After fighting to clear my pool of algae and cloudiness for a month following the guidance of another (chain store) pool professional I heard good things about John and Back Yard Pool and Spa so I gave them a try, after 2 days following his advice my pool has never been more clear and inviting. I will continue to follow his advice and provide him my business as well as highly recommending this place to any and all. Before and after pics below.

Whoa! Is this stuff even legal???
I was softwashing a roof for a friend and needed a chlorine refill. I was worried about potency as I dropped in right before closing. I liked that the jug was filled right in front of me rather than exchanged for a pre-filled one that had been sitting. The difference was immediately noticeable when I resumed washing, compared to another refill I got from one of the "penny" stores. Much stronger! The gentleman who helped me was also super kind. Wish I lived closer so I could get all my refills here!

I contacted John about needing my pool tile repaired. He recommended Chris Lawson and I must say, I am very impressed with his work. Chris removed and replaced all the pool tile and it looks GREAT. Thanks John and Chris.

Best place to get supplies, personalized help and service. Jon is always very knowledgeable and always helpful. Service fixes each time were reasonably fair priced and spot on fixed.

My technician Derek is great! He keeps my pool sparkling ✨ He puts up with my ankle bitter dog and brings my fur babies treats. I have had their service for several years now and never had an issue.

I have been meaning to get this review out for some time. I am so happy to have found John. I was having a major issue with my chlorine levels this past summer/fall. It took a while to troubleshoot and through process of elimination John pinpointed what was wrong and resolved. Every time I go into the store he gives you his full attention. As a new pool owner it is very reassuring to have someone you can count on with his level of expertise and patience. Thanks John!

I contacted BPS for an air leak in my pump system. Joe came out and made all the necessary repairs and resolved all issues. Joe does a great job and is extremely knowledgeable. John was easy to communicate with and kept me up to date. Would highly recommend Backyard Pool & Spa to anyone.

I stopped in for the first time. Wanted to talk about vacuums and if they installed railings. The father/daughter team was very knowledgeable. They discussed various brands and models. They didn't try to upsell and identified pros and cons. I ended up buying from them on the spot. Price was in line with other stores and online. Will be back.

We have been going to this location for well over a decade an John is always exceptional! He helped us avoid a pricey situation today. The prices are fair- John is priceless. You just don't find this caliber of service around anymore.

Went in to the store yesterday, we needed a new pump. Showed the owner picture of the pump and they were out the next day to replace it. The repairman that came was knowledgeable and very friendly, he made sure he cleaned all the parts and lubed everything before putting it all back together. And the price was very reasonable!! Thank you

John has been helpful in the office and Joe is a great mechanic.

Jon is a wealth of information. He knows everything there is to know about pools, chemicals, pumps, heaters you name it he knows it . He takes the time to really explain things in a way you can understand. His products are top notch and his prices are the lowest in town. Jon’s daughter always has a smile, is friendly and very helpful as well. I’m so glad I was recommended to come here for all of my pool needs and I’ll be a customer for life.

Jon and his daughter run an amazing shop. Their prices are the best in Citrus County and they remember each customer, their needs and give them personal care and compassion. Today is the first day of service with this company and I'm so impressed! Adam is the service man that came to our home and he has gone above and beyond what our expectations were! The previous company left our pool in such poor condition, but that's not a problem now! Thank you Backyard Pools and Adam for still having pride in a job done well and caring for our pool! Let me tell you something... this kind of customer service is what is missing in todays businesses. This staff is always willing to help me. Iam a new homeowner with a new pool. So i had 100's of questions and this team here helped me with every one of them. They do indeed have the best pricing. They even pricematch. On top of that they have waited 5 after 5 just to test my water because i ran a bit behind. These guys absolutly rock!

Very nice helpful business owner. I Am new to the area ,I called Backyard Pool & Spa on Sat 6/1/19. Although He could not service my above ground pool, he took the time to get me a reference, plus still answered all my questions and offered his help over the phone if I needed it . I will buy my supplies here due to his excellent customer service. Thank you
