I’ve been here a handful of times over the last year and half, and the staff is always so kind! The beer of course is delicious. I mean, why go back if it wasn’t? Furthermore the women’s restroom is by far one of the cleanest public restrooms I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I was honestly astonished. So much so that I took pictures. The atmosphere here is great. And they have a parking lot, which is always a win.

Honestly this place was an eyesore for years by the old bridge. This new renovation of the area makes it look so inviting. Amazing staff. Amazing drinks NA and alcoholic. The staff is top notch. A vibe kent needed

They have a nice selection of beer. They also offer wine and a non-alcoholic beer!! We have a friend that only drinks NA beer and a lot of breweries don’t offer that. We will be back for that reason alone! The patio is spacious and the inside is as well. You can also get your DORA cups here (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area). Pups are allowed outside too! When you pull in follow the parking signs to the back of the building.

Loved this place! The bartender, Megan, was attentive and friendly and all of the beers I tried were great. The coconut brown ale was my favorite

Delightful and interesting talk tonight on writer and roughneck Jim Tully, whose post-hobo days in Kent unleashed his literary prowess and launched his Hollywood career. Wonderful crowd, too, heard Tully biographers Paul Bauer and Mark Dawidziak. Tap Talk Tuesday's are the bomb.

Amazing beer. The head brewer did a class the day we were there, she was awesome. Totally a great experience. I'd recommend this place.

Really cool place with a nice big garage door overlooking their patio. Bartender was nice. Beer was to be honest, fantastic. We purchased some to take home.

Went for the public opening. Nice interior. Got more packed as the day got later. Had a house blonde, red ale and hazy on tap. Offer crowler and growlers. Nice new local brewery. Will be back.

Great beer, great service, fun events. Food trucks are fun. They started selling sandwiches which is great. Sometimes have art showings. Games! A good community spot. The run club! Which I am too scared to join. Woot.

Nice place to stop for a beer in Kent! They had a Peach Cobbler Tart ale (Mastermind) at the Kent Beer Fest and it won my vote! Be sure to check out their social media page when you go as they have food trucks out frequently. They do not have a kitchen, but you can order from a truck if one is there (and I would assume you can bring food from pretty much anywhere for that matter.)

Delightful brewery tucked a short walk away from all of the action down on Water Street. Love their rotating selection of beers, cocktails, and slushees. They’re also home to a number of community events and various activities. Small bites available through a local caterer and they will frequently have food trucks on hand in the parking lot.

Situated at the nexus of the Crain/Lake/Water neighborhood in a former automobile body shop, the renovation of which is nothing short of spectacular, this wonderful new place is an absolute must stop for the craft beer aficionado. The atmosphere is intimate, the decor is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and welcoming and like to get to know you by name if you’re a regular there, and it’s kind of our version of “Cheers”, a place where everyone knows your name. We have needed a neighborhood craft brewpub for absolutely ever, and now we have a place that is making our old neighborhood the hottest place in town to live. Numerous vacant homes in this neighborhood are being purchased, renovated and occupied now, and people are flocking to this area to call “home”. Having a craft brewpub here has been just the thing we needed to bring people back to this neighborhood and to have a great place to gather and relax, have a delicious craft brew and, if a food truck happens to be present, some delicious food to eat in addition to a great craft beer.

This pub was the answer to our prayers, and how lucky are we that we now have this absolutely fantastic pub right in our neighborhood where so many fun activities are offered, from Trivia Night to Run Club to yoga to local singers performing to activities offered by the Portage Parks District like Yappy Hour where you can bring your dogs to the patio to much much more. North Water Brewing is my new favorite hangout spot. It’s the best thing to happen to this neighborhood in years. If you haven’t visited this great craft brewpub, run, don’t walk, to visit Kent’s hottest new business! I fell in love at first visit. I’m now a regular visitor there. The craft beers are all outstanding and very high quality! I already have a few faves among their numerous offerings! 😋🍺

Great selection of beer brewed on site. Fairly priced. You can get a flight if you want. Lovely patio and dogs are welcome. Very nice, spacious interior(although we sat on the patio as it was a beautiful day!) We got lunch from a food truck in the parking lot as they only have some snacks.

Highly recommended! Did I mention bike racks next to the patio and a bike trail next to the brewery?

Solid beer with a taproom that has a great cozy vibe. I loved some of the more traditional styles of beer along with the more exploratory in nature kinds of beer. The blueberry white stout was definitely an outside-the-box beer and it works out so incredibly well.

Even though it had cooled down this evening I enjoyed the event at NWBC. The food was phenomenally prepared by Kitchen 212 and the atmosphere was very laid back. I enjoyed a few laughs and meeting new people. I would definitely recommend this location and will be returning!

As a Kent State alumni, when I heard Kent was getting a brewery, I couldn't wait for their doors to open! A few weeks after opening day, my wife, 2 year old son and I came in to the brewery! I was blown away by the atmosphere, the staff, the cleanliness AND most importantly, the beer. Amazing beer! I've been to brewery's all across the country and their beer stacks up with the rest of them. Their staples are solid and they also offer unique variations and flavors.

Was impressed by their accommodations for families. Their restrooms were extremely fresh and clean complete with a family restroom with a baby changing table.

We will be back again, and again, and again!!

North Water Brewing is a much needed brewery on the north end of downtown! The place used to be a body shop and the complete renovation and overhaul they did is nothing short of spectacular. The brewery has a good atmosphere and great spaced out seating.

The beer here is excellent! I tried the flight and every beer I had was delicious. Their brewmaster knows what he is doing ... I am looking forward to what he comes up with next. The patio area will be great in the summer.

my friends and I love it here — the atmosphere is so fun, there are always fun beers (and cocktail slushies) to choose from, and they always bring delicious food trucks in the warmer months that really round up the whole experience! can't believe how seamlessly they transitioned into Kent's community!

Beer was amazing. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space.

Love that dogs are allowed on the patio. Will definitely return.
