Tandem Creperie and Coffeehouse

We love this place! We go through Travelers Rest all the time and pass this place often. It's always busy and there's always a line but after today, we definitely understand why. We're so happy we chose to have brunch here. The wraps, the crepes, the lattes and the service were all exceptional. We will definitely be back. 5/5!

Probably the cutest place I've ever been, the shop interior, the order-bus and the little plants everywhere are lovely. Waiting outside in a line during the cold wasn't very fun but they seated us and gave us our food in almost exactly 5 minutes. The food was delicious and they have some really nice vegan options.
Lavender latte was a 6/10

Great place to stop for brunch! The line outside on the weekends moves quickly and once seated, you get your food immediately. Very efficient system. Great food that won't break the bank.

Now I know why there's always a line of customers down the sidewalk! My daughter and I went for brunch yesterday. My first time, but she has been many times. I ordered a blueberry compote waffle, but wound up with an out of this world blueberry crepe. The server offered to make a waffle, but I said no because I always have waffles, I'll try something new. That was the BEST crepe I have ever eaten. Mildly sweet but not excessive....it was delicious and I finished the whole thing. My daughter ordered the lumberjack crepe and it was yummy, as well. The only thing I personally did not care for was the seating and noise...it just wasn't relaxing. That is only my personal opinion and it will not keep me from returning. The food is outstanding, the building is immaculate, and the staff is very friendly.

I am incredibly picky about my crepes. This place passes the crepe test and I will say it is the best place in the Greenville to get a crepe. Their coffee is just as good as their crepes! One of my favorite breakfast spots

Um-hello!! This place knows their business and is knocking it out of the park!! First time visitor today, went on a date with my husband-we were both so impressed!! Customer service was top notch, friendly and accommodating at every point of contact (so rare these days!!) Prices matched the serving size (servings were generous, I couldn’t finish my lumberjack crepe!). The food was delicious, and it was served SO quickly!! Latte art was pretty and coffee was tasty. Atmosphere was bright and cheery, fresh flowers and plants scattered around. If I was a business, and I ran it this well, I’d be really proud of myself. 😄

Blew my expectations out of the water. Wanted some brunch in town. Was worried at first because it was PACKED and there was was no parking. Once we found some and arrived, the line was long. However, they moved it insanely fast and had one person taking orders at the bus and one next to the bus. A plus is that they assign you seating when you order, so you don’t have to wander around trying to find some!

The service:
Service was lightning fast even though they were packed. We had our orders taken and were seated within 10 minutes. Water came out the second we sat. Coffees came out almost instantly after. I don’t think we even waited 10 minutes for 2 crepes before they came out (and the whole building was seated fully).

The food:
- iced coffee Horchata - super yummy and sweet
- vanilla draft - also very yummy. Chilled with no ice. Medium sweet.
- Green Club: INSANE! So good - lots of flavor, filling, get it
- blueberry: very yummy! Gets soggy quick so eat it fast.

Spent about $25.

I would die for this food! I have been going to this place for the past 8 years and it's one of my favorite places in TR. The menu might seem small, but quality over quantity. The food is spectacular and there is always something for everyone. Also if nothing on the menu strikes your fancy they are super flexible and can customize a dish for you. My all-time favorite is the banana nut with a handcrafted soda. This place doesn't end with the amazing food, the atmosphere is great, I always love seeing all the plants inside. Over the years Tandems popularity has only risen, and due to that it can get very crowded. Before covid the restaurant had a line inside the restaurant, but switched to the food truck ordering method when covid started. Waiting outside can sometimes be exhausting, but it's all worth the wait because there are less people inside and you can get some great food.

I am not a breakfast person. I enjoy breakfast food, but only when I'm in the mood for it. But this place is absolutely amazing. They have such a great variety of sweet and savory options. My personal favorite meal is the chicken and mushroom crepe. The customer service is very good and the place is very refreshing and bright. If you ever find yourself in that area, definitely try it out!

Great spot for crepes and coffee☕The lumberjack & tiramisu crepes are delicious. The cappuccino was also good. The heated porch was a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the food.

This place is really popular and deservedly so. Order at a VW Van food truck and then sit either inside or outside for service. Got a cappuccino and a banana nut crepe. The cappuccino was beautifully presented with some nice latte art, and was delightfully sweet, mildly fruity, and very soft and full in the mouth. I can tell that they know their way around espresso. The crepe was delicious as well. Food came out quickly and service was very, very friendly.

Was looking for a place to study and found this place near my child's daycare so decided to try it out! I gave atmosphere 4/5 stars just because it can get a bit loud in there but it was beautiful inside and had nice music playing when you could hear it haha. For parking there was none behind the building and I have rarely been to downtown TR so when I saw a sign posted on the back of the green garbage thing saying where to park with just a name I was a bit confused BUT it is literally behind the coffee shop. You drive past the parking behind the building (where the laundry mat is) and past a few homes and you'll see a park on your left and that's the extra parking. It's at most 3-5 min walk to get to the building from there.
It was an interesting idea that you'd have to order outside where the yellow beetle van is instead of inside. It wasn't too cold that morning I went but felt a bit bad for the person sitting outside taking orders XD I ordered the tiramisu crepe and I got a cappuccino with one shot and added vanilla and mocha to it.
I was offered the option of inside or outdoor seating (which was heated too) but I chose inside. They tell you what table to sit at and you head in. I didn't catch a glimpse of the outdoor seating to see if there were bigger tables but where I sat inside was a long bench with small tables for 2 with one chair on the opposite side. It was a smidge cramped next to people if they have bags on the booth/would need to scoot your chair back a bit so you didn't bump into the person next to you but the locations a bit small in general so wasn't too terrible. It was hard to have my study material out and the food on the table but I made due since I did not bring a laptop with me for this adventure. I believe there were a few 4 seater tables and a island with tall chairs too that may provide more space.
The food was so delicious! I enjoyed that the coffee taste in the tiramisu was not too strong but it was 10/10 ill probably get it again when I go back! I'm not the best at providing reviews on coffee since I'm fairly new in figuring out what I liked but the cappuccino definitely had that strong coffee taste, I didn't taste too much mocha but for people that want the coffee bitter and not super sugary I think it's a good fit.
The staff inside were very attentive and kind. Continuously rounding on everyone and brought out drinks and food super quick! (I went around 8:40-9a and there was a small amount of people there that was growing to medium amount closer to 10a) I really enjoyed they bring a thing of water and a glass you can refill on your own at the table that was a surprising extra that I enjoyed.
Overall a cute place to meet up with friends or family but if you have a group of more than 4 you will be spaced out a bit from everyone most likely. Service is fast and food/drinks are really good!

“Share the Love” Crepe and Hot Chocolate were both delicious. Service was fast and excellent.

This is a really interesting breakfast place on the main drag in Travelers Rest. Largely centered on crepes and waffles, it's a carb fest. It's fun to order at the little yellow VW bus, which also serves as a nice landmark. Coffee and Chai are pretty good, service was seamless. Eat on the porch.

Tried Tandem for breakfast after several locals recommended it. The iconic yellow VW was easy to find in TR. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommended!

Amazing! If you are in Greensville, take the short drive up, well worth it! I got two items and a coffee. Both were delicious. My wife said her crepe was one of the best things she has ever eaten. It is kind of kooky because you order outside at this old Vanagon but then you can sit inside or out. Service was fast, all the people were friendly and everything was great. If you go, I recommend the cinnamon roll crepe it was awesome! Was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Truly, these were the absolute BEST crepes we've ever had! Their waffles are amazing, too (light, crispy 'n delicious)!
