I got a piece of charcoal in my eye and it was super uncomfortable. I called York Eyecare and they got me in within two hours and got the charcoal out of my eye ASAP. Not only that, they entertained my seven month old and four-year-old daughters while I saw the doctor during this time as well as the precious appointment for my eye test. The staff is wonderful.

Day 1 of our vacation week here and a wave caught me off guard and I lost my glasses to the Atlantic Ocean. (No longer wear contacts, and I’m as blind as a bat without my lenses, so needed a quick fix.) I called York Family Eye Care Center and asked if they could help me out. Fast forward 2 1/2 hours later, and I’m walking out of their location with a beautiful new pair of eyeglasses. Everyone at the center was so hospitable and friendly - Felt like I was at my local place back in Buffalo, NY. Couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience after my misfortune at the beach. Some lucky dolphin is wearing my old frames, but I’m doing just fine with my new ones! THANK YOU!!

My husband and I were traveling for our anniversary in the York area, and he realized he left his contacts at home the next morning after waking up. York Family Eyecare was so helpful in giving us a sample set to get us through our vacation, for free! Talk about great customer service. Thank you so much!

I was in York for a family vacation when my contact (eye) tore and I thought I had packed my extra contacts. I was devastated because I cannot see well with my old glasses and use my contacts everyday. I called this business and they were amazing. They welcomed me with open arms, more than happy to help me. They had given me contacts that would fit my prescription & the doctor even said let me check your eyes with the contacts in to make sure you are ok. Lastly, they did NOT CHARGE me anything! Just cannot say enough great things about Dr Pelletier and his tremendous staff. I recently moved full-time to Maine, and I'd been long overdue for a full checkup. Easily got an appointment, the assessment was comprehensive (well-trained, very collaborative staff), and Dr Pelletier's examination led to the absolute best prescription - I truly believe I have not had the proper glasses for at least 8 years (!). Now, no more eye fatigue, no more end of day headaches (I thought this had just been normal due to my work), and just crystal clear vision while driving. THANK YOU Dr P and all the folks that took great care of me.

Absolutely amazing experience. I drove up Friday night for my brothers wedding Saturday afternoon. I realized Friday night while unpacking I left my contacts in NEW YORK!! I was freaking out!! I drove to this office Saturday morning without an appointment and showed them my previous prescription on my phone. The receptionist was so nice and thoughtful found something matching my prescription that I could use and gave me a 2 week lens trial! The anxiety I had went away and I could see at my brothers wedding! Definitely recommend, they can make miracles happen! It also helped that the location I am staying at had many of the staff as patients of the office. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU .

We were on a family vacation in Maine and I packed everything except my contact lenses. York family eyecare was professional and friendly and assisted me in getting a prescription sent to their office so I could get replacement lenses quickly. A wonderful experience and I recommend them to all!

I was vacationing in Ogunquit and forgot my contact lenses back home. Janet and Karen worked tirelessly to assist me in coordinating with my personal eye doctor to get me emergency lenses. On top of that, Dr Pelletier examined me pro bono to ensure the emergency lenses fit. I can’t say enough good things about these people who had no motivation to help a tourist they may never see again. I can’t thank them enough.

Needed help getting bent eyeglass frame straightened. The optician, Kristen, took care of the issue quickly, expertly and with a smile. The risk here is damage to the frame which was avoided thanks to her skill. Lastly, she walked me through a series of tests to ensure I was seeing through the right part of the progressive lens. All of the above was done for free, even though I was fully prepared to pay whatever she thought was reasonable or customary. I will be back there for my next pair of glasses when the time comes.

I would like to give Dr. Sam Pelletier, and his talented and dedicated Team, the highest praise and recommendation. The DR. saved my eye sight with his great experience and skill. Going the extra mile by referring me on to a specialist quickly to remedy my medical situation. And even called later in the day to see how I was doing...unheard of, but most welcomed. The two team members I met, Janet, and Marisa, at the top of their game. Quickly getting me through the process, while supporting Dr. Pelletier in this delicate health matter. Great looking shop, with cool eye glasses...can’t wait to purchase them. I would highly recommend York Family Eyecare for any eye issues, medical or fashion. David

My wife and I are in York ME on vacation, staying with friends. I accidentally knocked my glasses off my face, bending the frames. Our friends took us to York Family Eyecare to see if they could help me. Even though I was a complete stranger, I was given a warm welcome by the person at the front desk. I explained my problem, and she told me that a staffer would help me. When I explained the situation to the staffer (I believe her name was Jane) looked at my glasses then took them back into the workspace. When she came out a few minutes later, she had repaired the frames. Not only that, but she had also replaced the nose pads and secured them to the frames!
The professionalism and warmth of the staffers was very much appreciated! Dr. Pelletier should be very proud of his team.

I have been a patient for about 1 year and I have always been greeted warmly and made to feel special. York Family Eyecare has been the best practice that I have gone to in the 30 plus years of wearing contacts and glasses. I would recommend them highly.

Recently dropped off a pair of vintage eyeglasses for repair at York Family Eyecare. Returned in a few hours and the glasses looked like brand new. Super service and quality work.
