Marvelous place, tucked away in downtown Schenectady! We were in the area, and decided to just Google a good place to eat...and SO glad that we selected this restaurant!

The food was awesome...even our normally picky 9 year-old was diving into her food! 🤣 Staff is VERY friendly, and we even got to meet the chef and congratulate him on his wonderful food. The restaurant is spacious and very clean, and located on a quaint side street.

If you're in Schenectady (or even just the Capital District), I would highly recommend that you make a trip out to this superb restaurant - you won't regret it!

Came in for restaurant week with my wife and our moms. Tried the new warm plates- two gnocchi and one salmon - as well as a bowl. Started with the award winning soup/chowder. Never a disappointment. Meals were fabulous and the presentation was as good as the food. Dessert, as always, was a great finishing touch. One of our favorite places to eat, and the staff is always super friendly.

This wrap was unbelievable. Fresh and healthy ingredients. The girls who work there are all sweet and friendly. Its like a healthy Mediterranean Chipotle style service

Love this place for a quick healthy bite for lunch or even dinner, say, pre-show. Love the make your own bowls and wrap, so many choices of sauces and toppings (not a subway lol)! Yum!

This is a faaaavorite place to come (pretty much on a weekly basis!) when my daughter is with her father and I don’t want to cook, want something yummy, affordable, and HEALTHY! It’s like a unicorn! Lol The staff is always friendly and accommodating, it’s super clean, food is great, there’s outdoor seating so you can take advantage of the nice weather, and is on the super charming pedestrian portion of Jay Street.
It’s so pretty down there, I’m always pleased to spen my time down there for a bit.

I had to give this place a rating ASAP, I’m still here eating my food and couldn’t wait! Five stars on all accounts. Food is SO GOOD. Great quality. Great service! Do yourself a favor and get here. Also I’m plant based and there is lots to choose from.

The most delicious and healthy food. The matcha rose latte hot or cold is so good. Definitely eat here as soon as possible. Many gluten free options to enjoy.

A much needed concept in Schenectady. I got the Greek Meatballs which were just great. The pita pie and baklava were likewise excellent. And I can't complain about the price either. It seemed fair for a fresh, tasty Mediterranean dish. Suddenly in the last few years Jay Street is alive and well after decades of being populated by freaks and rejects.

Absolutely amazing food and great prices

An absolutely delightful eating experience! The Mediterranean food is excellent! Lots of yummy desserts, too. The staff is courteous, the ambience light, fresh and airy! Simone, the owner, had a vision, and it worked! Loved it!

The absolute nicest workers and owners, so kind and consistently amazing food!! Their bowls are amazing, as well as their coffees and sides. Love them. Also love their pop-up at Electric Grinch!

Unbelievable experience. The owner and staff are wonderful and make you feel like a guest in their own. The food was fantastic and of a rare quality. Located on a beautiful pedestrian street and facing a bookstore.

Love the food here! The foods feels fresh heathy and tasty. I typically get the large shawarma bowl. It come with some rice, chicken, fried potatoes and you can add other stuff like cucumber and hummus.

This place is just amazing!!! The people are friendly and accommodating, the food is the best you will get anywhere, and the restaurant is very clean. The food is fresh, tastes great, affordable, and is healthy. Definitely is my go to place when I am in the area!! If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out!! I would give this place 10 stars if it was available!! ⭐

Great place for a quick, healthy meal with "right-sized" portions at a fair price. Bowl meals have two sizes. Small bowl is plenty for a light dinner before a show at Proctors. Enough for a meal with no leftovers to haul around. Order your custom bowl meal (or other meal) as you move down the counter line. I always get the small falafel bowl with mild sauce and a tahini chocolate ball for dessert. Menu is up on the wall behind the meal assembly staff. Don't overlook the desserts just past the cash register. Almost everything at the counter is gluten free (not the pita) and there are a couple GF low sugar desserts. A variety of small tables (2-4 seats) are available. 2 clean bathrooms. If you find this review helpful, give a "like".

So delicious. Got the chicken shawarma bowl, orange blossom lemonade, baklava, and vanilla cardamom latte. 5/5, I want to come back tomorrow! Reasonably priced for 2 drinks, dinner, dessert. Spent $20

First time at Simone’s Kitchen and it did not disappoint! The food was fresh and delicious, service was extremely friendly and informative and they made wonderful suggestions for a first timer! Will absolutely be going back! Highly recommend for anyone looking to eat delicious and authentic Mediterranean cuisine…oh and the Lavender Latte is a worth it addition! Yummmm

We just ate here. Everything is really good. The hummus is excellent, but everything is also very good. Chicken Shawarma, Brito Bowl, stuffed peppers, Lahm-ajeen pie. Can't go wrong with anything. Beautiful urbanized decor. Very very friendly kind staff. I'm posting this everywhere I can.
