Outstanding customer service! They offer free painting class for noobs. We did it today and it was fun and informative (and free). The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and has a passion for the game. We learned a lot and have probably begun a new hobby. 😀

love the place, tobias is the man. great store with an incredible community that makes me feel appreciated, especially as a (relatively) new player. my one issue is that it’s a relatively big shop, and with the amount of people who play, there should be another table or two. i get a little frustrated when i go in with my army, of which i’ve spent loads of money on, and end up standing and waiting around because there’s only 3 tables, one for AOS and 2 for 40k. would just appreciate more tables as the shop absolutely has room.

TLDR: This store acts as a great community hub for the Warhammer hobby. Buy, build, paint, and play the Warhammer Tabletop Games at home or at the store. Larry the store manager is helpful and friendly. My wife and I have had good experiences at this store.

My review: Although I have not kept up faithfully with the Warhammer hobby, hopefully this review will help someone to understand what I understand this store to be. I wouldn't just take my word for it--I would go find out for yourself.

Anyone looking to go to this store needs to keep in mind that the store is based on serving a niche hobby and community. It acts at the local center of community for people who are into the hobby--or for those interested in learning about Hobby. The lowest reviews I see on here are obviously trolling, and it isn't fair to give this store a negative review for it not being something it isn't meant to be.

My wife and I had gotten great customer service from the store manager, Larry. His enthusiasm and passion for the Warhammer hobby comes across clearly as he talks to you about it. I stared with an Eldar Army I had from back when I was a kid, and got my wife a Necron army. I have gotten to play matches of the tabletop wargame in store--shoutout to Cole for being a warm and welcoming member of the community.

This store in particular seems bigger than others, which is a good thing if you are looking to construct your models, paint them, or play matches in the store. Here are just three photos showing my inexperience with painting and highlighting a model I call "Chad".

My absolute go to for the hobby. Dan is the best at being helpful whether it's questions on paints, models, or army structure he will help. Can't recommend this store enough, but I wish there was more space to play. Wanting to play more aos but there just isn't the space since the place is always packed with fellow hobbyists playing as well. I wish there was more tables to play because it would help the store out and just having more games going is just better for the store as well. So 1/10 would go again

A great Warhammer hub, with the best selection out of any of the Warhammer stores in the Chicagoland area. It's a huge store and my only suggestion is that it definitely has room for another table or even two. As a returning player that has been learning the rules of the game with my own friend group for the first time since 5th edition over 12 years ago, I was very happy and impressed with the passion and helpfulness of the stores staff. I came in on a slower Sunday looking for a game against someone more experienced. With slim pickings, Tobias helped me out greatly by playing me in a 1,000 point game where I solidified some small rules questions my group had been having. It was a great game that was also infinitely helpful. Tobias was helpful, gregarious, and a fun person to play against. I also appreciated that while helpful and full of suggestions, he was not overbearing/annoying with trying to upsell me on things as much as some other GW employees that I've come across, which I give the largest customer service thumbs up I can to! Overall, great store, with the people that make it fanastic, I will definitely be back when I can, whenever I am in the area.

In regards to Andrews comment I’d just like to state a few things l. First of all, I was there that day and watched it all unfold. Alex was 100% in the wrong and the one who was argumentative and combative. Tobias 100% knows the rules of the game and is nothing but friendly. Please don’t let one kid with a know it all attitude turn you off to this store.

Tobias is the man. He’s great with modeling painting and gameplay advice. Super easy to get along with and knows the lore inside and out as well. The only issue I have is that because it’s a big store, a lot of people go durring the peak times. Then you look and see this huge store with only two tabletops to play 40K and only one to play AoS. 40K and AoS take a while to play, and it’s VERY frustrating to go in there and not be able to play after spending all that money building an army. It’s one thing if the store didn’t have to space, but it absolutely does. Nothing like standing there with another player, with $1,000 worth of minis you can’t even use, starring at open space that could be used.

I’ve been in the hobby for awhile. I always have a good time at the store!

Dan literally decided to kill off the sacrosanct chamber, bonesplitters, and beastmen from Age of Sigmar and it is a better game for it.

Dan Tobias, where can I start, like a previous review stated he is the disheveled dynamo of warhammer Naperville. He’ll tell you what to buy where to buy and how to buy. His painting teachings are great, he helped me go from a mediocre painter to slightly better. Stop in and talk with the disheveled dynamo of warhammer Naperville.

I have been going to this store for a couple of years now, and through it all, Larry has been there. He is a absolute pleasure to talk to and is more than willing to answer any questions you might have about the hobby, from the newest hobbyists to the veteran painters, I'm sure that Larry can teach you something. If you are just starting the hobby, I highly recommend this location!

Larry is there perfect person to run this place. He's knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and patient. Larry keeps the store looking great and I can't wait until lockdown lifts and we can get some games going in the store. If you're into Warhammer it's definitely worth the trip to meet Larry and support a local store.

This place is awesome, huge selection and prices are within online ranges. My daughter and I walked in on july 31 2022 and were immediately greeted and assisted. Forgot his name ( im not able to remeber names) but the employee there was very very helpful. We even got to build and paint our first models! Will definitely be going back! Highly recommend! Larry, the owner is very friendly. Great store for painting and playing. They have a great community. Made me feel included after my first visit. Best place to be.
