You already know what you're getting into with an all you can eat place, quantity over quality. I was not prepared for the sheer variety that was on offer. I managed to eat way more than my fill and I never even got the soup itself. Fried rice, sushi, skewers, dumplings, and more all served hot and fresh because you order from a tablet at the table, not just sitting in a buffet line. The staff were SUPER friendly and helpful; constantly available to clear dishes and refill drinks.
The price may scare people away, but if you want a LOT of good food, it's worth it.

The food is great! The set up is really fun. My family and I really liked ordering with the tablet. Everything was super delicious and fast. The service was great too! Very nice atmosphere. Clean and neat. We will be back for sure… they also have really honest fortune cookies ;)… the restaurant was not stinky (it was very clean, including the bathrooms) and the broth and sushi were amazing. That lady in the other review is 100% wrong!

Very good food, and the staff was very nice. I was not happy with the fact we asked for more broth for my husband 3 times (asked 2 different people) and we never did get it before we were done, but they were also very busy. I would recommend trays for carrying all the hot pot items to your table because it is hard to carry a bunch of small dishes back to your table, and maybe a kettle of water at each table in case you need more broth. But overall the food and service was amazing. Definitely worth the price, we ate so much sushi!

I can't say enough about FengHuo Hotpot Bbq and Sushi Buffet.
It is the most unique modern Asian dining experience in the Winchester/Shenandoah Valley area.
Everyone begins with the Hot Pot choice of starting broth/soup, then into the pantry to gather your ingredients. From seafood to chicken, beef, pork, vegetable it has some of the most wonderful standard and eclectic selections. I started with the seafood base adding shrimp, vegetables, quail eggs, white fish, clams, mussels, beef, rice noodles and broccoli from the pantry. It boils and cooks at your table. Salt provided to add to taste.
You mind the cook with the incorporated heating system in your table and serve when you feel it's ready. Every bit about the hot pot is fun and enjoyable. The restaurant made Base was perfect.
Watching the pot boil as we looked through the menu located on an iPad from which you order to your table. It's brilliant.we ordered sides, and sushi as the hot pot cooked. The result of the hot pot was brilliant. Flavorful, comforting, personalized the way I wanted. (Word from experience... let your bowl cool down before you rush in.)
The sushi was great. The selection is outstanding and presentation was excellent. The dipping sauces are plentiful and varied.
When you look at nearlyv$40 per adult charge (all inclusive) initially you think 'That's expensive." When you're there and the experience and food start kicking in, you realize it's the price you pay at any main restaurant in the area and everything about your meal is worth it. The amount of selection, quality and uniqueness of the food make everything so worthwhile. Kids are charged less. Drinks are extra and they don't gouge you for soft drinks like so many places do. Service is excellent.

My boyfriend and I have been anticipating the opening of this restaurant, and neither of us were disappointed. It was our first time ever having hot pot and the staff were so patient and understanding as they explained everything and walked us through the ingredients buffet area.
The selection of ingredients for the hot pot is really diverse and seemed to be good quality! Everything I added to my hot pot was delicious. Since you choose what to put into your own hot pot, you can really customize things to be just how you like them.
In addition, there are other options on the menu like sushi, spring rolls, appetizers, etc. that are unlimited and included in the buffet cost. Although it sounds a little pricey, I feel you truly get what you pay for and then some.
Finally, the staff were a delight and so kind to work with. They were very attentive and quick to clear away the excess dishes from the hot pot ingredients. Everyone was smiling and happy to help us at each stage of our meal.
Overall it was a really positive experience and I look forward to going back. If you're like us and have never tried hot pot, they'll do a great job of making you feel welcomed and informed!

Tried hot pot the day after Valentine's Day! I think the price or variety of food scares people. It's $35.99 per person but everything on the tablet is included! Sushi, hibachi favorites, apps, etc. We usually spend $100-$120 at Ichibans around Valentine's Day. I would recommend trays to carry your plates/bowls back to the table. Customer service was excellent and they helped explain how the experience worked. We'll return!

They clearly list the prices at the front of the locations to address those who have an issue with that. In addition, the variety of options is very impressive. I had the spicy broth with shrimp, white fish, beef, lo mein, and broccoli. The soup was great. Don’t pass up on the sauce station. Had four rolls of sushi and it was delicious. Food served quickly with excellent service. Never had hot pot before, I will be back.

My wife and I came here for dinner date the other day and really had a great time. Our host who greeted us very kindly and thoroughly explained the hotpot process to us and answered our questions very patiently.
The food itself was very nice and all the ingredients tasted fresh. I think I would have liked a bit more guidance on putting together a good dipping sauce for the hotpot. They have recipes posted on the sauce bar, though certain ingredients weren’t present.
The process of having hotpot was very novel and fun. I really enjoyed getting to choose my own ingredients. What’s more is that the price includes access to the full menu with no extra charge. The sushi that we ordered on the side was actually really good. And I don’t say that lightly, the sushi was good!
Overall the price per person was about $36 plus drinks. Sure I would prefer a lower price, but I felt that it was fair and justified, especially considering the full menu access.
This place is definitely one to return to.

Absolutely phenomenal experience all around!!

The food is fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. The variety of soup options is impressive without being too much. There's plenty of opportunities to try something new, or to stay relatively safe and have something like a chicken ramen. The soup bases (at least the chicken and mushroom that we tried) are delicious. Everything is very authentic and not Americanized. Don't forget to look at the iPad for hidden treasures from the kitchen like steamed custard buns and sushi!

