Our family is a huge fan of drive-ins, so we have visited quite a few. It's one of the first things I look for whenever we are in a small town. While staying in nearby Fayetteville, visiting New River Gorge NP, I spotted this drive-in on Google Maps and knew we had to go.

Prices were reasonable - $8pp, 5 and under free. Cash only at the admission gate. Movies start at dusk, which in the summer means around 9pm. This was well-past our little kids' bedtime, but they managed to stay awake to watch the first feature. We were sad that we had to leave before the second movie, as it was the one the adults wanted to see, but it was way too late at that point and clear to us that our kids weren't going to sleep unless we left.

A few notes: There's a small swing set for kids by the screen. People were actually really respectful about turning off their headlights (something that is often an issue at other drive-ins) and the staff was good about constantly reminding folks to do so. While we love vintage drive-ins, if often means vintage (run-down) bathrooms, which is not the case here - very nice staff and clean facilities. Concessions close before the second movie, but it seems like you can bring in your own food. Many of the drive-ins we have been to have a no outside food policy, or they charge you for bringing in your own food, but that didn't seem to be the case here. Might be worth bringing a portable radio to tune in to the movie broadcast. Also bring chairs and blankets - we even saw people with inflatable mattresses!

There were a good amount of people on a Saturday night, but it never felt overly crowded or too rowdy. Overall a really nice, family-friendly spot, and a great value, especially if you watch both movies. Wish we had a spot like this closer to home!

This is a very new drive in theatre. It is designed well to both combine the nostalgic feel along with the modern feel. Cost of admission was $8 a person. The concessions all taste good and are reasonably priced. The screen is new and the movies look fantastic. The first movie started around 9pm and the last movie ended at 2am. One tip of advice would be to bring your own radio or speaker that has a FM receiver if you plan on sitting outside of your vehicle. Absolutely come here if you are looking for a great experience.

A welcome addition to the Oak Hill area! Starlite Drive in is a new facility, it’s very clean, and the staff is wonderful. The gate is cash only, but cards are accepted at the concession stand.

Very nice drive-in with modern amenities. The screen and picture were surprisingly clear for the first movie, and the bathrooms and concessions are in a nice clean building that looks to have been remodeled very recently. Extremely fair ticket prices and plenty of options for where to set your car up to enjoy the movie.

The only issue we had was that there was extremely heavy fog about halfway through the second movie which made the picture quality take a pretty steep dive. That's obviously not the fault of the facility though and is the chance you take with a drive-in.

Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely come back, though next time I'll double check the weather to try to avoid the fog.

The Drive-In is wonderful! Great movie and sound quality, staff is super friendly! Eat before you go though, because the food could definitely use some improvement and the $4 funnel cakes are the size of 50 cent pieces 😅

Definitely bring your own radio lol. I didn’t know that I should’ve, my bad. Weather permitting, you can bring law chairs and sit outside, or park rear facing and open your trunk or sit in the back of your truck. The video quality is splendid for a drive-in. There’s a building for concession and restroom. Local food trucks also come, check their website on Thursday’s movies coming up on the weekend and food trucks available. There’s picnic tables beside the food trucks too!!

We had a great time. Picture quality was great and the sound was good. There was some static but not much. The food we tried was good and reasonably priced. For two movies you can't be the price.
