beef tendon sticks. He absolutely loves those. I could have kept on shopping here because this store has a myriad of things you can buy for your pet. It was great finding this store here today!

The cashier / retail staff is always so kind and patient. It’s nice to see them actively helping out customers and they were kind enough to hold onto a bag of Guinea pig food that I urgently needed as another business canceled my order with it!

My partner and I had an amazing experience, with the animal manager of this location! She was friendly, energetic and had a genuinely warm and caring attitude.
The store was clean, neat and everything was in its place. We found exactly what we needed(and things we didn't really need, to my partner's dismay 😋), for the cockatiel we bought, from a breeder. We had bought TWO parakeets from this business, not even a couple of months ago and we couldn't be happier with our pets, or the store and its crew.
I highly recommend this store and its crew, for a very caring and unique experience.
Unlike most places, it's more than just about money. It's the welfare and quality of the pets they sell, and the professionalism of this business, that really stands out.

I would give this location 4 stars. Clean out the dead fish in the tanks. But, the employee who helped me deserves 5 Stars! Miguel was great! He was eager, enthusiastic and knowledgeable! He went out of his way to help with my purchase AND it was 15 minutes before closing! Thanks Miguel!

Lovely store staff member whos name started by “d” a lovely black american guy (i dont want to mispronounce his name) helped me buy a carrier while i was in a hurry to take my cat to a vet, he was very energetic and kind answered all of my questions and suggested me great items at this store i would say he deserves a raise , keep it up! Thank him again for me

Shop here all the time for our kitty. The cashier lady is always friendly and making sure we take advantage of all the coupons available. She definitely cares about us and it shows!

The employees are very friendly and they have just about everything you can think of.

Did the Adult Level 1 dog training and had a fantastic experience. Jen is an experienced trainer who really understands dogs. In general, the staff in the store are super friendly and helpful.

Petco is the ONLY place near me(Hyattsville MD) that sells Acana dog food

The associate that helped me today took soo much of her time to make SURE she got me 50 crickets. They were down to barely any, and she put so much work into making sure I had what I need, and I really appreciate that. Also whenever I come to this store the staff is super nice and helpful, and I really like the vibe. Definitely gonna keep coming here.

My son and I love, love, love this store. We are here every week doing a fish tank water sample test. The manager Donnell in the fish dept. Is very nice, helpful. knowledgeable, and professional. He and the staff are always ready to help you in any way. It a fun store to shop.

We casually visited this store and left with the best impression. The nice cashier seemed sincerely interested in learning about our puppy and gave us some great tips about the excessive chewing. We regret not asking her name, she was a nice African American lady. Thank you!

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The store is big, nice, and clean.

Good customer service. Lots of pet supplies, good selection. I Found a great buy in a dog bed in clearance for $12. marked down from$49.00. The sales assistant (sorry I did not get her name) was great. She checked prices until we found this gem..... Great Work...
Had my dog groomed and they did a great job....However, I think it was too pricey 🤑🤑🤑🤑

I did a puppy training class with Jen and she is an excellent trainer. She understands dog behavior and how to use positive training to get results. My puppy started off hating going into the store and by the end she was dragging me in because she was so excited to go to class. I highly recommend taking training classes with Jen.
