A Southern Girl Bakery

I stopped in here on a whim today looking for something sweet. The shop is beautiful and clean and the owner was so nice and kind. All of the items in the shop were reasonably priced, and there was quite a large selection. In addition to having standard cupcakes and Pastries, she had quite a selection Of both gluten-free and vegan options. I got four cupcakes and a muffin for $23 which I thought was very reasonable. The owner also gave me the wrong cupcake in my box, and instead of just swapping it out, she gave me an additional free cupcake, which was very kind of her. I ordered a salted caramel, smores, cookies and cream (v), and strawberry cupcake (v). The extra one she gave me was double chocolate. All of the cupcakes were great, the flavors were all well balanced without being too sweet. If you hadn't told me that two of the cupcakes were vegan I never would have known. The real star of the show was the banana streusel muffin I got. That might just have been the best muffin I've ever had in my entire life. It was almost like a banana monkey bread style muffin with a cinnamon roll glaze on top and I'm not kidding you I would drive 45 minutes back just to get another one of those muffins. I hope those are a permanent staple on her menu and if they aren't they should become one. The next time I'm in Dover I'll be stopping back in!

Recently ordered a birthday cake and gluten free cupcakes for my husband and the cake was not only beautiful but delicious too! Really awesome bakery and plan on returning again. Exceptional quality and highly recommend

I stopped in one fall afternoon while walking around Dover, NH. I have to admit it was the sign that drew my attention. Service was friendly & professional. The Mississippi mud bar was packed with flavor, nothing less than phenomenal. If you’re in New Hampshire, you should definitely give this bakery a visit.

OMG This place is PHENOMENAL! Cupcakes are my favorite sweet treat but since my Celiacs diagnosis I haven’t enjoyed them the same, until now! The best GF cupcakes I’ve ever had. PERIOD. I drove an hour to try them and will gladly do again they are that good! The GF lemon bars were heavenly I even shared with a non celiac friend and she said they were so good she couldn’t tell they were GF. My brother in law loved the boozy cupcakes. Our family of 6 loved the sweet treats from a SGB and there was something for everyone. Love this place! Go there! The delicious treats and Southern hospitality are worth it!

I was told they well be closing in a few days and will be relocating at the beach ⛱ 😎 for the summer... then returning for the fall

But all cupcakes and bars I have tried have been so tasty and they have some fun Flavors 😋 and super pretty!!

Romonia at A Southern Girl Bakery was so wonderful to work with!! She made our wedding cake, and I was blown away at how incredibly BEAUTIFUL it was!! It was so delicious, and the guests were raving about it for days! Throughout the whole process, we felt so taken care of by Romonia, you can tell she is so passionate about the work she does. She makes you feel like family! When we went for our tasting, she made the experience so much fun and relaxing! We will absolutely be returning for more of her sweet treats! I cannot say any more positive things about this bakery then I already have, their customer service is not only incredible but kind and comforting. I had the pleasure of coming across them at the reggae festival in Portsmouth this year, after devouring a few of their amazing items… I wanted more but I’m a bit of a drive away. They were kind enough to ship me my favorite items, I can’t wait to have the opportunity to visit them in person. Thank you so much, please give them a try, you won’t regret it!

Had cake from here for my nieces birthday last month and everyone loved it!! My mother has still not stopped talking about it. We will definitely order again for our next occasion!

You will not find a moister, more delectable gluten free dessert. I wandered upon their seasonal location in York, Maine and spotted that they had gluten free cupcakes. I tried the Salted Caramel one after walking outside and immediately couldn't believe my taste buds. I returned minutes later with my friends in tow to get more for everyone -- including a gluten free chocolate one filled with delicious chocolate ganache. Best gluten free cup cake ever. Also, the team there was extremely friendly, helpful, and took great pride in their products. Can't recommend enough.

I went here for the first time a few days ago when I was in the mood for a snack. They are loaded with cupcakes. I am not a huge cupcake fan, so I didn’t try any, but their flavors were varied and interesting. I decided on a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. I am 61 years old and 300lbs. Trust me I have eaten my share of cookies in my life. This cookie may have been the best I’ve ever had. A unique combination of crispy and chewy with an amazingly complex flavor. Then I tried a brownie with ganache, nuts and marshmallows on top and it was awesome. If you’re in the mood for a snack, like cookies or brownies, you must try this place.

We had the pleasure of visiting Southern Girl Bakery yesterday to buy cupcakes for a celebration we were hosting. The staff was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. SO MANY DELICIOUS choices!!!!! Best cupcakes we have ever had! Moist, flavorful and yummy frosting. We purchased 7 different flavored cupcakes and each one was a hit! We will definitely be back.

Love this place! So far, everything has been amazing! Lemon bars, Mississippi mud bars, cookies, cupcakes, boozy cupcakes, everything is incredibly delicious! They even had pink champagne cupcakes in January which was a really special treat! Our anniversary is in January and our wedding cake was pink champagne. It was a lovely coincidence! We look forward to many more visits!

Absolutely amazing AMAZING cake that they made for me for my girlfriend’s birthday. Not only was the cake amazing but when I went to pick it up I bought a few cupcakes they had freshly made that day, you know for the car ride home haha. Absolutely delicious!

And not only are their cakes and cupcakes out of this world… the service was astounding! I called with a cake emergency and the next day I had the absolutely most amazing cake ever. It was a hit!!!! And when I went to pick it up, the bakery owner was very friendly and kind and I could not speak more highly of my customer experience.

I love cupcakes and cakes. Like love love. I went in here for the first time today and was in awe after the first bite. I was so excited I ate the whole thing in the car before taking it out of park. I then proceeded to go back in and get another one! 6/5 stars

On the way into York we stopped and ordered a small cake for our daughter & son-in-laws 5th anniversary. We purchased six different cup cakes for that evening - they were DE licious. Went back to pick up cake today. They did such a great job. Family said it was the best cake they've ever had up here.

The owner Miss Ramona was absolutely above and beyond amazing, so kind, helpful, and as sweet as her cupcakes! My friend and I had never been before, and she was so welcoming and gracious! We will ABSOLUTELY be back soon, we are so excited we found A Southern Girl Bakery!

Awesome! I live several states away from my sister-in-law, and wanted to send her a sweet b-day treat. A Southern Girl Bakery was recommended by a co-worker. They were responsive and easy to work with. They put together a great (and huge!) box, included a card, and delivered to the door with a big Happy Birthday. Perfect! I now have a go-to remote NH bakery!

I have Celiac Disease and can attest that Ramona cleans very intensely before making gluten free baked goods! I’ve never gotten glutenized. The caramel cupcake is my absolute favorite. Cherry pie and vanilla butter pound cake delicious! Courtney and Ramona, the Southern Girls bring a much needed bakery to the Seacoast
