Surf's Up Dolphin Cruises

We LOVED this dolphin cruise!! We took it on May 22, 2024. These guys definitely know how to give their boat guests a fantastic show of playful dolphins. We felt like the dolphins were having as much fun playing in that wake as we did watching them. Thanks to Neal and his captain for an especially memorable sunset cruise!!

We were there on a cool, windy, cloudy day with a group of about 14 adults. I did not expect we would see much in the way of dolphins. These guys took out two boats at the same time in the bay. They have it figured out.... The dolphins must be on their payroll. The company took the two boats out together. They spent some time looking for dolphins. Once they found what they were looking for they brought the boats parallel about 30 feet apart making a large wake just at the rear of the boats. The dolphin show was impressive. Sometimes as many as 5 or 6 dolphins were in the wake 10 feet from the boats. For the price I would highly recommend these guys. Plan to get very wet if there is any wind at all.... Rain gear is a plus.

This was our first dolphin cruise and we absolutely loved it. The captain and deckhand were great! I was a little worried because it was the cheapest one but I can't imagine how another dolphin cruise could have been better!

The best dolphin cruise ever. Most experienced crew and owner. Using 2 boats together is def the key to seeing the best show of dolphins. Great experience and will only ever refer this group and use them every year. Good job guys!

This was a fantastic experience! The deckhand/tour guide Madison was super fun and taught us a lot about dolphins. This company takes two groups out at a time in two boats. They run the boats beside each other and create a large wake behind the two boats and the dolphins surf the wake in between the two boats! We saw 10-15 dolphins and two baby dolphins! Our whole family went and it was the highlight of our beach trip for the youngest grandchild to the oldest grandfather. Everyone had an absolute blast. This is an incredibly fun experience, it’s also educational AND a fantastic value! I will be back every time I visit Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip your tour guide! =]

My wife wanted more than anything to see dolphins, so my step daughter and I booked with Surf’s Up and man where we blown away!
She absolutely loved it. Fantastic crew, professional, comical, and most of all you knew when you left that they care about the habitat and the many species of wildlife around it.
Super informative. I’ve swam with dolphins in Mexico, and as great as that was you always know they are in captivity so it didn’t seem right. But this was absolutely amazing!

One of the most awesome experiences ever! Our family of 8 had a blast. The crew was nice, organized, and clearly knew how to get the dolphins in a playful mood (the dolphins raced & jumped between the boats-- truly fascinating). The price point was by far the best I could find & very reasonable. Booking online was super simple. I highly recommend the dolphin tour with surfs up!

We scheduled this dolphin cruise with our three year old granddaughter after another company cancelled the morning of our booking. I am glad they cancelled because Surf's Up dolphin cruise was more than I could've imagined! We saw so many dolphins swimming, diving and jumping! So awesome, highly recommend!

Cannot recommend this Dolphin cruise enough!! We booked last minute with our 2 and 5 year old. Captian walked us aboard and joked with us about a "retrieval fee" if we fall in but reassured our little guy that no one has even fallen in. Our tour guide, Madison, was excellent! Very fun and informative, answered all our questions and joked about the captains. Oh and did I mention we saw dolphins! They got them surfing at least 7 times with so many belly flops and photo ops! My whole family had a blast and we will remember it for years to come!

My husband and I took the 5:30 tour. This is well worth the money and loved the dolphins jumping behind the boat. The dolphins were having so much fun. I definitely recommend for all ages.

If you’re looking for a dolphin cruise, look no further. Admittedly, I have never been on a dolphin cruise before. We chose Surf’s Up based on reviews and pricing. Soooo glad we did! The staff were friendly, attentive, and informative. Two boats were taken out and they looked for dolphins. When spotted, the aligned side by side to create a large wake and the dolphins did not disappoint. I don’t know if other dolphin cruises go out of their way like this, but the crews at Surf’s Up certainly left me with the impression that they truly care and want their patrons to get the most enjoyment possible. They had a cooler full of waters for the passengers. They played music during the trip out and back. They voluntarily took photos for groups with the groups phones. Needless to say, we had a blast!

If you’re looking g for a dolphin cruise look no further!!! Surf’s Up was amazing! It’s very affordable, the crew is very friendly and the dolphin sighting was truly unbelievable! So much better than I ever expected! You will not be disappointed so just book it now with Surf’s Up! Our family is so glad we did! This was even better than going to a dolphin show at one of those way over priced places! Thank you Surf’s Up for a wonderful time and great memories for our family.

Best dolphin cruise period ! The best hand down even saw a baby dolphin with its parents the sweetest thing I have ever seen definitely one for the book ! Thank you guys for this wonderful experience

Best dolphin cruise ever!!! I have been on several different dolphin cruises and this was by far the best. It took a bit to find the dolphins, but when we did......WOW!! I've never been on a dolphin cruise where we got over 15 minutes straight of dolphins jumping the waves. The crew was amazing as well. I will definitely be back!!

Highly, highly recommend this business! I chose them based partly on their price (much lower than many I considered) and their guaranty of seeing dolphins. They send out two boats, and once one of them spot dolphin activity, they position the two boats to create a wake/wave pattern that the dolphins enjoy playing in. It was breathtaking. The crew was friendly and informative, and the boat has a toilet on board. You can bring your own drinks and snacks on board so if you want to enjoy a sunset beer you can. Just a great experience.

My family had the best time on the dolphin cruise! The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and knew exactly where the dolphins were hanging out. We encountered 3 pods total, and the crew knew how to stir them up and get them to play by creating a wake with the boats for the dolphins to jump in. Also, this place is the most fairly priced of any of the other places that we considered. We were not disappointed!

One of the best dolphin tours we have ever been on. The staff was super friendly. The great thing about this tour is that there were not too many people on the boat. Most tours are overcrowded, and this one was not! They did a wonderful job of finding dolphins several times during our trip. Pricing was the best we have ever found for a dolphin tour.

Update: Came back 2 years later. Still hands down one of the best. They are not a see dolphins one time and quit tour. We saw dolphins multiple times as they used 2 boats in tandem. Pricing continues to be very affordable for families.

Second year, great experience yet again! We saw at least 6 this year, including 2 babies. They take two boats out and look for the dolphins. When they find them, they run the two boats alongside to create a wake the dolphins ride and jump in. So amazing to watch. The crew has been awesome both times, and for $12/person, it’s a fantastic deal. My 2yo son loved it both times, and his parents and grandma did too!

Absolutely a fantastic experience! The whole family loved it! The dolphins love the wake that the 2 boats make and the crew was really fun and knowledgeable! The price is right with Surf's Up! We have been on others, but will return to this one in the future! Very easy to find, right by the pass at Caribe!
