Been here twice now, had a catfish & swamp (alligator, oyster, shrimp & catfish) baskets. We enjoyed our food both times, especially the catfish. Tasty sauces too! They have both inside & outside tables. We sat outside both times enjoying the sunshine (there is construction next door, but it didn’t bother us much). Glad we got this little place here in Des Moines!

We came on a Sunday so it's brunch. The catfish basket was so good. They also have bottomless mimosas I will be returning for. Full menu not avail today but I'll be back to try the full menu next weekend. Got free beignets and shot glasses from a nice gentleman who I think is the owner. Definitely a cool vybe. Reminds me of the N.O. for sure! Music and all. ⚜

Finally, I made it to Creole Soul restaurant. What a hidden gem 💎 food as well as drinks were delicious. The owner and his wife gave good vibes and played my kind of music 🎶 I will be back

Was there for Sunday brunch which offers a limited selection of their regular menu. But the selection they have is perfect for brunch, especially when they have mimosa with different flavors. Everything was good but the catfish is amazing! The drinks were perfectly made. The decor was fun and the staff was welcoming. I can't wait to go back on a nice day to enjoy the outdoor seating area. So glad to have great cajan food here in the greater Seattle area.

This are great little hidden cafe in Des Moines. They have a Soul Sunday menu which was outstanding and they serve beignet's. We would definitely come here again we had the quiche it was delicious.

Love this little spot! Absolutely amazing food in a tiny bar that reminds me of many of the hole-in-the-wall haunts I visited in New Orleans. Their grits are fantastic and by far the best I've had in my time in the PNW. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and so flavorful and the banana pudding is not to be missed. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

An outstanding atmosphere, amazing food and the most kind people you'll ever meet! I highly recommend this place... go there! You won't regret it!

Best fried okra I've had. Great catfish, perfectly battered, everything was crispy. Drinks were excellent. Nice little spot.

My wife and I stopped in to enjoy the incredible Alligator Bloody Mary’s and the Swamp Platter for Sunday brunch. All I can say “unbelievable”!!! The Bloody Mary has fresh pickled everything AND fresh cooked Alligator! The Swamp platter has Shrimp, Alligator, Oysters, and Catfish… everything was delicious… catfish was the best I’ve had… including when we were in New Orleans. The platter is huge, and made fresh. Shandy mixes a mean Bloody Mary and the “Boss” is unbeatable in kitchen… not to mention just really nice people. Will be back again…. As soon as I recover from my Swamp Platter Coma!! Thanks so much!

We LOVE this place! I’ve been following the food truck around for years and the stand-alone location is amazing too! The shrimp étouffée and fried pickles are my favorite! I love the fried catfish and the crawfish Mac n chz as well!
DO NOT MISS the banana pudding, if that’s on the menu you’ll wanna order an extra to take home with you!
The staff is always so accommodating (I’m very particular) and kind. 10/10 and a customer for life! The dine in experience is great, very comfortable atmosphere. I also grab to-go so my kids can have some too, they love it!

Amazing food! And even more amazing people! Definitely a go to for my wife and I. One of our favorite local spots. I dont think I've been anywhere more welcoming. Two thumbs up. A must try.

This was the best southern food I’ve had in a long time! I had the pleasure of trying their food from their food truck today at Cajun Fest; and even though they had a line a mile long the entire time, when I got up to place my order the truck was filled with laughter and joking and I had the BEST customer service. On top of the wonderful people, the crawfish etouffee was absolutely delicious, and their Hushpuppies were THE BEST hushpuppies I have ever had. My other half said they tasted just like his Uncle Milky’s “famous” hushpuppies (his family is from Louisiana). It made his day!

My dad loves to visit New Orleans and eat the food there, so when he saw last year on the news that Dat Creole Soul won the Best New Restaurant of Western WA, he’s been itching to go the next time he visited me in Seattle. He’s been talking about this place for a year. Let me tell you, this place delivered. Everything was amazing. My favorite was the etouffee, but you will love absolutely everything you eat. We will be back and my dad will be talking about this for a long time. The people there are awesome and make you feel right at home!

Best catfish I ever had, and the grits were cooked perfectly. They are very busy so come early to get your favorite spot in the house. If your a saints fan this is your place Game day for sure!

I've had the good luck of stumbling upon Creole Soul's vegan stew. Holy heck, WHAT a dish....! I also ate my way through a spinach parmesan quiche that was TOP NOTCH. I would highly recommend Creole Soul's food to anyone looking for some good food in the area. If you're visiting from out of town, this is a spot to put on your itinerary. I hear they have some great drinks and the rest of the food is tasty as well, but my own experience has been limited so far. I'll report back once

Just got Take out at Creole Soul....Gator, Catfish and Shrimp with Waffle Fries very tasty and Excellant Creole Seasoning.

Catfish and waffle fries we're great. Staff very friendly. They gave me a piece of catfish and sauce to sample while I waited for my order. Everything on the menu looks great. My husband and I will be going back to try some of the other items.

Greeted upon entry to restaurant and the best Louisiana food in the state of Washington. I recommend this restaurant to everyone that love Louisiana cuisine or just miss back home cooking like do! Thank you for such a welcoming atmosphere and amazingly wonderful food. The fried mushrooms and seafood platter is the best!!

Very thing about this place was outstanding. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with southern hospitality, the decor gave New Orleans feels. The drinks were amazing, love the variety of specialty drinks. But it was definitely the food for me! The hush puppies, grits, catfish with the soul sauce, crawfish mac n cheese and that banana pudding, LORDT HAVE MERCY,beyond tasty. Amazing food, great VIBEZ, beautiful atmosphere.

BEST Creole food around! The owners and staff are very friendly and fun. Crawfish Etouffee, Crawfish Mac & Cheese, and Deep-Fried Southern Pickles are the best I’ve ever had. I do not like Catfish or Gator but went ahead and tried theirs, I absolutely loved it and their Crawfish Mac & Cheese is to die for. I can not say enough positive things about this restaurant and highly recommend it..