The restaurant is very clean, which of course is always a concern with something like a buffet, but I had no worries. All dishes were spotless and clean as well.

Service was fantastic—very prompt and attentive, and exceptionally kind. Honestly, my favorite part was how relaxed the staff themselves were. It wasn't very busy on our Easter Sunday visit, so many of the staff were playing on their phones or chatting while waiting to be needed. Personally I love to see that, it means the employees are comfortable and treated well.

The only thing I would change would be the addition of trays to bring ingredients to and from your table, and having the sauces on the table instead of at the bar. It's difficult to adjust with any kind of precision when you have to walk back and forth.

Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to go back.

This was an amazing experience and a great concept for an oriental restaurant. If you've ever been to a hotpot this one is very different in the best way. It's a buffet!!! They bring out your broth of choice and you go to the buffet room and pick out your meat, veggies and more. The sushi comes with the price you'll just need to order them right at your table from an iPad that's provided. Their selection is very diverse and fits any palate. If you've never been to a hotpot you cook your own food in the broth of your choice at a hot plate right in front of you. My son's have been to a similar place and they recommend you cook all of your food first then if you like Ramen or other noodles then cook them last in the broth with all of the flavor you've built up. Mine was amazing!!! Try spicing up your broth with some sauces, spices, and veggies before you start cooking. It is a very expensive meal but, in my opinion, it's very well worth it. I only put 4 stars on the atmosphere only because their dining room was very plain but that didn't take away from how much fun we had and how delicious the food is. If you don't like the food after your visit it's really your own fault.

It's a lot of fun, very friendly and attentive staff.

Pretty clean and on the cheaper end of some of the Hot Pot places I've visited before. The all you can eat sushi aspect is amazing as well. The price tag is still a little high but there is a lot to offer.

Classic hot pot experience, with extras!! If someone in your party isn’t a huge fan of hot pot, they’ve got sushi and hibachi items. The beef hibachi items were very tough but still good! Staff are all very friendly and attentive. Will for sure be returning with some hot pot newbies 👍👍

This place is definitely the most fun and exciting dining experience I have ever had!

The process is really straightforward and the everything is included but drinks concept is really unique and works well. It gives you a way to try an enormous variety of food. Everything you need for the hot pot and desert are all in the one room with the coolers and everything else you could want is only a few taps away on the iPad.

The party I was with entered a little nervous and overwhelmed but quickly picked up how easy it is to get your ingredients or order the extras (hibachi, fried appetizers, or sushi). I would recommend giving yourself a decent amount of time for your visit because there are so many things to sample. Most items ordered from the iPad come in a small individual sized portion which is excellent for sampling things.

Overall it is a great experience and well worth the price!

The experience was nice, the restaurant was very clean, almost immaculate, you could eat off the floors. The service was okay but towards the end we felt rushed and if I’m spending $85 don’t rush me, that’s was my only issue. The choices were spectacular and very neatly put together, I bought my daughter and I don’t recommend because of the hot plates if they’re busy like my toddler. It’s so cozy in a cold day, and refreshing! Overall the experience was lovely, and I would will coming back 9 out of 10 !!!

Hello! This is Fenghuo hotpot bbq and sushi buffet. We’ve heard some reviews about a sort of fish smell towards our restaurant. After a bit of searching, we finally found the reason. We have a sauce in our sauce bar in which releases a fish smell throughout our restaurant. From now on we’ll be keeping the sauce in a bottle which will be located in our sauce bar. We thank you for those who brought concern to our restaurant and we hope to fix all other problems that you encounter. We hope you continue to review our restaurant, whether I’ll be good or bad, and we will continue to improve what we can.

For the people saying, "I can cook this at home", sure... you could. But with the quantity and variety they offer, you'd easily be spending 150 dollars at the grocery store in ingredients alone. 35 dollars IS CHEAP! This place is comparable to all other hot pot places we've gone to in D.C and New York.

You don't have to wait for the hot pot ingredients to come out, you grab them when you want, as often as you want. Everything is fresh! For everything non-hot pot related, refer to the iPad menu. They don't have all their stuff up yet, as it looks like they have a covered grill for when they bring BBQ to the menu.

The staff is super friendly, patient and helpful. I'm not a fan of the sweetness of sticky rice, so I asked the staff for plain. They deliver, everytime! If one of your food items doesn't come out, always ask. Sometimes they sell out of things. If the iPad doesn't send your bill request in a few minutes, just simply ask for one of the waiters to bring your bill.

Do not let the negative reviews deter you. Try it for yourself. PLEASE support this place, we need new and exciting stuff here. I'm scared because it's in the mall, and we all know how many places fail when they're set up at the mall.... let's keep this place open! I'll be telling all my DC and NoVa friends.

Service was 10/10 everyone was kind and attentive. The food was fresh and it was amazing. The experience of the hot pot is fun and I really enjoyed it. Don’t eat prior to going so you can take advantage of all you can eat because you will get full fast.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The spicy hot pot soup was amazing with practically endless ingredients you can add. There is a slight learning curve with ordering food, but once you figure it out it is absolutely easy-to-use and you dont have to wait for the server to come by to order. You can select anything on the tablet menu and send it and they will bring it directly to your table. The portions are somewhat small (in a good way) so you can try many different foods without wasting too much. My only recommendation would be to add chicken eggs to the options for the soup. We will definitely go back!
